Grilled cheese and tomato soup is good. Coffee is good. Environment is nice and relaxing.

I was running errands around Passyunk and wanted to take a coffee break. I walked into Ground Up and was pleasantly surprised it was fairly spacious inside. I only ordered iced decaf Americano, but saw that they had some breakfast menu. I would like to try their breakfast menu next time. Iced Americano was made well, and the service was good. I saw many neighbourhood people were coming in and seemed like the workers knew enough of their customers.

I had high hopes for this place because of how cute the outside is. The coffee was subpar because my hot dirty chai and iced mocha just tasted like espresso. I was hoping for some spiced flavor. The long sandwiches were kind of mid and bland. I had to drench my sandwich in hot sauce for some flavor. Compared to all the cafes in Philly, I just know there's a few with better coffee and sandwiches. Also, there were a lot of flies in the seating area, although it was inside and in the back. I did like how each table had a cup of cute questions to ask your companions.

I was so impressed with this establishment today. I think the name of the shop is misleading since it is so much more than just a coffee shop. While they do serve Elixir coffee and other drinks, they have a full food menu unlike most other "coffee shops." They have sandwiches and granola and a variety of pastries. As someone who always is on the hunt for the perfect egg and cheese, I was so excited to try one where the egg was fried (not baked) and the cheese was perfectly melted on top. This seems like the perfect neighborhood spot and they offer takeout as well. Service was timely and they have books for adults/kids to occupy you while you wait (such a clever idea!)

Decided to pop in today after an early appointment and could not be more satisfied. The place is very cute and cozy, definitely seems to be a neighborhood staple. The service was great and super quick. I unfortunately only had enough time to order a bacon, egg, and cheese but it was delicious. Will definitely be coming back to try more items!

Consistently the best breakfast sandwich in the neighborhood!! I love ordering from here. The seasonal drink options are also always great and fun to try! Today they drew a little snowman on my bag. So cute!!

A cute coffee shop with a cozy vibe in my neighborhood. I love the music playlist. All the staff are friendly and sweet. The coffee is delicious, and the parfait is yummy. It's my new spot to get my work done

After having the worst customer service experience at Philly bagels up the street, I searched for another affordable and yummy looking bfast spot. AND I FOUND IT! The atmosphere was so nice, I was greeted upon arrival, the prices online matched the store, and the food was DELISHHH. Highly recommend if in the area. I had the lox bagel, iced coffee and pumpkin bread

They gave me hard time bc I asked for extra sugar. PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT VISITING THIS SHOP IF YOU ARE BLACK!

Horrible customer service. I work nearby and visited this shop twice. Both times greeted by Elizabeth, who greets me with no smile, very dismissive. They gave me hard time bc I asked for extra sugar because you can not modify your drink. "We don't add sugar, because it's sweet enough already. So we just have you guys ask for it on the side" It's my preference so it shouldn't matter if I'm willing to pay. The second time I came will be the last, walked to be greeted by Elizabeth with a straight face, I asked for liquid sugar, she respond "what?" I repeated "May I have a little more extra sugar added?" Elizabeth handed me the bottle and walked away. Horrible service she's lucky I didn't return the energy. Never returning again. PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT VISITING THIS SHOP IF YOU ARE BLACK!

Absolutely loved this little cafe. The ambiance is very homey! Seems like a place I'd enjoy studying or working remotely from. I ordered a coffee, a croissant with ham, cheese, and egg as well as some pastries. Everything was enjoyable and fresh. The service was quick and kind! Would return any day!

Maybe they were out of the correct bread but this flimsy white bread did not suit the sandwich well. I would maybe try again because the ingredients tasted good but I couldn't eat this caprese sandwich today :( too mushy

The ham and cheese croissant was delicious! Latte was too! We are out of towners, so this was a treat indeed.

Eh. I tried again and again to love the food, but it's mediocre at best. Same goes for the coffee. Meh.

Fast forward 12 years, and now its Antonio's Deli...let me tell you something......still AMAZING! My Brother and I came here for a breakfast hoagie. We got an Olde Italian to split since we were going to Reading Terminal Market right after. How was the hoagie? Delicious! The Olde Italian comes on the best bread in the land IMO (Sarcones...seeded roll...you just cant beat it!). So crusty and great texture. This sandwich had all the goodies on it including proscuitto, capicola and sopressata. They use a crumbled sharp provolone cheese here (think blue cheese crumbles, but sharp provolone!) that is so freaking good! The veggies include roasted red peppers, lettuce tomato and onion. They top it with some olive oil and seasonings. Hoagie perfection! This was my favorite sandwich that I ate in Philadelphia and my favorite sandwich on my 1 week trip back East! I LOVED IT. If you are in Philadelphia and want the best hoagie around, come here! I can't wait to go back to Philadelphia one of these years and try out some more of their sandwiches. Just perfect! Thanks, Antonio's!

They serve you fresh waster (Drinks to order include Hanks, Boylan's, Harney and Sons, Teas etc.) and will serve you at the table or you can walk up and order at the counter. Their menu has a great mix of deli, steak, "chicken" steak, meatball, sausage and cutlet sandwiches with interesting flavor combos. You can also get breakfast (till 11AM) or a salad. They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!
