Therefore, if you're looking to drink a beer (or any kind of alcoholic beverage) with a great atmosphere, this is the place. For food, the bartender told me they were known for their pizza. I was hungry and knew I would be playing poker at Daytona Beach for a very long stretch, so after ordering the pizza, I saw someone with a small steak plate and it looked good, so I ordered that as well. The pizza was okay and the steak was slightly above average. Based on my food reconnaissance mission, a burger is probably the way to go. The service here is also good. They are attentive and friendly. This sounds simple and expected, but in some places the people are miserable, so this does have a lot of value. Prices are fair. Overall, recommended. read more

Decided to have a night with my coworkers after a long shift working at the hospital. We say outside and were waiting forever for someone to help us, we saw two young girls passing us by multiple times, they did not help us , they kept goong up to a table im front of us chatting away ignoring customers who have been seated forca long time and ignoring. Within 20 minutes of no service afetr realizing they weren't gonna help us we had to wave aggressively to get their help. One girl had long brown hair and hightop converse wearing a black kona shirt and the other girl had blonde hair with a braid and a blue kona shirt. They ignored customers multiple times , seems like they only cared about their friends who were seated near us and seemes to care more about trading vapes. This is a review for the Sunday Brunch. Thought this brunch buffet is a GREAT choice in the area and at a decent price point for what is offered. Any of the breakfast standards you could possibly want are available on this buffet (and at a good standard), including an impressive omelette station. The kitchen did an AMAZING job on the buffet selections offered, the quality of the food and keeping the food freshly replenished. I'm not big on carbs but couldn't resist the fruit pancakes and homemade fruit syrup selections that were absolutely delicious (and highly recommended.) The fresh fruit salad is also worth mentioning to try. But even better is this buffet offered unexpectedly sliced Prime Rib! OMG Happiness! (My only suggestion would be to serve the wine sauce or even better, an au jus on the side -- as the flavor of the meat is fine enough without much enhancement needed. And it was also SINCERELY appreciated by my party!) Our service was good, but was surprised to find that there's NO refills on coffee for this Brunch (or Decaf ) -- until my check came! We used the private room for a rehearsal dinner. Everything was just as it was needed. We were able to serve 37 guests to a sit down meal. We had a TV for a video presentation as well as an open bar. The surf and turf was amazing. Amanda did an outstanding job keeping us updated and there were 0 surprises when it came time to pay the bill. All guests were impressed and complementary of the service and the food. I had no complaints whatsoever. We were looking for someplace new to try on our annual trip to Daytona. We found Grind Gastropub just a few miles north in Ormond Beach. The restaurant and the Kona Tiki Bar are all on one property. There is an inside dining room plus lots of open air seating under and around the bar. We ate outside because we wanted to be where there was live music. (They have live music most nights.). Plus the outside has a cool tropical vibe. The menu has tons and tons of options: appetizers, salads, hand-helds, pizzas, and big meals. So many of the salads sounded delicious; however I settled on the "Last Tango in Paris" salad which is a bed of greens, loaded with tomatoes, onions, red peppers, blue cheese crumbles, and topped off with a grilled, sliced steak and balsamic dressing. It was so delicious, and priced at just $14.00. My only complaint is that I wish there was more of it! My husband ordered the Grand Signature burger which came with a beer-battered onion ring, applewood bacon, and a fried egg on top of it. It also had a jalapeño cheese sauce topping. He said the bun was fresh; but despite all the toppings; the burger didn't have much flavor. He poured all the extra cheese sauce on top of it and he said it was just o.k. He did really like the sweet potato fries that he got for a side. The burger was $13.50. I enjoyed my meal immensely and the service was good; so I'm still giving them 4 stars. There are so many interesting things on the menu that I want to try even though I loved my salad and would probably order that again. Went to this restaurant on a busy Friday night. This is my second visit. OMG the wham Bam Lamb Pizza is off the Charts delicious! May be the best Pizza I've ever had! Seriously I have had a lot of Pizza and I have to say this amazing. The ingredients pair absolutely perfectly together. Im already trying to figure out when I can go back and get another one. We also had the last tango in Paris salad. I mean the steak is so tender and cooked a perfect medium rare. Big chunks of blue cheese. A very decadent and satisfying salad . Note that this review is based only on the Sunday brunch buffet as this was the only choice when we visited. We came right when they opened at 10:00. The free valet was a welcome surprise which we took advantage of. We walked through the back which was super cute as it was a Tiki theme and was all outdoor dining. The brunch buffet was not high priced at $15/person. They had a Bloody Mary bar and bottomless mimosas too! The brunch was mainly meat options as well as biscuits, gravy, French toast and Belgian Waffles. Being that I am gluten free I didn't have too many choices other than eggs, bacon and sausage. The fruit looked old so I didn't touch it. I wished they would've offered some vegetables like a salad or maybe some seafood too. However, given the cost of the brunch, I didn't expect too many high priced choices. We partook in the Bloody Mary bar and it was good! We got doubles and there was a hefty pour of vodka, which I appreciated. I like having the choice of vodka brands as well as bloody Mary mix. Such a good vibe! We are staying in Daytona at the Wyndham on the beach but we decided to venture out toward Ormond and found this gem! Hawaiian, beachy fun themed to the high heavens, as the name gives away of course! We just got drinks here, but their menu is massive - both food and beverage selections for days. The TVs on the patio are perfect for game days and there's not a bad seat in the house for that. Today is Saturday - so the special was $4 Captain Morgan and $5 Crown / Crown Apple, so not bad! LOTS of beer choices if you're not interested in the full bar. If you're in Daytona and don't like the area as much, it's way quieter and cute over here! Asian grilled chicken atop a base of peanut sauce topped with scallions and a pepper mix and gouda. Yum- this was different, but ever so delicious My partner order "The Buffalo Soldier" a burger with buffalo sauce and a side of fries. Not s morsel left and he raved over the fries. Decent place with a chill vibe, good food and good drinks. We noticed this place was pretty popular on Yelp and a local also recommended this place to us so we decided to go. It looks like their only parking options are the complimentary valet or street parking, which there isn't a lot of. They have a tiki bar out back which seems very popular as most guests seemed to go out there or leave from there, as the dining room inside wasn't very full. We stayed inside since we had been outside in the heat most of the day. They have a pretty extensive menu with something good for anybody. We started with drinks that ran about $8-9 per, and they were a good size and strong enough. Good price. We shared the pork sliders to start and those were good and had a nice sauce on them. I loved the side of the macaroni salad. As an entree my husband got the chicken parmesan sandwich with fries and I went with the citrus soy salmon. The chicken parm sandwich was better than you normally get anywhere and that salmon, oh my GOSH. I was going between that and a different menu item but I'm so happy that I went with the salmon. The Grind Gastropub and Kona Tiki Bar or "The Grind" as the locals call it, is right across the street from Ormond Garage on Granada Blvd. Once again, a place I have drove by numerous times yet never had the opportunity to stop until now. I truly have been missing out because this place is a sweet hangout spot and a local Ormond favorite. The interior is spacious and beautifully designed. I love the glossy lacquer finished wooden bar and high-top tables, brick walls, black iron pipe and exterior mounted electrical conduit and lighting. The artwork is unique but accompanies the theme perfectly. I can see myself returning here with a group and staying for hours. In the back of the restaurant there is a huge open Tiki Bar area with ample seating and a stage. This is a great place to have a few drinks, a bite to eat and maybe smoke a stogie if that is your thing. I did not eat here on this night because I just came from Ormond Garage where I enjoyed a satiating Pork Belly Cuban Sandwich. A few locals I spoke with all praised the food at The Grind. I can only imagine the food is good since The Grind is the parent company to Ormond Garage, and their food is great. I settled on some conversation with the locals, a Whiskey and Diet Coke ($4.50) and after that a Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA ($6.00). The staff were wonderful and the venue was clean (including the bathrooms). The Manager was nice enough to let me check out their two large private dining areas that could be booked for business meetings, weddings or other special events. I will definitely return in the future to try out some of the food and spend some more quality time here. If you have never had the opportunity to stop by while in the area, make the effort you won't regret it. read more

A couple friends invited us to try out this spot for lunch. My first impression was how open and large the venue is. The patio and outdoor tiki bar area looked like it would be amazing in the evening for live music. Since it was was high noon we opted to sit inside. The menu has a variety of burgers, pizzas and seafood entrees. The best appetizers we had were the poke nachos on wonton chips and portobello fries. They have quite a list of cocktails and some nice crafty beers. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive and eager to interact and joke with us. The pizza we ordered was fairly average but decent. A great hidden spot for a fun night out. We have been visiting Ormond (from Orlando) for over 20 years and first time visiting. Shame on us. It was raining during our visit so the thought of going to a tiki bar was a little questionable. It actually was perfect . They have indoor seating but in the back is a very large mostly covered tiki hut and bar. They even have outdoor heaters! We sat at the tiki bar with a very attentive bar tender. I can't remember her name but she knew all of the regulars and treated us as one of them. We ordered a lamb burger, baby pork shanks and lettuce wraps. They were great!
