Instead of buying Girl Scout cookies, we bought these!

What do you expect when you come across a highway roadside shack, offering food..? Are you intrigued? How hungry are you? " Stop, there's cars in the parking lot! let's try it!" Yes, yes. This divey tavern/ restaurant/meeting hall is well worth the stop and a few miles out of the way, if you're in the area. Beth, the owner and chef makes a mean, meean burger and a bevy of other grill items. She offers a broasted chicken platter that rivals any that I've seen and tasted. There's a lot of love put in every dish. If you find yourself in this remote part of Northeastern Wisconsin, stop in and say hi. Grab a brew. EAT THE GRUDGEVILLE BURGER! And, most importantly, ask about Mitzty!

Two piece haddock with twice baked potato and coleslaw

Decided to try someplace new on our way uppa nort'. We weren't disappointed. This is a straight up dive bar with great staff and some great food. Started off with some half naked cheese curfs from trivers. Mmmmm yummy. For dinner my wife had the two piece haddock with a twice baked potato and Cole slaw. Great breading on the fish and cooked perfectly. I had a 1/3lb Grudge burger. Delicious with a nice layer of grease running down my arm. Definately adding this to our list of joints to hit when we head up.

My daughter and I stopped for burgers while on vacation. They had amazing bacon cheese burgers in both 1/3 pound and 1/2 pound sizes and multiple choices of cheese. I enjoyed three pints of beer on tap. The first was Grainbelt Nordeast Amber, then I had Finnegan's Amber and finally Stone Arch Vanishing Vanilla Stout. All three brews were outstanding but the stone arch was my favorite. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and shared stories about the local history and the origins of the pub. Great place great atmosphere great food!

Beth is fantastic. Really friendly and amazing burgers. Great place to stop. Just don't let the grunginess scare you away.

No kidding, don't let the gas station vibes throw you, this place has great eats. We walked in through the gas station part of the building and were surprised to see the rustic decor of a medium sized dining area and an adjacent bar. It was a pretty full dining room and we sat ourselves. It didn't look promising as we saw one waitress and one bartender. However, after a brief wait, the waitress came to our table and assured us she would return as quickly as possible to get our drink and food orders. She returned as promised. Our drinks arrived a short time later. They were well made and attention was paid to get us another round as we finished the first. Our table had ribs, prime rib and a French dip sandwich. The portion size was great and the food arrived hot. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was tasty. The prime rib had great flavor, was prepared as ordered and had very little fat. The French dip was also tasty. Truth be told, a salad bar would make this a true five star rating. The salads served with the meal were nice but very run-of-the-mill. Will we go back in the future? You betcha!
