FAILED in CUSTOMER SERVICE. Treat and serve your customers first . Not hurry back so you can stock up shelves. Today I went in and I had already put my grocery on the counter knowing that fact the close sign was not out yet. Cashier told me to go to another stand so I did then the 2nd cashier told me to go to 1st register. I told the lady Sylvia " No you will help me since I was already told to move "... Sylvia was then helpful . She was very nice .but I think the disconnect is from store managers and assistant. Managers should teach and coach CUSTOMER SERVICE FIRST and Stocked Shelves next. I was just accused of stealing apples when all I was doing was checking the fruit for bruises. Money is tight and I don't think I should have to pay for bruised fruit. I went thru the bag to check the fruit and then went to the produce scale which is broken. When I got to the register, there were 2 employees standing there and not ringing up my groceries. I said "Oh no, your not gonna ask me to switch lanes are you?" I had a lot of groceries.( just got paid). One of the employees proceeded to tell me that the bag of apples I was trying to buy was altered, that the bag of apples is sold by weight in a pre labeled bag and that I cannot put more fruit in it. He said that if the bag was over weight that I would have to pay for 2 bags. when I was checking the bag for bruises, I did switch out some apples for ones from another bag. Took the bag to the scale and the scale was BROKEN.) I told the employee that I was not going to pay for bruised fruit. He then went on to say, " I saw you in the camera" So then I asked well then why didn't you come out to help me? They basically accused me of stealing apples! Then they proceeded to go thru the bag on the scale, and took out 1 apple, ( underweight bag) then put the apple back in the bag which brought it up to 1/4 pound over. He then turned to me and said look you get to keep free food. I WAS GOBSMACKED! That employee held up the line, made a scene and totally tried to put me on blast for no good reason in my opinion. If I could give less stars I would. The young men that work here are very rude! Treated my sister very bad. Me and my whole family will not be shopping here ever again because how rude they were. They told my sister she was stealing when she wasn't. She was actually just checking the bag of fruit to make sure there was no rotten apples in the bag.. when I called the manager, he just dismissed it like it was nothing. Me & my family work hard for our money, and don't want to spend it on rotten fruit. These people need to treat people better. read more

I would usually give you guys a 5 start but this evening was a bit different. When I go shopping all your employees are really nice, some are super quiet and that's totally fine at least they try and spark a conversation with me or vise versa. Well today the employee that helped me was neither nice or talkative. When it was time for me to pay she just stood there didn't say what my total was or anything. I paid and she just walked off without a thank you or you're welcome. I get it, sometimes it's tough working in customer service but it wasn't busy at all. And I understand every customer is different but a little hi how are you really does go a long way. I'm saying this as someone who's worked in customer service for many years. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, OVERPRICED, and lacking customer! I went to one store and the only had ONE PERSON MANNING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK. So when they went to lunch you were just out of luck. So I called another store and told them what happened and asked if I could return it there, they initially said yes.. When I got there however they refused to return my 3 items (which totaled 25) because the amount was too much and there store wouldn't receive the credit for it.......... YOU'RE APART OF THE SAME FUCKING CHAIN! Why does that matter?? I don't know but this was my first and last time shopping with them and I will never do it again.. Not worth the time or headache, you can get the same stuff from Walmart for half the price.. and less attitude, surprisingly.... read more

I have been shopping there for the past 10 years started as the Best Place to Shop in 2010 to be the one to avoid in 2020. A large beer truck is parking outside blocking couple main angles, and getting really difficult to see anyone coming. All the content of this beer truck was dropped in the alley near the wine area and I cannot access the wine...and nobody there to unload or do anything. Most aisles are empty of foods, fruits, meat, chicken, but plenty of toilets paper water bottle and what ever they have is over price. Toilets/Restrooms are not available to customers, unlike Safeway and Trader Joe. When checking out...no empty wine box available...staff just put them in plastic bag and couple weeks ago, some broke. They said wine box are full of trash and brought a little carton...purpose of wine box is to secure the bottle and won't brake while driving. Staff is good but management should be definitely removed. You need to have a system on place, clear all area so people can walk around, put 10 wine box in the morning, double check in afternoon and restock it. You should definitely bring more food...aisles are mostly empty on a Friday at 11.00 AM. I will be avoiding this Sh...hole and going to Marina. Always remember that we (customers) are your bread and butter...you need a good leadership and owner should check it out. I will stay away from this specific store. read more

What can I say, the economy hit us pretty hard and I am PO' yall. no seriously though, I was introduced to Grocery outlet while undergoing survival training in the wild area known as Stockton, CA. I came in here expecting another rundown store but was pleasantly surprised to find that most of their stock was actually decent and not about to expire 7 days ago. TO put in bluntly, if you're looking for a great alternative to the marked up prices that you find pretty much anywhere else, this is the place to go. they have a little bit of everything and best of all, at affordable prices for us po' folk. The only bad thing about this place and the reason I don't give it a 5 star review is that they don't carry many certified organic products ( but they do carry some) and that their prices make it very hard for me to leave the store once I'm in. once I make it big, I'm still bringing my behind here to stock up on cheaply priced deliciousness. oh and the staff here are always keeping the place clean and are very helpful. oh and not to mention that they actually have a decent produce selection. so, to recap, If you are poor - come here if you like cheaper prices - come here oh and I didn't even mention the fact that they also sell alcohol for those of us borderline alcoholics. ... mmmmhmmm beer. read more

I love this store. You can find so many things here that are so expensive elsewhere. I love that it's like the Ross of grocery stores. It makes it fun to shop. They have their Staples, but generally they get new stuff all the time. The employees are nice. Sometimes the lines get long, but I feel like the employees try to grt people out the door asap. Love it here. This is my new favorite supermarket. They have super great prices, everything is pretty easy to find and the staff there are just amazing. Super friendly and will even help you take your bags outside. Or well...at least offer too. I've never been happier with a supermarket. I save so much money shopping here seriously! I can buy almost anything I need from here for cheap. If you have kids this place is awesome because you can buy a crap ton of snacks and won't get ripped off. They offer a pretty good organic section and the produce isn't half bad. I have found some off brand products they sell to be even better then well know brands and there are a lot of stuff in this store you can't find in other stores very often which is cool. The meat department is tiny but when you are pinching pennies you make it work! Probably worth 3.5 stars. Place could be cleaner. They often have good deals. Unfortunately they don't always have the same products so you can count on getting the same deal next time you go. They do a lot of buy-outs and soon to expire items. Be careful and always check the expiration dates. Sometimes it's good. If you plan to use it right away you can get like $4 OJ for $.50. Went on a Sunday mid-Morning and found parking right up front and it wasn't crowded at all. Found a huge selection of organic food and "health food" that I usually have to go to a specialty store to find. Since it's close outs etc you can't always find everything on your list but with the low prices a second stop to pick up anything that you couldn't find on the list is not such a big deal. read more
