Ok - let's start with what this place *is not* -- this isn't a flashy trendy chain, this place isn't trying to gamify eating by offering gimmicks, this place is not going to change your life. The Station Cafe is a local staple that has built a beautiful reputation between two delicious slices of fluffy and structurally pleasant bread. I've only had a handful of their sandwiches (and some may say that a handful is enough) but I'm determined to make my way through their substantial menu. Each sandwich comes with a heaping helping of whatever it is that it's comprised of at a fair price. These aren't cheap discount sandos, you're going to pay for the quality here, and you should feel really good about that. Today I had the jalapeño turkey sandwich and I have no regrets. Can't wait to come back!

My mouth was literally watering during the entire drive just thinking about what I was going to order! When we arrived there was a line to the door and it was great to see business going strong. I decided to order something new and I'm so glad I did! There was ample seating available and the food came out quickly, even though the restaurant was buzzing and full of patrons dining in (always a great sign). I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich and the ingredients complimented each other perfectly. The bread was warm and tasted as if it was fresh out of the oven. I wanted to savor it, but honestly, that sandwich didn't stand a chance! It's now my new favorite sandwich on the menu-until next time!

Yelp steered me right and brought me here on a Thursday morning. Walking in I wasn't sure if this was only a coffee/tea spot or if they sold cocktails and beers too. The bar area and decor lends itself to look like an old bar and it has great vibes! No beer or cocktails here but they do have a seemingly delicious menu! We didn't eat anything while we were here because we had breakfast prior to coming in. The menu had an array of offerings and sandwiches that I could see myself coming back and trying in the future. I ordered a Mexican Mocha and my mom had a cold brew. Service was fast and friendly. We found a nice spot close to the windows and I was able to look around at all the relics around and displayed at the front entrance. After we got our drinks, one of the owners or managers, walked around offering delicious slices of lemon frost cake. I was so appreciative that this just made our delicious coffee even better! I saw many students and other folks reading and studying while we were here. The atmosphere lends itself to do so too as it is chill, quiet, and quaint. I will definitely be back again. This spot was super unique and I really love their smart branding and logos/brand identity.

Savory and sweet items on the menu to choose from. I had the Westside Barbacoa grilled cheese and tomato soup combo and Mexican mocha. I enjoyed my meal in a cozy, intimate booth where I relaxed and enjoyed a local jazz radio station while I ate. Lots of seating and plugs to hook up your electronics. The place gives you "mi casa es su casa" vibes. I will be back to try some pastries and specialty drinks. A pleasant surprise is they have a loyalty card. So after a few purchases you get 1 free! What an amazing meal!…read more My fiancé and I swung by for lunch on our way to the Witte and we're so glad that we did. The interior of this place was so unique, the staff were welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Naturally we had to sit in the upstairs dining area just for the novelty of it, and while we didn't have to wait too long for our meal, we had fun playing the trivia card game that was on each table. I ordered the Parmo Pollo Panini with Tomato Basil Soup. The chicken in the Panini was a little dry, but coupled with the Tomato Basil Soup I could hardly tell. While they were delicious together, both were just as tasty on their own. The Panini was a good hearty sandwich, and the Tomato Basil Soup was packed full with delicious spices. I ended up taking up half of both the Soup and Panini to go as the portions were so large. I'm glad we went at the start of lunch rush as it was packed by the time we left. I'd highly recommend W D if you're after a satisfying meal!

The reason I give it a 3 star vs. 4 ia because we were visiting for the first time and looked visibly lost and no one offered to help us or explained to us that we had to order at the counter. We sat at our table upstairs for a good 15 mins before realizing no waiters were coming.

We arrived around 5pm on a Thursday and got in queue which was out the door and wrapping around the front porch. Their host/doorman was kind, he offered the line water on many occasions and made pleasantries with almost all guests as the line moved. It was a hot day so those waters were clutch. By the time we made it to the front of order line maybe 40 minutes had passed. But ladies and gents the wait is worth it. When we plated our trays on the table my family all had heart eyes, and had equally loved our first bites. Their brisket is extremely tender. It's beautifully sliced and made for an amazing welcome back to the South taste for me. I was in heaven. I particularly enjoyed having the fresh pickled red onion for fresh, zesty cuts through the abundance of other saltier elements on the plate. Their menu is slammin! Their sides, and sausages all had crafty ingredients. I enjoyed their spicy link options and their macaroni was delightful. Their BBQ sauce was a nice 4/5 but certainly did the job. As a native Texan who's had their fair share, this was easily some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Top 5 top 5 top 5. I'm of course coming back and looking forward for more banana cream pudding especially. They were small, slightly sweet, and had great balance with the vanilla wafer ratio. That whip cream on top too had me hooked. I couldn't have asked for a better welcome back meal for the bold Texas cuisine, hospitality, and novelty animal and cowboy decor.
