On January 28, 2026 I took my sister for the second time in 4 days to Cracker Barrel in Douglasville, GA. as she was visiting from Chicago, Il. The first visit on Jan 24th was great as she had Never been there before. The experience was so nice she begged me to take her again on Jan 28th. That second visit was a horror story. First our 2 cups of coffee arrived with dried up lipstick on both cups and coffee stains. Yuck! (See picture) I had to get up and find the waitress and request new cups. Then, when our food arrived, the silverware was even MORE disgusting that the cups of coffee (see picture) I then had to get up from my table and go to the kitchen area to alert the waitress for more silverware. As we sat there for what seemed like forever waiting for silverware... by the time she came with it., the food was cold, pancakes tastes like rubber and I had to get up a third time to request a redo of the food. Three times I had to get up from the table and seek out the waitress. When the manager came, all he did was say "I'm sorry!" I could tell he was totally inexperienced and had no clue how to exact customer service. His apologies fell on deaf ears and we were relegated to just leaving without being able to eat or enjoy the food. A Total waste of money! Stopped by Cracker Barrel around 10 am for a dine-in experience and it was great. The atmosphere is truly cozy and nostalgic, living up to its country-style "home away from home" vibe with the charming country store and iconic rocking chairs out front. I was greeted promptly, and the whole restaurant, including the restrooms, was clean and well-maintained. Shout out to our server, R. Douglas, who was incredibly friendly and helpful--as was the cashier at checkout! I ordered the sticky buns and a breakfast plate, and everything was served hot and fresh, genuinely tasting like a home-cooked meal. Order the soup and salad around 8pm on a Thursday night. Not many people in there. Great! I thought. No one to seat us, had to ask to be seated. Got our salad and soup with no dressing or spoon of any sort. "I'll be right back with those"... we sat over 5 minutes looking at our food picking out the croutons to fill our hungry bellies. Overall worst Cracker Barrel I've ever been too. Walking in was welcoming but using the restroom started off the red flags 3 out of the 4 toilets were filthy and both trash cans are overflowing. Was at this restaurant to get just a vegetable plate and waited for over an hour while other people around me with meat and veggies were receiving their orders wound up leaving with no food. Ever order the 2nd best breakfast on the table? That was me. My friend ordered the country fried breakfast. With the chicken finger option. PERFECT BATTER AND FRESHNESS. My sugar ham slice was sad in comparison. Can't give a perfect score. Soft scrambled eggs under cooked. (This is a big test for me) Potato casserole was crispy from a sad long sit in a warming dish. We picked up the new Shepherds pie dish and it was 90% mashed potatoes with a thin , almost burnt, hash brown topping. I had one small piece of meat and 2 slices of carrots in my half of the dish and my husband didn't get anything but a small piece of meat. This dish is supposed to have peas and such, too. Sat for 15 mins at 4:30pm and no one came to take order. Called over hostess who took order and gave to a server, Tory. Tory came by and left utensils and said your food will be out in a minute. Don't say "Hello". Didn't apologize for the wait. She helped several other tables. Then we saw 2 tables that came after us food come out. By this time we had been sitting 1 hour. The hostess came over to give an explanation but not the server nor the manager. She said she really didn't know if Tory or Shelia was our server. I'm constantly disappointed in the breakfast food quality at Cracker Barrel. I've only been to Cracker Barrel three times in the last two weeks, and the food is always cold! I asked the waitress today to make sure the food is hot, and they put it in the microwave. You can always tell when food has been prepared earlier and then put in the microwave, especially bacon. I literally only ate a slice of bacon and biscuit and couldn't stomach the rest of it. I paid my bill and still left the waitress a 20% tip (because it's not her fault) and I complained to the manager, which she apologized. But I would have expected a rain check to come back and give it another try. However, that did not happen. I was disappointed in the customer service over all. read more

I've had better fried chicken in the Marines Mess Hall. I did not like their fried chicken the first time and how is it even possible they can make it worse the 2nd time? Skin was too hard, and inside was dry. I ordered it to go both times, got there just as they brought it out. My 2 sides were mashed potatoes and turnip greens, I asked them to put the gravy on the side, they did not. On top of that, they gave an extremely small dab on top so it was thick and heavy. The turnip greens had no juice either so now I have dry fried chicken, dry greens and thick, heavy dry mashed potatoes, I even gave the young lady at the register a tip for the lady who brought it out, almost $18 wasted. Who can go wrong with all day breakfast I mean come on we love Cracker Barrel. The food is always really good. The reason they didn't get five stars is because there's been more than a few times when the facility on the dining side was pretty empty, but we still had to wait quite a long time for a server to even come take a drink order but the food is so good and the store is clean if you're just a patient person and you can wait a little while to get your drinks. It took forever for our waters to come out. We only got 1 fork for 3 people and had to add twice to get more forks. Our food took forever to come out. I love Cracker Barrel store and personally the best meals to have is the fried chicken tender meal! They (mostly) be great as a food choice! And the hash brown casserole is Delicious if your new definitely try the hash brown casserole. But a sometimes I cannot understand the waiter (some) and I have to ask them to repeat themselves a lot. And I have a problem with the biscuits they all ways be so soft and undercooked. I could only eat the bottom and sometimes I can't eat it at all because all I taste is flour! So the only thing that's a problem is the biscuits really. But overall If I had to rate it 1-10 I would say 8. Funny story one time young me say a toilet about to flood and I flushed the toilet and it started flooding so fun experience for young me. But thank you and that's it! read more

In one word, services at the Lithia Springs,Ga. location was unacceptable. Took almost 2hrs to pick up one breakfast sampler. the estimated pick up time was 11:13am, but we didn't receive the order until almost 1:00pm. Romper Room I took my wife to this restaurant tonight. There was so much foolish going on amongst the staff we got up and left. The floor and numerous tables were dirty, including the one the hostess seated us at. But, all the wait staff was concerned with was cutting up. "What's going on up in this biatch?", one said. I probably should have known better than to even let them seat me. I guess the most troublesome aspect was their willingness to act up in the dining room. I almost always enjoy coming to this cracker barrel. Though sometimes the food takes a while to arrive, i can see that they are short-staffed in this store and that they are putting in effort to try and make it a good experience. I arrived at this cracker barrel coming back home from a long flight and this was the only restaurant open in which i could see that might have a chance of having food i would eat (i am extremely healthy and a vegetarian). As i sat down, the waitress greeted me with a smile even though it was almost midnight. I asked what they put in the muffins (again, health conscious) and she was unsure, but she got up and put in the effort to go get the manager. He was very nice and was able to tell me everything i needed to know (the muffins do not have added sugar, where made from real fruit that morning, buttermilk, and other ingredients). I sadly did not get the muffin because it had buttermilk and i am a vegan, but the person having dinner with me ordered one and she said it was excellent. I merely ordered a banana because i was not that hungry and they apparently do not have oatmeal past 10 am. The waitress was kind and even offered to cut it up for me. I told her no thank you, and she brought me a banana and some water. So i strongly recommend this cracker barrel or any cracker barrel due to my good experience. I did not eat much due to my being a vegan, but the pancakes, biscuits, and muffins are actually made from scratch just as they advertise. The service is good at almost every cracker barrel i have ever been to, and it is a good environment even if you just want to sit, eat, and talk. So from the extreme health conscious like me, to the person who is just craving a homemade meal, i think this restaurant isn't half bad.
