Via emails I was told by Karen the price would be "$475-$525". However, after the owner arrived the price was changed to $600.00 making the actual price $75-125 higher. That was disappointing because it turned out to be a "bait and switch". When he completed the work I wanted to see the door functioning and it did, and so I paid him accordingly. But within one (1) day I realized the unit squeaked like hell. So I used some lubricant everywhere I could find a joint and that helped. But it still squeaks. Is that on the Menards door OR the installation? I had to conclude Herb's Door Service should have lubricated the door as part of the installation. Lets face it we home owners/consumers cannot think of everything and that's a reason to hire professionals, so they take care of the details. With a little help from someone I could have installed the door myself as there are surprisingly good videos on YouTube showing step by step instructions. If I had it to do over I would have hired someone else. Herb's Door Service came in with the lowest price, but upon arrival it became a "bait and switch" AND he should have lubricated the joints.
