My family has stayed at The Grove on two separate occasions. The house and bungalows were always clean and well maintained and the yard and beach were beautiful. The property can handle very large groups comfortably. What a beautiful place! We can't wait to go back. read more

We rented The Grove for our daughter's wedding. We had many people attending from up North and of course the beauty of the pass and The Grove awed us all. It is a perfect venue for a wedding and the space is enough for large groups to spread out with options for ceremonies and receptions. I would love to give a 5 star rating but it needs to be cleaned better, pest control kept up and drainage in the bungalow addressed. Also, a large group, after a big venue, having to be out by 10am is a little excessive. having at least to 11 or 12 would have been nice. All that said.....the private beach, lodging/entertainment options and Grove grounds are fantastic. We love the history of the house and understand maintenance needs on historic homes...just needs to be all addressed. We would rent it again. read more

It is a unique place with great location. But, it is dirty, with filthy dirt and hair clinging to the cold air ducts, broken screens hanging torn and appliances that don't work.. The air conditioning was broken in some of the bedrooms and some of the lighting was broken. It was hard to grill out in the dark. We felt that we were owed money because of these problems, but they don't care! So if you aren't bothered by these problems, go ahead and rent. My recommendation would be look elsewhere! You deserve better accommodations - we certainly did! It is hard to pay what we did and have just one week a year with family and find and put up with so many irritations!!! These people are falsely advertising this house. They should have been willing to give us a reasonable amount of money for all their deception. We will not stop warning people as renters deserve so much more honesty to begin with!!!! Shame on You! read more

Words can't describe the beauty of this home, property, and the decor. It is everything I love. With a large group the property is everything you could ask for. We had a large crowd so the "older" adults stayed in the Main house and the "younger" adults and their children stayed in the upper and lower bungalow. They enjoyed the pool and playing pool in the game/pool house. The older ones laid on the beach fishing mainly. Air conditioning was ice cold, which is not common in most beach houses we have stayed in. Homeowners was exceptional in helping with anything we needed. We was not aware "my fault" for not reading all the house rules until the day after we arrived that we needed to take the garbage cans out, so that made an issue we had no where to put our garbage for 7 days but the home owner had someone come and grab some of the garbage half way through the week from us, and worked out arrangements where we could store the rest until the next garbage pickup. Beds was super comfy. Home was very clean. Porches was great and screened in, " but bring bug spray" it's Florida they find their way in! The beach access is directly across from the house, private and beautiful. We rented a golf cart which made it super nice. We was able to renew our wedding vows on this trip (25 years) and I couldn't of dreamed of a more fitting and beautiful place. The private dock overlooking the bay was also gorgeous. We did see a gator and a snake, plenty of lizards, frogs, and turtles! If you are having any doubt on renting this property, don't hesitate it's PERFECT! read more
