Filthy! I was blindsided that the numbers next to the topping section was the price for each individual topping! Thinking that this is a typical pizzeria where it's a standard price for a 12" I chose chicken bacon and white sauce with mushrooms! This is disgusting to do to your guests. Holy f sh*t! Your service sucks. Drink after drink were spilt and knocked over from one table to the next, MINE INCLUDED!! The ground is filthy and disgusting with no one sweeping it. I will never come here again. MAKE YOUR GUESTS AWARE OF THE PRICE YOU ARE DECEIVING THEM BY! I was offered to speak to the manager right then paying my bill but I knew if I did I would have had some heavy words for this bullshit you played in my face! First time we discovered Grimaldi's was in Nevada and didn't know then, that they had locations in many states. This particular one is convenient for us. My husband's favorite is still The Don but we decided to cash-in on his free birthday pizza. I tried their cauliflower crust with basil and it was very good. I would definitely go back and try their gluten-free crust just to compare. Today's service was provided by Christina, who was very pleasant and sweet. She let us know the status of our order and offered dessert. It was busy inside the restaurant so we sat out in the patio area. Stopped by here on a whim on a Wednesday afternoon and we ended up really liking it! The service was quick and friendly! Shout out to our server/bartender for the 10/10 service (can't remember his name unfortunately). We ordered a small antipasto, the seasonal Italian hero pesto pizza and a cannoli for dessert. The antipasto was good but the bread could've been toasted a bit longer. The pizza was delicious! It was thin, crispy and the ingredients were a perfect medley. So many mistakes, and a burned crust. If there is one thing a pizza place should get right.

This is my favorite pizza but when I order online, the customer service is terrible. Every time I come over to pick up my order, the workers there don't exactly pay attention to the customers or even ask questions for why are you are there. Not only that, but they absolute lie about the timing of your order to hand out. Having to come in first just for them to say it's still not ready, despite ordering minutes earlier. And come in second,just to still find out that my order is still not ready yet. Toppings are the same price either half or whole pizza and creating a half and half specialty pizza will generate the world's most expensive pizza so you need to keep it simple or they go for the hind teeth. Went to Grimaldi's on a Saturday night and had a 15 minute wait which was surprising with how busy the Village was. We were sat outside which wasn't bad with the heaters. Super beautiful view of the fountain. I have been here before and had amazing pizza. This time we tried the caeser salad. I was not a fan... it tasted like bag salad from the store. Although my fiancé did enjoy it. Just too sweet for my liking and the lettuce was almost soggy. We tried a new pizza this time, The Brooklyn Bridge. It was a pretty good pizza. Walked in and my party was seated immediately. They weren't busy at all on this Thursday night, many empty tables. (Hmmm) First time here. We had friends visiting from out of state so we took them to the Village to shop and then decided to eat here for dinner since we'd never eaten here before and unknowingly would be our last. THIRTY min later our Pizza's came out. Isn't brick oven pizza made faster than oven pizza's? After taking a bite of our pizza they had made our pizza wrong. They put on Red sauce and not the white like I ordered. Our friends food was fine. So, when the server came by (which was only four times, being seated, drinks, order problem and bill) I told her that we got red sauce instead of the white sauce like I ordered. She said we ordered the red. I said, no, I ordered white. Even our guests at our table said I ordered white. I felt embarrassed because she made me feel like it was my mistake and not hers. Definitely not the way to treat a customer. I guess the old phrase "the customer is always right" doesn't exist in this establishment. So, she said she could have another one made in 5 min. FIVE MINUTES?? It took them 30 min to get the first incorrect pizza brought to our table! I told her no. We didn't feel like eating later than our friends because they would have been done with their meal by the time our correct order was served. Quality? Pizza was lukewarm, ordered extra cheese and it seemed a normal amount to us and not extra. Way too much sauce (again, not the sauce ordered). Pizza had LOTS of crust. A large slice only gave about 5 bites with cheese and very MINIMAL amount of toppings. The crust was abundant, dry, hard and burnt. Very disappointing. I should have checked the reviews before coming here. So, after finishing, the server brings the bill. There was no offer/discount for their mistake or even another apology. Server stood there with her electronic held bill tablet waiting for me to pay along with her tip with her watching. Even with all this I felt obligated to tip her. I don't know why I tipped her 18% for taking our order and someone else dumping off the incorrectly made pizza. I did say to her that it would have been nice to eat the pizza we ordered. She then said, I thought you said red and it's very noisy in here!! Noisy? The place was at about 25% capacity! Still NO APOLOGY!! It was just a horrible experience. Never eating here again. Such a waste of $55.00 for Garbage pizza. Frozen grocery store bought Tombstone Pizza would have tasted better. Don't waste your time or hard earned money. We have had the pleasure of having pretty close to all servers this far .... Philip, Logan, Emma, Savanna truly all have been awesome! We just went there for our 25th wedding anniversary :) savanna was our server she is just a sweetheart...she took the extra touch of our dessert/cheesecake plate and made chocolate hearts on the plate! We were excited to try Grimaldi's pizza. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, which was on a Friday afternoon. 3 adults and one child. First red flag: Confusion at the host station as 3 employees debated where to put us as if we weren't there. Second red flag: Lengthy history and description from server on why this place is better and different than other pizza places. Felt very "corporate". Third red flag: The menu: each pizza topping has a price from 2 dollars to 4 dollars each. Add that to the hefty base price of a pizza and the price shoots up like a Spacex rocket. The food: Overall the pizzas were skimpy, bland and unremarkable. I couldn't believe how flat and "miserly" they seemed. To me, if you crow about how good your product is, then you back it up with generosity and care about the quality and presentation of the product, especially when you are charging premium prices. We also ordered a gluten free pizza for one of us. We asked for olive oil rather than sauce. Delivered 30 minutes after the other pizzas with no olive oil, just a bone dry pizza. This pizza was severely burnt and the sausage topping was barely 2 small crumbles of sausage- for a whole pizza? It was less than one slice would need. Who is the chef? We paid our bill and left. The food was just ok but the prices almost knocked me sideways. I ordered a $14 calzone and the waitress cheerfully said "you can add whatever toppings you want to it!" So I proceeded to add pepperoni, onion, and green pepper. Ended up being an extra $4 for the pepperoni and $2 each for green pepper and onion. A friggin $22 calzone?! My mocktails were $7 each for some soda water and flavoring! Yeah, nothing special about this place but I guess they have to charge crazy prices for pizza just to make their rent in The Village. My first time trying a Grimaldi's pizza, and my goodness where has this been all my life. This was a great pizza. I had it delivered, it arrived fresh and hot. The crust was both crispy and chewy, and the sauce matched perfectly with the mozzarella, the basil the basil I say again, next time I'll get the margarita as the basil was a hit, as it added another dimension. Horrible service at the bartop. Waited over 30 minutes just to get our Bruschetta appetizer. Which was not very good and very small portion. Went on a Friday evening in the spring, and sat on the outside patio in view of the Village's fountains. Made for a nice date night with my husband, as do most evening trips to the village in general. This is a chain that doesn't feel like a chain, and has really good pizza. We got "The Don" with the addition of olives, and the meatballs were the best topping on the pizza, not that any of the toppings were bad, the meatballs were just really good. Service was ok. Could have been better- and our waitress didn't really take any time to explain, answer questions or even tell us the specials. While it was better than the eatery on the other side of the fountain (YB), it still cost them 1/2 a star. Would I come back- yep. Would I bring people? Yep. And that's ultimately what matters. The only reason it lost another 1/2 star was the lack of appetizers that we wanted to eat - but then, in theory, you have room for more pizza and desert- which we took home and wasn't worth the $6 extra (so skip it and head to another spot in the village if you need sweets). read more

I keep coming back here and I keep forgetting to take a picture of the pizza.. next time I will get a picture. Today one of my pizzas where a bit on the charcoal side but our server Filip re made the pizza for us and it was so delicious. I'm always satisfied with the quality of food here and the service too. I haven't had an unpleasant experience. I love there soda water its so refreshing and good. The Cesar salad it's always fresh and crisp. Today I tried an achogolic drink I can't remember what it was because they didn't have an amaretto sour but I was pleasantly surprised of how good this one tasted it reminded me of grapefruit. My daughter had her service dog with her and we had no issues with her being inside the restaurant. Big plus on that to Grimaldi's we where very satisfied. read more

I went here for lunch as I was enjoying some alone time. I want to start by saying my server was wonderful! There is no lunch menu so I was going to order a small house salad and a calzone. The calzone was $15. I told the server what I wanted and she said "Do you want to add toppings? " I asked was that extra? She said that it was. I then asked what toppings came with and she said nothing. I then asked if it was $15 for the dough and sauce and she said "yes " I was shocked and just ordered a salad which was only ok. The lemon arugula salad is to die for! The "small" size is perfect for two. I was expecting there to be some other appetizer that was like a bread dish with marinara, but was mainly bruschetta and salads. While the pizza was tasty, I do feel like it is overpriced for what you get. We had a great server, but about half way through our time here there was a giant group (probably 25+ with kids) in the side of the restaurant we were in. It was SO loud. My husband and I could barely hear each other speak. I could tell our server felt bad, and it was truly out of her hands. This is apology for how unattractive my review behavior was previously when I was hangry. And I'm going to use this to mention a don't-miss-it seasonal pizza that will be off the menu in March because sometimes one regrets not having had the advance chance to know of fleeting delicious things. Read on. Prego. FIrst the apology. Look at me stomping my review feet last Fall when I discovered for the first time that Grimaldi's re-stokes their coal fired pizza oven in afternoons daily and so no pizza can be ordered after 4:00 or served before 5:30. Daily. I was perturbed that the first world sort of problem was only learned by me after we went in the door at 4:00 hungry with pizza on our radar and unable to order it. Now I know better the OOS oven hours to put this in perspective. I mean I had it in perspective before. The lesson is don't write reviews when hangry. So this is a 'do-over" review given we have been in Grimaldi's twice in the last two months to enjoy delightful mid-afternoon service (thank you Connor) before the ovens shut down. And on this most recent visit was also the happy discovery that Tuesday is half off bottles of wine day so we could order a full bottle for less than the price of two glasses. We got to sip wine (no, we didn't drink it all, we left some for our server to enjoy post shift) and enjoy the warm space on a cold winter day while we listened to the "old Italian neighborhood" classic songs from Sinatra, Dino, Sammy et al to which my old Brooklyn - Italian husband knows every word (and with which I would sing along had the wine bottle been finished). But we came for the Seasonal Special pizza - Onions Braised in Red Wine, Italian Sausage, Fresh Basil and Mozzarella. It was one of the tastiest pizzas enjoyed during five years of Boise area living. As high praise I suggest this was a pizza that could make Tony's Pizzeria Teatro (arguably the best in the Valley) proud if it came out of that oven. Perfetto all around for just enough toppings and not too much and just right crust finish with just right coal oven char. Is there a new manager in charge of the kitchen or was it just good fortune to have the seasonal pizza perfecly done on that day? We may need to try it again before it departs the menu in March to find out. It is one to put on your "to eat" list too, I think. And as tip - leftover slices taken home hold and heat well but have no fewer calories as leftovers than if you ate it all there. A reason to leave room while there for dessert is the cannolli which is filled just before being delivered to the table and very good here - the best of any in the Boise area based on our 'research' - and is nicely shareable by two with a Illy Americano. But if I could change one thing, I would move this concept-chain eatery out of The Village so parking and getting to the door was easier. Village Parking is a bear. The darned parking problems are the only reason besides the numbers on the bathroom scale that we don't go to Grimaldi's more often. PS - Grimaldi's now has a liquor license to expand beyond wine and beer and a full bar will likely be launched sometime in Spring.
