A friend of mine had asked if I had checked out Grit Coffee in Wburg yet and in fact, I had not, so when I had made a cowork date with my work bestie, we went to Grit Coffee to check it out. - Parking - Street parking or there is a small free lot in the Midtown Row nook. - TLC - The barista was super sweet and super attentive to our requests. Great customer service. - Vibe - Very minimalistic vibe and clean. - Sips - We had had just had lunch nearby, so we weren't hungry, but could use a pick-me up at the time. My work bestie got a decaf mocha with oat milk hot and I opted for the strawberry matcha special iced. She seemed to like hers and I really liked mine! It was more on the strawberry side, but I still tasted the matcha. It was like a strawberry milk with matcha! Super tasty. This looks like a nice, little newly developed neighborhood. I am familiar with the area surrounding it, but when the GPS led me in this nook, I was surprised when I got into Midtown Row. Great combo of apartment buildings and businesses. They seem to be doing well as there were quite a few patrons during our visit. Enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!

I'm a huge fan of Grit Coffee! I love the Richmond locations and am obsessed with the Charlottesville spots. ***LOCATION*** This one is located in a strip mall near Lafayette st. in Williamsburg. There is a good amount of free parking nearby this coffeeshop. They also have bike racks to lock a bike to. ***EXPERIENCE*** Came here with my work bestie to cowork. I got a decaf mocha with oat milk and she got the strawberry matcha special. I found myself not liking my mocha as much as I usually do, maybe it's the decaf? Unsure, but it was still pretty good. My friend said her drink was heavier on the strawberry flavor. She still liked it. It's a very great place to get work done. It's quiet with a lot of seating options and natural light. The barista who served us was patience and funny. She matched our playful energy while ordering. ***PRICE*** Our two drinks were about $15. ***BATHROOM*** They have two gender neutral single stall bathrooms rooms here that have vacant or occupied locks. ***CONCLUSION*** I'm a huge fan of Grit and love seeing it in Williamsburg. This location is newer and I'm excited to see it grow a bigger following.

Spacious coffee shop with good service and good lattes. They had pastries that looked good but didn't try.

So much to love about this new discovery besides the fact that it's NOT a Starbucks lol and for those that know me, you know I love and love to support and discover tucked away indie coffee places (see my reviews!). This place is also a roastery and sells their own bean blends. I don't know the history behind the shop and name but was told it is chemistry themed and owned by W&M alum - yassssss! Service is SUPER friendly and excellent so that's a bonus! I lovvvvvvve that the latte menu is chock full of super creative seasonal flavors - so many to choose from!! I stopped by twice while in town and staying just down the street. Had a hot Rose Macaron latte and the next day had the Lemon Bar. Both were DELICIOUS. NOT OVERLY SWEET BUT WITH SUBTLE FLAVORS AND BOLD ESPRESSO TASTE. NOTTTTTT WIMPY WEAK. Both days I had the OG Bacon Egg Cheese sando on an ET bagel that was a decent accompaniment to my seasonal lattes which were clearly the stars of the show. I was there during the week - once mid afternoon, the other day late morning and it was not crowded at all both days. The seating area is HUGE. 2 separate adjacent rooms - walk through the front ordering area and you'll find a large, super cozy and inviting "living room" type space with comfy couches, armchairs, dining tables with chairs and even cubes for studying. Dark and moody vibes. SUPER COZY, RELAXING AND KEPT VERY CLEAN AND TIDY. The other seating area has a bunch of tables and chairs, lots of windows, brighter and more conducive for gathering. I took and posted a bunch of pics and some vids so check them out. So glad to have discovered this coffee spot and gem! Will definitely be back when I visit Williamsburg again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

So that's when I found this really good latte flight. I highly recommend it! You get it hot or cold. They have food. A cool looking fish tank. And honestly, a lot of good looking lattes and drip coffees. Definitely a nice place to hang out. You can sit outside or inside. Service was pretty quick and the staff was really friendly. If I live closer, I would come here way more often!

I personally got a shaken espresso with oat milk and 1 pump of caramel which was the perfect sweetness level for me. Service: 5/5 the cashier knew her stuff and was happy to make recommendations. She and the barista were very kind and quick to serve our coffee. Cool vibe, bit of a modern industrial roaster aesthetic. Staff were patient, professional, and provided good recommendations. I went with a Rwandan special pour over, one of my nephews got the hot chocolate, my daughter and another nephew each got iced caramel lattes. It was a bit chilly but we still enjoyed seats in their beautiful garden area. The Rwandan was served at optimal temperature and was complex and delicious! My daughter and nephews enjoyed their drinks as well. I will certainly return!

Um YES PLEASE!!!…read more This was a last minute decision to stop when we were on our way back from the farmers market and BOY am I glad we stopped in! Buckroe coffee was one of the best coffee shops I've been to in quite some time, too bad it's on the other side of the water from our house! Walking in you can tell it was once a bank, LOVE older buildings and stories like this! The atmosphere inside was amazing, there were all different types of customers enjoying conversation, working, and just enjoying time in their 3rd place. I ordered a blended mocha frappe. PERFECT on the hot day! My daughter ordered a lemon & white chocolate latte and it was one of the best she has had (and like her mother, she does love her coffee and is VERY picky) My husband went the non coffee route and ordered a Mango smoothie and found it refreshing and finished it in the car on the way home. If you are on the hampton side of the water I highly recommend you stopping at Buckroe coffee. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to head back up to the farmers market so I can stop here again on the way home :)

I substituted oat milk in my crème brûlée latte and it was a great substitution without changing the taste of the drink. Not too sweet. My breakfast sandwich was nice and flavorful. Croissant crispy and light, cheese nicely melted. I would have liked my bacon consistently crispy but it didn't take away from the quality or taste at all. Now the açaí bowl...wow! As soon as I lifted the lid, I could smell the fresh fruits. It was a great balance of fresh ingredients. This was my favorite item. Great value for the price and I can't speak enough on the freshness of the ingredients. 100% returning!!

My husband and I are regulars at Big Ugly but I've never taken the opportunity to try Taxus Street until this week. I tried to come on Monday and quickly learned they were closed, so returned the following day. They operate inside the brewery and have a nice setup in the corner. There is lots of seating - bars and high tops - and it's a great spot for a morning gathering. There was a meeting in the upstairs loft happening during my visit. The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. I was really pleased with my recent visit and I'll be happy to come back soon!
