The Food is good ,Under New management The prices listed on the menu are Not accurate ,the check was doubled in price Other than the increase in price the establishment is Nice, Staff is assertive The food alone will have this restaurant strive. Just need to work on updating pricing (false advertising) And customer service

It started out innocently enough. Grill House boasts a quaint and charming ambiance alongside an extensive, tantalizing menu. After receiving multiple recommendations from fellow guests at the Fountainbleu Hotel, we were not prepared for the saga that awaited us. Grill House is a modern Mediterranean restaurant located just off 41st Street in Miami Beach. It serves up everything from Satay teriyaki chicken, Asian Korean steak, and Moroccan meatballs to lamb chops, burgers, and grilled chicken. Things started off on a good note. When we arrived, we were promptly seated. Our waitress quickly introduced herself and asked if we had any questions. She was nice, friendly, and personable. But our server's nice demeanor was unable to hide her lack of knowledge about many of the items on the menu. When I inquired about the differences between several cuts of meat, she was unable to provide me with any details. In fact, many of the things she told me directly contradicted what was actually written on the menu! We started things off with the basics - chicken drummettes marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The presentation was nice for this flavorful appetizer. We hoped this was a prelude to the main course. But our high hopes were quickly dashed when we realized that we had inadvertently entered a time warp. Time....stood....still. Children grew up, a few ice ages came and went, and yet there was no sign of our steak and grilled chicken entrees. Once we realized it had been eons since we placed our order, my wife and I decided to play a little game we enjoy while waiting for our food. We placed bets on exactly how long it would take for the food to arrive. Since we were on vacation and in no hurry, we were up for a fierce round of the betting game. We therefore deliberately avoided asking the wait staff why it was taking so long for our entrees to arrive. An hour into our little food game there was still no sign of the entrees. A full hour!!!! At this point I broke down and asked our waitress what was taking so long. She said she will ask the kitchen and give us an update. Several minutes later she informed us that the food "will be here any minute". It sounded promising but "any minute" wound up being code for twenty more minutes! That's how long it took after our server assured us the food would be arriving "any minute". Finally, after 80 interminable minutes, the entrees mercifully arrived. The victory was short lived. My steak, which was ordered medium, arrived completely rare. I quickly asked to speak to the manager, who offered up a half-hearted apology. He blamed it on a glitch in the computer ordering system. When he offered us a complimentary glass of wine, I told him at this point I would be thrilled if they could simply cook my steak to a perfect medium and bring it back quickly. About fifteen minutes later the steak returned. The good news is that the steak was cooked to a perfect medium and was quite flavorful. The bad news is that this was a sub par steak. At $55 the steak was grossly overpriced for such an inferior cut of meat. It was not well marbled and contained plenty of gristle. I've honestly had $10 steaks from the supermarket that were higher quality than this steak. On a postive note, my wife's chicken breast was a generous double portion that fared much better than the steak. Had I known better, I would have certainly ordered the chicken breast and saved us two hours of heartache. The sides were lackluster in every way. From cold, soft fries to can quality rice and vegetables, the sides came up short for us on all fronts. All in all, despite the nice ambiance, Grill House wound up feeling like a makeshift operation rather than a seasoned restaurant. They could improve the experience with a more professional wait staff and streamlined kitchen. From the misinformed and inexperienced servers to the inconsistent and disappointing food, this tiresome experience is not something I plan on soon repeating.

Me and my wife eat just Kosher food and is Passover holiday. Just my wife order because is to much 50$ for chicken breast , you need to be a shame on you , in chef restaurant maybe is the price but in your place not! This is the last time I'm coming to this place and of course I going to tell to all my friends is coming to visit in Miami!! Also the Service is terrible !!

The fat from the ribs which tasted terrible

I came here and all I did is wait... And when they brought out the appetizers they looked like crap and were in tiny portions which was terrible since we were waiting for an hour already Also we asked for water which took an hour and I half to come Recommend u come at 5 if u want your food at 10

Chicken Drummettes??? I think they meant to say chicken toes, right? Not even enough meat to cover a penny. $12.90... Shame!

My family and I went out to celebrate my husband's birthday and found this place while driving. We decided to order appetizers, let's just call them by what they should've been called in the first place. Chicken toes (drummettes)--so tiny the meat couldn't cover a penny, rack of lamb fat (baby lamb spare ribs)--not quite sure what baby lamb has lived long enough to become so fatty... Add a couple other appetizers to the mix (a total of four appetizers and four waters) and you've got $75 worth of disappointments. Over-priced to say the least... And come to find out, after our "meal," nonetheless, they automatically add an 18% automatic gratuity, and have the nerve to still leave a place to add in more! AND I'm just reading they had 18 health violations!! Are you kidding me⁉ They should be ashamed. Won't be back. Period.

    This is really great food.

If you are looking for a kosher Meat restaurant don't look further this one is the best. Classy Deco and large terrasse in a premium location in Miami Beach, this place offer a large menu. My favorite is the Ribeye Burger or the Ribeye Steak! Good selection of wine too. Amazing food, great location, very friendly staff, Grill house has it all!!!!

We were so surprised and impressed by the service, quality, value, and execution of food. Alberto was our main waiter who was supported by additional staff who were friendly and attentive- simply professional and hospitable. We tried the ham croquettes, melted cheese with chorizo, and fried calamari for starters; and the tomahawk, rib eye, and picana steaks as our mains. The croquettes were so delicious with two dipping sauces- the green herbal one was a perfect pairing. The melted cheese was excellent, prepared and presented in a cast iron skillet with crisp edges. The fried calamari was delightful as well with large fresh pieces and accompanied by fried zucchini chips amidst the calamari. The stars of the show were the meats that were prepared just the way we wanted and like. Each person in our group ranked the meats in different order but we loved the taste with the sides- sweet potato fries, regular fries, grilled corn, and the salt and sauces. The meal was better than expected and just what we needed. We left very happy, very satisfied, and very grateful for the experience. Thanks to Alberto and team!

To start, I was trying to eat at Tapelia and when we asked to be seated we were put in Ole Ole…read morerestaurant which was confusing but we went with it as we didn't want to sit outside. A short recap of the restaurant is the food is not worth the wait at all! We placed our order of drinks, appetizers and main dishes at 2:57. The restaurant was at maybe 60-70% capacity. Our drinks came relatively fast. When we noticed our patrons next to us had already almost finished their appetizers despite being seated AFTER we placed our order we started getting annoyed that our guacamole appetizer hadn't even appeared despite it now being 3:20! When Henry, the manager, asked if we were ok, we asked where our appetizers were in a respectful way and our waitress, Adriana, came by immediately saying, "you only ordered 5 min ago" with such atrocious attitude that wouldn't even be suited for an off Highway Diner. Henry did a great job trying to lighten the experience, and our guacamole did arrive shortly after. Then at 3:45 when we hadn't seen our waitress once since the previous encounter, and our main dishes hadn't arrived we went straight for Henry and he said, "oh you're food is done, are you ready for them?" As if we had to ask versus them arriving when done. They came immediately after. Henry offered to remove one of our appetizers for the trouble but did not. Which is fine, we hadn't expected it, though it was more just annoying as he said he would. I love to tip good service, though this is a prime example of why it is not ok for 20% to be automatically included in a check. The patrons next to us had a different server and their food came out with great time and they seemed to have the experience we were hoping for when we arrived. So I would have happily tipped their server 20%, however Adriana did not deserve hers and by automatically getting it there is no way for her to be motivated to improve. Onto food, three of us ordered a salad with steak, I forget the name but the steak was so hard to cut and even harder to chew. The other in our group ordered the Chiro Burger? And there was chorizo in it, and lacked flavor per him. The guacamole was delicious as were the fries but the melted cheese with chorizo was not good. Miami has such amazing food, so I'd skip this place.

After looking at the reviews I presented Mareva 1939 as my top choice. I contacted them and made a reservation for 10 people, and after the first reservation time I had to adjust with Mareva for people arriving in late because of flights. No problem for Mareva and they didn't need a deposit for the restaurant. It is in the National Hotel, next to where we are staying box 1 check. The place was beautifully decorated and staff all attentive throughout the night. That was my criteria not my boss' since the lack of good service can destroy a great meal. The food choices all were excellent but centered on tapas and Spanish cuisine which checked the second box. Served family style we all chose a number of different tapas and shared. Then large patella dishes, they were plentiful and all delicious. Lastly the price, which may seem high for those outside the area but not for those who know Miami Beach. The bill for the 10 of us that included several drinks person and enough food and desserts to leave us full came to $1,002 including tip and taxes. All boxes checked and my boss and team happy, Mareva 1939 was a huge success.
