The owner of this store is a gem. We connected over his Ethiopian heritage. He was so open and warm. The coffee and chai tea were amazing, but I came back for him. He's done an amazing job creating a space that is modern and welcoming. It needs to be bigger because every time I've been there it's filled with people. Don't stop with the coffee. Make sure you try the food. I've tried a few pastries. My son had a burrito. It was all fantastic. What a joy! read more

Revocup is the true definition of a third space and I love it so much. I have been going there consistently for about a year now, and everyone there (baristas, the owner, and the other customers) are so friendly and welcoming. Anytime I go I not only get an amazing cup of coffee, I also get a peaceful place that is great for studying, making a new friend, or playing a game of cards with a friend. My favorite orders are the Zebra Mocha, an iced americano, chocolate croissant, and a classic cappucino, they do all of those great! Could not recommend this place more! read more

Located at the intersection of 135th St in a very safe yet easy to miss mini-strip mall, Revocup is a high level coffee experience! First of all, be sure not to blink because the sign isn't very visable and the location is unassuming from the outside, abeit a very clean exterior. Walking in, I love the vibe, trendy but not pretentious, grounded yet modern and a fair amount of people but not overflowing. Yessiree Bob, this is my kind of place. Oh and the baristas are patient, kind and willing to offer advice based on your individual tastes. I've been here several times; however, my eating habits preclude me from indulging in anything outside of berries. Do the apple fritters, donuts, muffins and other items look outstanding, of course they do. In fact, my buddy whom I generally meet there has raved how good the pastries are and after living in Austin and trying home made poptarts, I'm still kicking myself for not trying them. However, the path to maintaining a healthy weight and figure is paved in discipline. I must admit they nailed the ambiance. The cement floors are patterned with what looks like dark wood textured tiles and the walls are a warm burgundy, emitting a certain visual warmth. The hanging art amuses me, sometimes it's movie paintings, sometimes its modern art while other times it's eclectic and I've never figured out their rotation, but I appreciate it. The hanging lamps offer a bit of 2010 mod while the open coffee service area proudly displays all of the tools of an expert craftsman. The counter area has a small display case enticing the sweet tooth and the chalk boards give a simplistic view of their menu, but they also offer daily "experiments" that are fun to sample. The first time I came, I tried the Café Au Lait which was very strong, robust and full of lasting flavor. The 12oz amount seemed to be about perfect for my needs. The next time I dropped by I sampled the Dulce de Leche which was a mistake. Why, you might be wondering? Because I've never ordered anything else since then and I always get the 16oz. It's smooth, a little softer on the coffee flavor while balancing it with the strong caramel notes. I know it's probably got more calories than I want, but hey, that's why I'm not eating! They also have some pretty good selection of home ground coffees from places like Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Brazil and other far, far away locations. Come to think of it I don't recall if they have any Hawaiian beans which are pretty trendy now (Kona is a great coffee!!) Oh I forgot to mention they do have a fast wifi but please for the love of God, don't be that geek in the corner pretending to write the great American novel in the corner. That's so.... 2000s.... Overall, this is my favorite coffee shop in Overland Park and it's not even close. Stop on by for the best coffee experience you'll have in the area! read more

I rarely am in this part of Johnson County, so when I saw that a Revocup was in the vicinity, I made a pitstop since I love the Revocup in downtown KCMO. This location is not as quirky and eclectic, but certainly blends in well with the cookie cutter stripmall life of upscale suburbia. The thing that i love about this small chain - 4 in KC metro and 1 in St. Louis - is the focus on Ethiopian beans. The founders are from there and provide a lot of philanthropic effort into giving back to that region. With the coffee culture originating from there, it just seems like the right kind of coffee business to support. I always get their specialty - the Ethiopian Macchiato. With such a bold flavor, frothed milk and touch of amaretto - it's my all-time favorite coffee beverage. The space has plenty of table space, the obligatory food and dessert options, local art for sale, and a barista that was courteous and knew her craft. I hope to visit their other 2 locations in JOCO someday soon. read more

Revocup is a great little coffee shop in my area! Admittedly, its location doesn't scream coffee shop, but I appreciate how close it is to home. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means but I do really enjoy Revocup's coffee! I'm a latte girl and am never disappointed. Revocup also has plenty of appetizing pastries that constantly tempt me. One of these days I'll give them a try! The staff is kind and service is prompt. They do have a rewards system -- buy 10 drinks get 1 free, I believe. Big fan of that! Plenty of seating and plenty of outlets for those who need to plug in. I will say that when the coffee shop is busy, it can get pretty loud. I'd recommend noise cancelling headphones for those who need to focus. It can also get pretty warm in there in the afternoon when the sun comes in through the windows - so dress accordingly. read more

Went here on a weekday morning. It wasn't terribly packed, but it did take a pretty long time to get the order. I wasn't in love with the flavored latte I got, but my fiance enjoyed his plain latte. He said the place was very good. He is more of a coffee drinker than I am, I prefer to mask the taste. So I will say the coffee is probably pretty good here. Revocup is located right on the edge of Overland Park, deep in suburbia. I actually grew up really close to this spot, and as I pulled into the parking lot I was flooded with memories of highschool and businesses that have come and gone from this area. That being said, I wasn't sure what to expect. This part of OP has stayed somewhat stagnant over the years, and there have been few local places that have thrived so I was excited to give this one a try. I'm pleased to report that Revocup is really a great little local spot in OP. There is ample parking, and on the afternoon I stopped in to get some work done it was fairly busy for a weekday. It has the vibe of a coffee shop ca. the early aughts. Brooding colors, quirky coffee shop font, basic tables and chairs. They had good wifi, and friendly service. I only had an iced tea so I'll need to return to report on the coffee, but overall nothing stood out to me to merit a drive specifically back here, but if I still lived nearby this would be in the usual rotation. read more

As a long-term coffee nut, having lived in Seattle for years, there different ways to review a coffee shop. You can just judge it for their coffee or you can judge for it's vibe and service etc. For me a quality of the coffee shop falls under a Venn-like diagram (you know that diagram with three circles). One of the circles is the quality of the product, the second is the service and vibe and the third is price. Most places cover one of the circles, but lack the other two, some cover two but very few have covered all three. As for the quality of the coffee. I am not as big of a fan of light roast, as I learned to love espresso in Italy, but their Ethiopian blend is becoming an obsession. Fragrant, with a hint of sweetness and incredibly smooth without being boring, it is one of the best coffees in KC, if you prefer your coffee black like me. However, in my mind, their secret weapon is their Biscotti (not sure who makes it), which is a bit of a misnomer. When most people think of a biscotti, they think of a twice baked sweet bread that is crumbly and hard. This biscotti, which is the size of a scone, is very cake like, the chocolate one tastes like the top of a brownie and the vanilla one has a hint of tea flavor to it. The prices are also great. Coffee houses are starting to charge nearly $4 for a 12 oz cup of coffee as they have been going up over time. I feel things are going a little out of control. A 16 oz goes for just $3. Both my coffee and Biscotti went for $7 with tax and tip. Finally, I've been finding that most popular coffee places are treating their customer interactions like an assembly line with quick service and accurate orders but with little personality. Even worse, I am finding that many people in the service industry are becoming less interested in their customers than chatting/interacting amongst themselves. I noticed this one night at a taco restaurant that I won't mention. A customer who needed help was getting angry as the service staff were chatting in the kitchen (which was next to the bar where I was seated) for 10 minutes before even coming out to see if people needed help. The people at Revocup (and I experienced this at two of their locations), not only serve with a smile and with some banter, but for many of the customers, they knew their names. This tells me that they get a lot of repeat business. And while I like to be left alone to do some work, even I took about 10 minutes with the owner who told me a story about his marriage and children. And for the year or so I've been going there, their crew have not changed much, which gives the workers time to get to know their customers. This type of interaction used to be the norm, and with some businesses, it still is, but it is becoming harder and harder to find unless you visit them on a regular basis. There maybe places that do coffee slightly better, have better food, or be cooler to hang out at, but for me, there is only coffee shop (so far) that gets a five star rating for having it all. read more

Plenty of options and selection combined with plenty of seating and a friendly staff. I stopped here with my regular coffee group to try it out. The look and feel of the place mimics most coffee places, and my expectations were set accordingly. One think I use to gauge a good coffee shop is whether or not they have heavy cream. They did not. But they have quite a few sugar free flavor options, which is a very welcome feature :-) The coffees were made quickly and were all very tasty. The atmosphere was quiet enough for us to have a nice conversation. I wish there had been some comfier chairs for us, but it all worked out :-) The staff was chipper, and we felt welcome and unhurried for our little coffee clutch meeting. Overall, the only complaint I have is that there wasn't any heavy cream. :-) read more

First off, this place locally roasts providing a unique experience from their high quality black coffee all the way to the lattes. I love exploring new coffee shops and to me, finding new beans/roasters to try is exciting vs a new shop that uses the same old beans that everyone uses. Boring! Secondly, they strive to make homemade goodies like scones which are delightful, to fresh homemade syrups. They offer a large variety of alternative milks, and sugar free syrups you hardly ever see elsewhere! Also worth a mention their foundation, which you can learn about from the baristas, donates money directly back to the actual coffee farmers and not some middle man. Always a clean appearance and a cosy atmosphere. Ultimately the unique espresso flavor is what brings me back! read more

As I continue to test out all the coffee spots within a 30 min radius of me, I was plenty surprised to see revocup south be 8-10 min away. I decided to check it out and see what they got. After going over the menu, I decided to go for my usual, iced latte with a flavoring. The latter was solid. hit all the right flavor notes without being too sweet or not sweet enough. The caramel flavoring was not great. seems like they used a standard caramel flavoring that other coffee shops use. I did not find anything to eat that I would be interested in so it was kind of a bummer. Lastly, and I know I am being critical, the atmosphere was kind of bleh overall. With so many coffee spots investing in the look and feel of their place to validate the high price point for the coffee, I was kind of bummed to spend almost $6 for a coffee at a pretty boring spot. To me personally, the art was of poor quality and overall set up made it feel like they could have done more. With all that said, my drink was good and thats what matters. I might try out the revocup in lenexa next time to see its aesthetic. 4 out of 5 for the friendly service and good iced latte. hope this review helps read more

Friendly and a neighborhood joint. But please be careful and mindful of yourself and others, as covid social distancing is not upheld. Came in on a Saturday late morning to a pretty packed house. Every table was occupied, with some customers standing. I don't recall tables being cleaned in between customers, but the front desk does not allow for customers to touch their touch pads, and they're serving most of their drinks in disposable cups. Opted to try their winter spice latte with oat milk. It was lovely. Very very slightly sweet, with light flavorings of nutmeg and cinnamon. I drank my drink fairly quickly, it was getting to be too busy for me during covid for me to feel safe inside. read more

Not a bad coffee shop for this part of Overland Park-Olathe KS. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito and pastry. In fact, I thought their pastries were unique. The one scone I had was a mango-ginger scone and it has nice little pieces of dried sweet mango to enjoy. The best part was the coffee, however, because I recognized it as being the same coffee from Ahadu coffee near my neck of the woods, out in Lee's Summit. The beans are the same, so they have good strong coffee. The only drawback I saw was that I didn't see many places to sit with a nearby outlet if and when your laptop power runs out. read more

Been frequenting this stop a bit recently. I've been a fan of other locations, but lately this stop has been my go-to when visiting family (I get to support local instead of stopping by a chain)! Lately the seasonal drinks have been incredible! The November seasonal was an azucar latte (cinnamon and brown sugar) -- so simple but honestly one of the best I've had in awhile. Currently (December) they have a winter spice latte that features a house made syrup with cinnamon and winter spices. While I got it iced, I imagine it would make for the coziest drink hot. So glad this location is still hear - it's a bit tricky to get to / you have to go out of the way. However, it's well worth a stop for a drink while grocery shopping, to catch up with friends, or get a bit of work done. read more

I love a good local coffee shop. Revocup South did no disappoint. I stopped in on Friday mid-afternoon with my family. We ordered a variety of blended espresso-based drinks. The prices were fair and the service was friendly. They have a great atmosphere, and while we didn't stay and drink our coffee in-house, quite a few locals were nestled into the comfortable and plentiful seating. For the laid-back atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious coffee drinks, I would choose this spot over Starbucks in a heartbeat. Come check out Revocup South! read more

Really good coffee and friendly staff at Revocup South. And when they say south, they aren't messing around! This is, for me, way out south and west, but a nice coffee shop for the locals who live in the area. The Ethiopian coffee here is where it's at based on my limited time in. I was here as part of the Caffeine Crawl and that Ethiopian was memorable. I really enjoyed talking with the passionate crew. I did notice a drive-thru chain coffee shop right by it, so it's a bold move to open right by that, but I love that. It's cool to see good coffee all over the city, and not just in the Crossroads or midtown areas. read more
