    Ruben sandwich done right!

I like Groucho's Deli because the sandwiches are fresh and generous, the salad choices are many, and the service is always cheerful. This is my third time in, and these attributes seem consistently good. It's a casual and comfortable place, good for a quick stop and good for a long chat over lunch with friends. Go!

Great service and great location. Great hidden gem. Tasty sandwich. Easy in and out. If you're in Summerville then give it a quick go.

First time trying. Ordered a Jr Apollo. Thinly sliced ham and turkey was delicious with cheese melted on top. Bread seemed a little chewy. I would have preferred a bit toasted. Their Formula 45 sauce has a unique flavor that enhances the flavor of the meats. I ordered mine to go and the service was fast and friendly

Walked in and sat at their bar counter. Gives me old school diner vibes. Was greeted right away with friendly staff. Sandwich options were unique and came out fairly quick. My husbands sandwich was completely falling apart and very difficult to eat and the bottom was soaked from the slaw juice, what we did eat of it was pretty good. Mine was pretty dry and bread wasn't toasted, so for me personally is not my favorite when it comes to sandwiches. It was overall very average for such an old and famous sandwich shop nearby.

The space was larger than I thought and the service was good. We went I. A school fundraiser night and it was busy!!! The sandwiches were good but I was surprised there weren't very many toppings to offer, so we got the sandwiches pretty plain. The sauces were good though so I'd recommend that.

I love how busy such a small business was! It was hard to find a table but once we sat, the waitress was attentive, quick, and so friendly. She was so familiar with all her regulars and was willing to hold conversation which is hard to find in todays world. The amazing sandwiches was just a bonus to the great atmosphere.

Groucho's is a gem! Warm and friendly atmosphere for a chill evening or whatever floats your boat! My husband and I shared a Reuben Variation and My Wife's Salad! Perfect, light and fulfilling selection. A must try!

And I'm happy to report that it exceeded my expectations! The slice of pie was HUGE (very tall) and it had some kind of a sauce/cheese combo on top of the tomatoes that was fantastic. Combined with the pie crust, it reminded me of a slice of Chicago deep dish pizza! My husband and I also shared the following: cinnamon rolls, salted caramel brownie and a white chocolate raspberry bread pudding muffin. All were huge, rich in flavor and very satisfying. I already can't wait to come back again! :)

Because if I need it and it's not there I'll come find you. :) The filling was the best filling I've ever had. The baked portion, too. And I grew up enjoying the bakeries of NYC and the area. What made it so good? It was not a disgustingly sweet, gelatinous blob. It had what I could only call a "natural" style filling. Not gelatinous. Not super sweet. One bite and you'll know that this is the way it's really supposed to be. It will ruin your enjoyment of all other blueberry danishes. Like I said, don't order one. :) Bon appétit.

Was very excited to see this location while I was traveling and my daughter, mom, and I stopped to eat. The New Yorker was good. My daughter liked the club, but I have to say I was so disappointed in the spud. The fact it's 15 dollars and barely has any toppings on it was a huge disappointment. And even with adding butter and sour cream, it was so dry and flavorless. The tea was amazing as always, and the new pineapple inside down lemonade and cheesecake was good. But highly disappointed in the spud, which is traditionally my favorite thing to get.

The staff was friendly and attentive so no mistakes with our order. I had the Savannah Chopped Salad. This was very fresh! Lots of greens, goat cheese, cranberries, grilled chicken and pecans with a sherry shallot vinegarette dressing. The portion was huge! It was delicious. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. Once you order a server delivered food to your table. The manager checked on us twice to refill drinks and check that the food was tasting good. There are plenty of fresh artisan sandwiches, soups, sides and salads. Something for everyone. You definitely want to have their sweet tea. They offer a tea club card that gives free tea after you purchase so many teas. I recommend giving McAllister's a try. Great and fresh food. Good service and a clean restaurant that is well maintained.
