It was pretty, but not exceptional. My wife had the onon soup. For main courses we had the beet and arugula salads, (the arugula with shrimp), the flounder and the crispy salads. The main reason I cam giving the restaurant 5* was the scallops. These were far from the typical fried scallops. They had a like panko coating, served with succotash, and were quite good, even by Cape Cod standards for scallops. The salads are both also very good. Service was attentive and not intrusive. It is a nice old house and has nice ambiance.

But when we looked at the bill, they added $4 per drink--one for ice, the other for neat! When we confronted the manager, he said this was industry practice as if any of us (all over 70) had never ordered a drink before. He eventually and grudgingly refunded the extra charges, but failed to acknowledge the dishonesty in pricing or apologize. So, they have lost this group of customers.

We go there every year,while on vacation.(5th. year).The meal and the service has always been outstanding and the prices are very reasonable,But something has happened to their COFFEE.We were served "hot water" as coffee.We had the waitress take it back,she got a "fresh" pot and it was still extremely weak.There is NO EXCUSE for a Breakfast place to serve BAD COFFEE.We will be back next year and hopefully it will have returned to it's old tasty flavor. read more

My favorite breakfast place on the Cape. They have a huge menu, and I have tried at least 80% if it. I am an omelette girl, though, so if I had to pick a favorite it would be their omelette with apples - it's fantastic! Coming in at a close second would be their Stuffed Berry French Toast. You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose, though; they do all things breakfast and they do it right. There's a reason for that line out the door. read more
