Ok - let's start with what this place *is not* -- this isn't a flashy trendy chain, this place isn't trying to gamify eating by offering gimmicks, this place is not going to change your life. The Station Cafe is a local staple that has built a beautiful reputation between two delicious slices of fluffy and structurally pleasant bread. I've only had a handful of their sandwiches (and some may say that a handful is enough) but I'm determined to make my way through their substantial menu. Each sandwich comes with a heaping helping of whatever it is that it's comprised of at a fair price. These aren't cheap discount sandos, you're going to pay for the quality here, and you should feel really good about that. Today I had the jalapeño turkey sandwich and I have no regrets. We found a nice spot close to the windows and I was able to look around at all the relics around and displayed at the front entrance. After we got our drinks, one of the owners or managers, walked around offering delicious slices of lemon frost cake. I was so appreciative that this just made our delicious coffee even better! I saw many students and other folks reading and studying while we were here. The atmosphere lends itself to do so too as it is chill, quiet, and quaint. I will definitely be back again.
