GFD is the best. Coffee, smoothies, breakfast, pastries, lunch. It doesn't matter what you come in for, you're going to leave there with only the top quality of food & beverages. I drive from Lone Tree to GFD 2-3 times a week because there's no better coffee/cafe atmosphere in Denver. I've had just about everything on the menu & every time I leave full, very happy, & very satisfied. And while Melissa B might think differently, the Avocado toast at GFD is the BOMB.COM. My other personal favorite are the breakfast tacos. Be sure to give the owners Carissa & Korah some love. I don't think I need to say much more, but rather you want a chorizo breakfast taco or grilled cheese "Brunchified" by adding fried egg and avocado, the food will not disappoint. I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's right near my work so I try to go here at least once a week. My favorite is the raspberry iced tea, but there's so much on the menu I haven't tried yet! Got a slice of blueberry lemon bread today and literally said "oh my god" out loud to myself as soon as I took a bite. Delicioussss. Was super excited to try this place after seeing a video on tiktok. Although it was a far drive, I love nothing more than supporting small woman owned businesses. Sad to say it was by far one of the worse experiences I have had at a small business. We ordered the seasonal coffee flights even though they were above $30 but upon receiving our orders we realized that the flights were disgustingly sweet. We are not ones to complain but the drinks were so sweet that we could not take another sip. We went up to the counter to see if maybe we could even out the sweetness of the drink with either more coffee or cream but were disappointed by the service. The person at the register said "well those drinks are for Starbucks drinkers" to begin with what does that mean? I go to Starbucks regularly but have never received a drink that was ¾ sugar instead of coffee. I went back and looked at the comment and they mentioned the white girls who drink Starbucks does this mean because I am not white that I am not allowed to order these drinks?  The owner also mentioned that we could've ordered the drinks less sweet, being that it was our first time at this location we would have never known that the drinks were going to be that sweet. Nowhere on the menu did I see any language to indicate that these drinks are filled with lots of sugar. But instead of helping address our concerns the employees just blamed us for not knowing their products. The customer service was extremely disappointing considering that this was a small business where I would expect better service. If I was at Starbucks the employees would not hesitate in accommodating the request of a customer. Overall super disappointment with the lack of responsibility of the owners and the employees. Would not recommend this place at all, save your money and spend it at other shops that deserve. I posted this review on google and the OWNER said go back to Starbucks what great services from the OWNER. They need to learn how to respond to customer reviews without acting like a child! read more

The food and drinks are SO good here, that I'm currently eating it right now in this awesome shop (with an even more awesome ambiance and music playlist). The food is sooo fresh and delicious. I ordered the "Good morning" griller which is a grilled cheese with two sunnyside eggs within - and a tropical twist smoothie to chase it down!! However, it isn't just the food that makes this cafe an easy 5 stars, it's Korissa and Kora (the two owners) that radiate the customer satisfaction experience! They're both extraordinarily positive and lovely to chat with! I start my mornings off here knowing that the rest of my day will be showered with positivity throughout! If I can give this review more than 5 stars, I wouldn't hesitate at all! AGAIN, to get the full 5+ star experience, hang out here at the shop with your food served FRESH and the ambiance just soothing your mind to complete nirvana! I'm a customer for life! read more

If you are looking to try a coffee flight, I do not recommend Grounds for Dismissal. Location is questionable and frankly just weird. We walked in to order and were sent away to sit down and order from our cell phones while the worker stood behind the cash register and waited for us. There were also very few options for flights and we did not have the choice of picking which drinks we wanted to try. The flight we got had chocolate covered strawberry mocha, nutella, smores, and almond bliss with chocolate foam. The nutella and smores were both decent drinks with good balance of coffee and flavor. However, the almond bliss tastes like pure almond extract and battery acid. It was simply undrinkable and ruined my pallette. I was also not given any water or side beverage to cleanse my pallete between drinks which is the whole point of a flight (to taste different kinds of coffee). Also overpriced. Will probably not be coming back. read more

I came in for my birthday to try the coffee flights with my family and I immediately was given attitude by the guy with a beard and tattoos. He was so rude and acted like we were bothering him with our presence. We couldn't read the menu on the chalk board so we stepped forward to see and the guy angrily gave us a menu. After we'd looked he said it'd be a 20 minute wait which we were totally fine with. We sat outside until my phone got the text they were ready for us. We came inside and the guy looked so bothered by our presence when we were trying to order. Then my mom ordered her tea and the guy was rolling his eyes and huffing and puffing and acting as though we were such a nuisance to him. Our food came out it was cold the lady with the long ponytail was so rude when giving us our food she and the guy have the worst customer service I've ever encountered. In all honesty, the location of this coffee shop is a little off-putting as it's on the ground level of an office building. We were in town visiting, but had lived in the area for years. This shop had great reviews so it was only fitting to check it out. We were also visiting near the beginning of the Coronavirus which I think was starting to put a damper on business at the time. Regardless, we came in for coffee and a baked treat, but all the treats were sold out minus a plate of brownies. Considering it was still morning, we didn't feel like indulging in a brownie for breakfast. We ended up just ordering coffee, but both were flavored pretty decently. My wife ordered the Almond Bliss and the almond flavoring definitely shined through with strength, but she really enjoyed it. As for me, I'm boring and just went with a vanilla latte which was good. We should have ordered breakfast as their food looks and sounds delicious, but we did not...maybe next time. Also, the staff was very friendly which is always appreciated. read more

This is the best little coffee shop around. The owners are passionate, creative, and care deeply about what they do and their customers. I have coming to this place since 2020 and am dumbfounded by some of the poor reviews on here. It is very clear some customers are very impatient, entitled, and incompetent when it comes to how small businesses operate. This place has been primarily run by the lovely two ladies for years and because it is growing they are working hard to also expand their employee team. Just like everything in life (if you're not entitled) this takes time. Not everything is instant and the quality that they sling out of the kitchen and behind the counter is unbeatable by other local companies. If you want trashy instant food full of preservatives and coffee with a billion pumps of sugar, go to Starbucks or Duncan Donuts. If you want quality, go here but be aware that sometimes places do get busy and you will have to wait. If you don't have time, no problem, go elsewhere. To all those who left bad reviews, please be aware that people spend an extreme amount of time, energy, and money to have an operating small business. To try to bash and tear down a company because you're upset over something you didn't address at the store could really hurt them. Imagine if every time you made a mistake in life somebody wrote a review about you on the internet instead of addressing you directly.
