I came here for lunch with some co workers, and it was pretty good! The potato salad was great, and the chicken was well cooked. There is outdoor seating, which is where we sat since there was 9 of us. But the weather was nice, outdoor seating is also covered. Good Customer service, and the prices were fair with the larger portions of food. If you're close b, Rusty Bucket is a nice family friendly place with good bbq.

Employee favorite combo!

If you haven't been then you are missing out!! Love this spot for a yummy bbq plate! Plate pictured is the Employee favorite and it is so good! Brisket and ribs, creamed corn and broccoli casserole! Delish!! I love their bbq sauces as well Spicy is my favorite, they also have sweet and regular. Pickles and onions are self serve. Must visit right down Cupples!

The Mac Attack (Combo) with Potato Salad

Rusty Bucket JawSmacking BBQ has a great, homey atmosphere with plenty of indoor seating and a few outdoor tables as well. Service was solid and I liked that they had a variety of BBQ sauces on the side: sweet, regular, and spicy. I ordered The Mac Attack sandwich with brisket and mac & cheese. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful, though the bun was a little dry, but the sauce helped balance it out. The brisket wasn't dry but could have been juicier. I tried the potato salad as my side and it was decent, just nothing standout. Overall, good food, welcoming vibes, and definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm in the area.

Cowboy bowl, brisket and Mac & cheese

We flew in this morning and I wanted some Texas BBQ! Rusty Bucket did not disappoint! Love the atmosphere, the service and the food! That brisket is delicious!!!! We will be back before we leave so I can try the ribs and pulled pork.

We did not like the macaroni.

Let me start off by saying this. When we walked in the door, we were hit with the most disgusting smell. Like garbage or wet mop. We debated leaving because it was so intense. It smelled great outside, I don't know if there was a dumpster or some smell wafting in from some other place, but man it was gross. We decided to stay, but that smell immediately brought it down a point. We decided to stay, and the closer we got to the front, the kitchen smells began to overpower the other smell which was a great relief! We had the three meat plate with cream corn and potato salad, brisket sandwich with macaroni, and brisket sandwich with potato salad. First the three meat plate. The brisket was juicy, nice bark, and well seasoned! Bravo for that! The cream corn was also really good and flavorful! The potato salad was too sweet for two of us, but the misses quite enjoyed it! The spicy sausage was just ok. Not to good, but not bad. At least it was actually spicy! The turkey was perplexing to say the least. It reminded us of our aunts dry Thanksgiving turkey. Not the smoked turkey we are used to from other bbq places. Skip it. The macaroni was the consensus least favorite. No flavor, about as good as box macaroni. Ok the misses sandwich was great, but the midgets brisket on his was super dry. We all tried and he may have gotten the super dry tip. If we hadn't ordered other brisket we would've thought it was bad. The bbq sauce was soooooo goooooddd!!! I love when something labeled spicy, well is actually spicy! Still tingled after we left and we loved it!!! Love the pico too! It was also spicy as it should be! Dam the smell was hard to overcome! I think we ate with a bunch of regulars, and maybe they were used to it? As soon as we walked out and got closer to the door smelled it again! Would've been a four! We are planning on coming back, just to try other items, and see if the smell was a fluke. Also good price point!

Excellent ribs, cream corn and broccoli rice casserole. Not a complaint. I ordered the 1 meat plate with brisket. When I got home I was surprised that I got the ribs lol. It was delicious!

Great service and awesome bbq! Rustic dining area. Turkey, ribs, sausage, chicken and brisket with coleslaw, sweet cream corn, potato salad, Mexican rice and pinto beans pictured below. So so good!

Meh!! Passing through Texas and of course I wanted Texas Barbecue!!! The ratings were high for this spot; however, they didn't deliver as I'd hoped they could. It was just meh. The brisket should've stayed in the back, as it was not suitable to eat due to the amount of fat on it. The peach cobbler was pretty good though!!! The service was decent, no complaints. The restaurant itself was cool, barbecue picnic table setting! Overall.... Just meh.

Service was good, responsive, and friendly. Food was OK. We got their ribs, brisket, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Gravy was the best part, but food was mediocre.

Great vibe.

Atmosphere/vibe 10/10 Employees and owner 9/10 Sides 8/10 Brisket 4/10 Didn't expect such a nice little inside, temp Indoors was perfect, cashier was friendly and owner was nice, I really really wanted to love this place. Tea was southern and sweetened to perfection. Cream corn was excellent, potato salad was good. 3 types of bbq sauce! Sweet, regular and spicy! Brisket portion was AWESOME, not stingy with the meat. My one thing and it's a big one is that the brisket was chewy, had absolutely no bark or smoke ring. I wanna try this place again because I really wanna like it. ZOOM IN ON BRISKET PIC

My lovely Primas invited me to eat here thank you heather it was delicious and can't wait to go again!

Checked Yelp for dinner suggestions so Doc drove us to the paid lot next to where all the Cinderella lit up carriages drawn by horses were lined up. It seemed the boats going up and down the River portion of the Walk were busier. While we were walking I had my eyes open for a table with a view. We stopped at Four Brothers. The receptionist went over suggestions on the menu on her outdoor podium. Cornbread in the shape of Texas, shareable items like Dino ribs for $82, plus Pork Shank and ice tea completed our order. Everyone was very friendly. We had an exceptional view and we had more than enough food that we had to ask for take out boxes. My favorite was the Mac & cheese though I'm usually not a fan. This dish used cork screw shaped pasta and it was moist and not stuck together. I had to share a photo of it with Sweetie who is in Tokyo right now. Doc liked the pimento for the cornbread. As it was almost 9 pm we decided to pass on the boat ride but just walk on the other side with shops and more eateries. We're back on the road again tomorrow to Arizona.

For a starter we shared the cornbread with another couple and it was plenty for 4 people. If you are from out of town and looking for some Texas-shaped vittles or just want something substantial to stretch your meal I recommend it! Very tasty and filling. For my main I had the scallops with creamed corn risotto. It was a dainty portion but the flavors were nice. My husband had the short rib tagliatelle which he loved. It was very rich and filling. We had the buttermilk pie again for dessert and this time it tasted sweeter than I remembered. It was good but we couldn't finish it. Idk if it was my tastebuds or if it was different. Anyways still a great meal overall and we will be back!

We were right on the river walk, but walked through the entire restaurant on our way to be seated and every bit of it is as lovely as where we ended up sitting. The Riverwalk, however, is a people watching place and so there really isn't any place in this particular restaurant which is not gonna be pleasant. Secondly, the service is exceptional. This is a very busy place. However, the waiter was simply incredible. Very attentive, very informative quite humorous. He was frankly part of the river walk entertainment. Extremely accommodating and instructive as well. You can't hope for much more from a server in Restaurant than this activity. The food is really quite good. How are the drinks. Extremely dependable and the portions are generous and equally wonderful. There are many places to dine in San Antonio. However, this is an experience not to be missed and I mean that quite sincerely. Kudos for a very, very well run well situated and well managed enjoyable place to dine on the river walk in San Antonio.

Favorite item was the Alamo huevos rancheros. This was a rare treat to enjoy a dish with brisket, cheese, and salsa without some kind of heartburn afterwards. Texas waffle: was one of the best waffles either of us has had in a long time Blueberry pancakes: very good. I really enjoyed the stewed blueberry Chilaquiles: this we felt was the only miss. Didn't like that it was prepared with tortilla chips instead of fried tortillas Steak and eggs: ask for extra chimichurri sauce and maybe add some extra salt.
