Another tiktok recommendation! In town for the weekend with the girlies and pizza was on our list to eat. Stumbled on this place per social media and upon arrival we decided to sit in. Ambiance was really nice on a friday and with a concert going next door there was a crowd out. The pizza is customizable and you can even go halfsies. Four of us so we did just that, customizing it to our own personal desires. Honestly was pretty great! We both got 16' pizzas, perfect to split. Charge is per topping which i thought was pretty neat. I am a fan of Grimaldi's pizza but not a fan of this location. I think it's just the aftermath and results of a low staffing. The bartender who helped was was fine, not issue with service. The time to get my order was long for an online order, an hour. I came to the restaurant to pick up early and the restaurant was not full. I guess busy is busy if you have low staff numbers? I don't know. This is my second visit to this location post pandemic and it was an extra wait on a previous online order as well. Again, I like Grimaldi's pizza. I was disappointed in the sparse green pepper and mushroom. I had to do a double take when I checked the order. We only ordered a cheesecake and it took a while due to the workers in Kitchen playing around. Dined in on a busy Friday night. Only waited apx 7 minutes to be seated on the patio. It was a beautiful day that turned chilly and the outside heaters were not working. Our waitress was very entertaining. It took a while for our food to come out due to the establishment being so busy which is to be expected on the weekend. Grimaldis, yes is a large pizza chain restaurant, but it is a good pizza chain restaurant. This was my moms first time here, so she took the lead in ordering. I told her that the few times I've been here I've really enjoyed it. So, we decided to split their house salad and a build your own white and garlic pizza. For the build your own pizza we got pepperoni, prosciutto, spinach, red peppers, and onions. Omg--everything was delicious! The salad was light, crispy, and made want to keep eating more. The piza was crispy, light, and flavorful. The only thing I would change is to bake the pizza a little while longer as the toppings were just just floating on top and were falling a little all over the place. They brought us oil and vinegar and the crispy crust dipped and combined so well. My mom really loved the environment--all the New York inspired art on the wall and the 1940s/50s music. Pizza just before a concert...can't beat it! Grimaldi's is right beside the Toyota Music Factory. I must have timed it right as I was seated within 5-10min of arriving. My server was very pleasant and took my order quickly (I also knew what I wanted). I had the Italian Margarita. It was really good, I could just slightly taste the amaretto. I also ordered the pizza Margarita. I really like the crispy crust of Grimaldi's pizza! The pizza came out fiery hot and delicious! I do wish it wouldn't cool down so fast... This was such a disappointing pizza for me. We got an 18" sausage and pepperoni pizza and as you can see from the picture, literally half the pizza doesn't even have sausages on it. They really skimp out on the ingredients. For a $26 pizza, I don't see why they should do that. In addition, the crust was pretty hard and half of it seemed to be burnt. You can see the black crust around half the pizza. Overall, the taste of the pizza was nothing special and I would not come here for pizza again. read more

My husband and I enjoy thin crust pizza and he had mentioned a while back that Grimaldi's had really good food. Not wanted to cook during a recent weekend, we ordered takeout. My hubby said that when he picked up the order, the place was packed. Wish they would have been social distancing more, but whatever. Bored with traditional pizza, we ordered the Garden Pesto Pizza. This beautiful pie was topped with artichokes, red onions and ricotta cheese that was drizzled with basil pesto sauce. I added mushrooms and jalapeños. It was super tasty and unique. This NY style pizzeria adds another great option for those dining in Las Colinas. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - There's an open patio with red and white awning and lights strung above. The walls are red brick which compliments the red checkered tables. They do a great job of recreating a little NYC in Dallas. As a bonus, there's a bar that has a window that opens to the outside - perfect for spring. 1 Star. Service - I had the BEST experience here. I mistakenly ordered a pizza with an ingredient I couldn't eat. The fault was 100% our fault, and the manager offered to make us another pizza without the ingredient. They also said we could take the extra one home to give to our family. Again, we ordered wrong, but the staff still went out of their way to make sure we got our order. Thanks team! 2 Stars. Food - The thin and crispy crust holds up better than your Neapolitan style pizzas (Cavalli/Cane Rosso). Those of you who don't like soggy middles will love Grimaldi's. Also, the slices are BIG. I can't type slow enough to review this dining experience. We almost left before even getting water on the table. 12 minutes before the first interaction with the waitstaff. Then another 15 minutes before the appetizer came out incorrect. Along the way ordered a bottle of wine which would have been great with the appetizer. Another long span and the bruschetta reappeared but still no wine. Bruschetta was ok, you should be able to get a good tomato in Dallas, and at least there was a nice helping of shaved Parmesan cheese on each. Waiter finally comes back - still without wine. Looks like having a glass before the pizza arrives is not in the cards. Turns out that they are out of the recommended, reasonably priced wine. Once we were pushed to the other, more expensive wine in the category waiter goes away again. Possibly to get said more expensive wine? Nope, pizza arrives. No Parmesan cheese, so we request some, expecting that some freshly grated cheese would appear. Nope - Pizza Hut shaker with processed cheese analog. Some wine might be nice to wash that down? Look - wine and even glasses are on the way. Since Grimaldi's uses small carafe wine service not expecting much on the wine service here. Expectations met. We really wanted to like this place, but from the poor (4 options) bourbon selection to the long delay to even get our check it was a disappointment. After the delays and mistakes I figured the manager might stop by to check on things, but I guess that it didn't get to that level. Not recommended. Plenty of other places in Music Factory, and we may expand our circle in the future for additional options in the surrounding area. Based on pace of service you could drive to Downtown Dallas or Southlake and have food and drinks on your table faster. read more

The first time they told us they were stocking items in the restaurant but other diners were there eating pizza. The second time the manager told us they were closing early because business was slow. This review gets one star only because of the kind hostess and waiter. Let me say that I've been to this location many times; takeout and dining in. And had I witnessed what I did in the OPEN kitchen tonight I probably would've never come back. As we're sitting waiting for the pizza, we notice the guy making the pizza with no gloves on and mask under his nose; while fully making pizzas. Now, I give a little grace because hey, the pizza is about to go in a flaming hot oven.. any and all germs will be gone. So okay, I get over it. But then, I see a guy come out of the kitchen, with no mask on might I add, taking out the trash. That same guy taking out the trash proceeds to give the guy making a pizza dap. Mind you, neither party has on gloves. They also continue to have conversations..laughing and carrying on right over uncooked pizza. Unsanitary, right?? So yeah, I'm bothered. Moments later, I witness the manager.. whose clearly the manager, cut a fresh pizza with no gloves on and his face mask under his nose. And if that wasn't enough, that same manager proceeds to move around toppings bare handed on an already in progress pizza. Why, I have no idea. THEN he proceeds to fiddle with his hair and put his hands in his pockets. Needless to say, after all of that we were completely turned off and decided to leave before eating. The waiter was very apologetic which we appreciated. But the fact that Manager didn't even come over to ask what was the issue or apologize speaks volume. I ordered mushrooms on half of the pizza and I could literally count less than 10 small pieces of mushrooms at $2.00. Salad had little toppings, was mostly lettuce. Have had skimpy toppings before here, but thought it was a one off. Guess not. Taste and quality was still good at least, just not worth the premium prices. read more

I'll start with cleanliness...they clean the table cloths off with literally their bare hand and nothing else. We noticed it done at one table while we were waiting on our food and were shocked by what we saw. Then as we dined, we noticed 2 more table get "cleaned" in the same fashion. Disgusting! Service. Lots of options here movies, restaurants, and even a music venue. I love coal fired pizza. So wanted to try. Not familiar with this place. I think it's a chain. Nice and big. Large patio. Not a huge bar area. Just a corner with about 8 seats at the bar a 5 high top tables. I sat at a high top table. Bartender waited on me. He was pleasant and nice to chat with. I ordered a small house salad and the 12" margarita pizza. Here is my major pet peeve with salads. You boast lots of ingredients but don't give me much. However they do give you lots and lots of red onions. The cheap ingredient that is piled on. It suppose to have tomatoes. There were 2 grape tomatoes cut into halves. A few red peppers all clumped together. 2 olives. Mushrooms all broken and scarce. And to equal the onions way too much dressing. Dressing is good just way too much of it. Here is the best part. The pizza. Definitely good. It was thin, crispy, cheesey, and the toppings looked good. Best part of the meal. I would definitely get the pizza again. We came here for my birthday, I didn't prepare to be this disappointed. Service: our server was okay, he was attentive enough at first, but as the evening wore on. We saw less and less of him. He was also the bartender, there was only two people at the bar. He didn't even bother checking on us after we got the pizza. We slowly sipped our drinks to make sure that we wouldn't have to worry about a refill. Since he never even looked our way. The tea that we originally got was completely sour. I had a weird taste to it, the manager went and switched out our drinks and brought back tea that tasted similar but slightly better. I have a feeling that they mixed the tea with a slightly fresher batch. Pizza: we had gotten a free pizza for my birthday, we had requested that it be cooked light, when it is charred it does not taste very good to us. For the first time the crust and the bottom were very charred. The second attempt was much better, but we noticed during this time that the guys that were making the pizza we're not using any kind of clubs or instruments. They were throwing items on the pizza, not that big of a deal, I know that the pizza oven kills most of the germs, but what concerned me was what if I had an allergic reaction to something and they just slapped it on there with the same hand. Bathroom- during the night I ended up having to go to the restroom. Now I'm normally I don't post anything about the bathroom, but it was just really disgusting. I ended up having to clean the toilet so that I would be able to use it. When I went to go wash my hands the sink was having trouble draining, I had to clear out a little of the gunk that was inside just so it wouldn't flood. Ridiculous. I shouldn't have that problem. I've come here several time is in the last year or so , we were some of the first customers when they opened, and we went there for my last birthday. The pizza here is top notch especially enjoying their open air bar area on a Saturday afternoon. Wonderful patio area space as well, I will make sure to explore that a bit further the next time. Make sure to order some Freakshow vino to go right along with it! I did not know anything about this wine until a friend told me about it. It was pure heaven! Red wine is good for the heart and cures all my pandemic stress sorrows away. First time here. Like the ambience but we have some common customer concerns. First of all, we ordered iced tea, but was not offered any sweetness for the tea, which we normally use. Cleanliness...dried sauce on tablecloth that was hidden by a plate over the spot. Very long hair strand on a plate and napkin. Could not alter any of the specialty pizza ingredients (due to food sensitivities) so we had to build our own pizza. Just wanted one ingredient moved to one side of the pizza...NO. Pizza came out with half burned crust...take it back and had them redo it and asked them to watch it. Very happy that the manager approached us on his own and apologized and stated that the pizza was indeed burnt. Offered complimentary appetizer or salad. We ordered Caesar salad that we split. New pizza was just right cooking wise. Flavorful with lots to take home. In this location for this restaurant, there are lot of other eating choices. To me, this means the restaurants need to be more customer oriented and flexible with the options if the customer chooses. read more
