The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean. The food had good flavor, and I would consider ordering it again. Unfortunately, it was served only lukewarm instead of at the proper temperature, which took away from the overall experience. What stood out most, however, was the presentation of the restaurant. Upon entering, I was greeted by numerous handwritten paper signs and messages written on dry-erase boards throughout the dining area. For a restaurant with mid-range pricing, this came across as unprofessional and distracted from the dining experience. I was also surprised that there was no standard silverware available--only individually wrapped, inexpensive plastic forks and spoons. As I was leaving, I noticed several customers were being served their meals in takeout containers rather than on traditional plates, which further gave the impression of a casual takeout establishment rather than a dine-in restaurant. Overall, the friendly service and flavorful food were definite positives, but the food temperature and the overall presentation of the restaurant left me remembering why I rarely choose to dine at Red Pier. With a few improvements to presentation and attention to detail, the experience could better match the prices being charged.

BUT even though I checked my bag before I left, it wasn't until I got home that I realized they had left an item out of my bag. I tried to call, the line was busy or went to voicemail each time so I never got any assistance. So unfortunately, that's reflected on my rating.

Love these tacos. Plenty of parking and corner restaurant. Walk up to the counter and order and they bring it to you. Friendly folks and service speed was good as they had to make it. The black bean and corn salsa was the bomb. Wow I love this stuff. It was awesome. Restaurant is bright and cheery and pretty much like I remembered it. Great experience. Love it.

They have updated the restaurant and its furnishings which is wonderful. All of the chairs have nice cushion seating. My husband had the fish and chips and throughly enjoyed it. We shared the bacon glazed chili Brussels sprouts which had an excellent flavor. We would have liked for them to have been cooked a little longer and sliced a little smaller, but the flavor was amazing, they were just a tad tougher than we like. I had the two taco combo with grilled zucchini . I t is a huge portion as it comes with two large pieces of zucchini along with the generously filled tacos. I loved the piri piri chicken taco and the grilled shrimp was good, but nothing spectacular. Both of the flour shells were a little crispy which was odd, but overall I enjoyed my meal. I dipped my zucchini in the lemon herb piri piri sauce which is excellent! Give them a try if you are ever in the area. They have several grilled fish options along with sandwiches and salads to choose from.

Well, we had a really pleasant Engagement Anniversary dinner at Seasons 52 on Tuesday evening. The…read morecelebration began with our welcome from friendly, cordial valets who genuinely seemed happy to park our car. Really! We had reservations and were promptly seated by a cordial hostess. The reason we chose this restaurant for our dinner was, simply, their grilled scallops. I've enjoyed them before and Tuesday's were even better than my recollection. The accompanying corn risotto, a seasonal special, was delicious. Its unexpectedly crunchy texture was a nice contrast to the tender scallops. We enjoyed a chilled rosé, and ended our meal with one of this restaurant's tiny-and-tasty desserts each: s'more for me, key lime for my husband. Perfect! But, my real motivation for writing this review is to compliment our waitress, Sophie. In my experience it's not easy to strike the right note when serving dinner to strangers. Sophie's work was just right; she listened to our requests, making eye contact with us both, and visiting our table at intervals that were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen prepared appealing plates and Sophie delivered them while they were hot. Best of all, she chatted with us, shared a little if herself and listened when we reciprocated. At the end of our dinner, our car was retrieved promptly by pleasant valets, and we were quickly on our way. All in all, we had a very relaxed and pleasant evening, so thank you, Seasons 52, and thank you, Sophie!

He was then subsequently also tasked with an entire conference room full of people to serve. - When our food did finally come out, it was lukewarm and the appetizer arrived when the rest of our meal arrived, 47 minutes after we arrived. --- Total miss management of staffing!!! - Also, they are cutting back on the size of the meatballs now, which used to be a favorite. We'll think twice about returning here!

I would like to update my review from July 30th, 2026, where I wrote about receiving some of the…read more(worst and unprofessional service) from this restaurant (Soul Fish Café) on Popular Ave, Memphis Tn. Though this did happen. After I posted it. I contacted the restaurant manager who was very apologetic that this happen and immediately wanted to make it right. We had a very good conversation about it and I'm convinced that this is not the behavior they allow from their staff. Shortly after that the district manager also called to apologize, we also had a very good conversation about this. I'm impressed with their response to this and will absolutely go back because it is one of our favorite places to eat, the food is excellent. To all my friends and family who contacted me about this please continue to support this business, in hindsight I should have waited for the manager's response prior to posting my post, but I was so taken back by the person's attitude. I'm convinced that this is a one off and not the norm. Thank you to the Soul fish on Popular Ave, Memphis Tn. leadership management team, still a fan-

The food is always fresh and if by chance there is an issue, they readily resolve to satisfaction. While my issues have been few and very far, I've witnessed a few "challenging" guests. They were handled them with dignity and professionalism. I appreciate being able to watch sports (especially basketball) while dining. The Southwest Cobb is my favorite, mainly because of the variety of vegetables and the level of freshness. If you like spice, the blackened shrimp has an excellent kick. If playing it safe (heartburn is real), simply ask them to go lighter on the blackened. Both the Poplar Ave and Cooper Young locations have an active security guard/lot attendant on the parking lots. There is such a relief in knowing that you don't have to anticipate a broken window or worse when returning to your vehicle. I give Soul Fish Cafe ! While they are known for the fried and blackened fish, the shrimp is always perfect. Quote me on that!
