Im visiting from California, unfortunately I was having my truck fixed at TUCKERS Auto a few blocks down, I stumbled across Guacaholic Mexican Grill by accident. The atmosphere immediately took you to Cabo San Lucas, I was greeted with extremely professional, accommodating and cheerful customer service. I was there to buy lunch for the crew at Tuckers, to go. The server offered me water placed beans, salsa and chips as I waited for my order. the food came out quickly, I didn't have time to finish my beans, salsa and chips I asked if I can take them to go, the server brought out fresh chips, beans and salsa. The price was reasonable the serving where big. I am a chef myself, the Owner Jose came out introduce himself, as I mentioned I was having my Vehicle repaired I had walk, two blocks, Jose had one of his employees give me a ride back to Tuckers so I didn't have to walk in the NC humidity. I also noticed a high number of Military personnel dinning, they are Veteran owned. I was so impressed at so many levels, I returned the following day for lunch with my daughter who is also a chef. Im not one to eat out or compliment other peoples food however, when I do find an eating establishment that deserves to be praised I will praise. The server was attentive and very pleasant. The food, however, was the most bland Mexican food I have ever had. We got the chicken enchilada which came with rice (and beans, but I can't comment on those as neither hubby or I tried those). We ordered white sauce on the side. The salsa had some flavor, and without it, the rice would have had absolutely no flavor. The white sauce was, by far, the thinnest white sauce I've ever had at a Mexican place. And I am so glad that a coworker who had been before suggested you on Friday as I got to check you out! The food, atmosphere, and service was on point. However, margaritas are my favorite so with that being said, guacaholic has really BIG margaritas that are reasonably priced ($10 or so) and a variety of flavors. I will usually stick to tacos or nachos etc. I chose their street steak tacos. Served on homemade corn tortillas, cilantros, onion and lime. It was ok. Their rice and retried beans were very good, not too salty. Would have been better if the steak was well seasoned. My waitress was nice. I would go back for a margarita and nachos. read more

Nice spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. Greeted with warm, fresh tortilla chips served with salsa and bean dip. BEAN DIP!? This is a first! Salsa was delicious but left unfinished. That's because the bean dip was so good. Same with their queso. Sweet tea was good and sweet as the name implies Street tacos made were solid. Corn tortillas were the best she's had. Better than her favorite taco truck. Coming from her, that's saying a lot. Fresh cucumber, radish, onion, grilled jalapeno and green onion. This Cinco De Mayo, May 5th 2023, A group of us were so excited to be celebrating the day, our friends birthday and visitors coming from Louisiana at Guacaholic. Myself and another friend arrived first and reserved seating for 6 people. We were not told that all parties needed to be present, but was advised it could be an hour long wait. We were willing to wait because we enjoyed Cinco De Mayo last year at Guacaholic. We sat for about 15 minutes, received the text message and quickly went to to front desk and confirmed that our table was indeed ready. I called my friend over and was asked by the staff if our entire party was present. We said no, they are on their way. They told us that we could not be seated until everyone is present. They then told us that we had 15 minutes or they would be giving our table away. This told to us by a young girl, in which the manager, Christina confirmed. This already left a bad taste in our mouth, because WHY would you turn people away at a restaurant and we were standing right beside the table?? We debated on whether we still wanted to eat there, however after talking to the remaining party on the phone, they said they were 5 minutes away, so we decided to wait. The girl also told us that if we followed them on facebook, we would know about the 15 minute rule. The girl started watching her phone for the time and told us that our 15 minutes were up and did we want to reserve another table. Mind you, there was noone sitting at what should have been our table AND another table was available to sit 6 people. As the girl is saying this our friends enter the restaurant. They STILL would not sit us AND the girl had the nerve to say "I was trying to be nice". That was the last straw. My friend quickly turned her back on her and being the classy ladies we are we left. Customer service is horrible at this place. It's all about the money and how many people they can get in there to get drunk so that they will spend a lot of money carelessly. Fortunately for them there will always be people that are willing to eat subpar food, drink expensive drinks and deal with unpleasant, non-welcoming staff. However we are not one of them. We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Mi'Casita and will NEVER entertain the idea of visiting Guacoholic again. read more

Okay so I got recommendations for this restaurant from a co-work who knows I love drinks... I was so excited to try this place because I was told had amazing drinks that me and and BF normally only do date night once a week and we had just had date night the night before but I convinced him on going out two days in a row so we could try this place. Walking in the door no one acknowledged us took at lest a good 8-10 minutes before what I asume was a hostess ask us how many and if we were dinning in. He took us to a table when I then asked for a booth instead told him that I was okay waiting for a booth if needed he gave me attitude as in not wanting to change me tables but at the end he did. Over all I was like that's fine whatever I did see the restaurant was busy so I was like it fine. (I've been in the service industry myself before hostess and waitress so I truly understood) 2. Once we got seated at our booth we had at lest 3 different servers pass us by multiple times no one acknowledging us at all we had no drinks no menus no silverware it took at lest 10 minute for someone out of uniform (I'm assuming a manager of some sort) bring us chips and dips. Mind you still no drinks not even water. He just dropped the chips and dip without saying anything such as your waiter will be with you shortly can I take your drinks in the mean time he did say hi before dropping the items I can say that. 3. It's now been at lest 20 minutes of me and my BF waiting and having chips and dip with nothing to wash it down with ‍ my BF at one point started coughing due to chips and he had to just deal with it. Finally the same male that had brought us the chips and dip notice we were still at the table with no drinks that he asked if he had been served. I said NO we don't even have menus we have had no one approach us even asked us for drinks he apologized and took our water order and brought us the menus we looked at the menu for the first time after at lest 30 minute of waiting for service. 4. After waiting another 10 minutes for our water that finally a waitress brought she asked if we were ready for drinks I gave her my order of a Liquid Mariguana and my BF got a Pepsi I told her also we were ready to order when she was ready and she said okay and walked alway... ‍ she brought my BF soda 5 minutes later and took our meal order. So I was at this point just frustrated with the whole experience. 5. Our meals came out 15 minutes later I still don't have my drink.... I was pretty much done with how my experience turned out for the 1st time being there. I was just about finished with my meal when the waitress finally came and asked me wheres was my Liquid Mariguana? I looked at her like how do I know I don't have it that's for sure. Mine you not once had she been back at all since she took outlet food order due to some else bringing our food out. She never asked how's your food or you need anything else. I had to physically stop another server to get napkins. She then came back and said the bar was making my drink and was coming out in a moment she apologized that someone else took my drink from the bar, I knew what happen she gave my drink to the table next to me i had ordered my drink first before the table next to me but thy got my drink first so my drink had to be re-done she apologized saying they were understaffed but for me being buddy dose t stop you from having customer service there's a way to address tables when your busy and at lest acknowledging them (again I was a server for 6 years) keep in mine this was a a 80oz drink that I was gonna drink with my food throughout my meal now my drink came once I was done eating and I felt I had to chug this $35 drink down since I couldn't just cancel my drink because it was already being made they have a no return policy or exchange on drinks. Over all the food was okay and the drink I'm sorry to say I couldn't even enjoy due to having to chug it but for me I am really big as customer service and they really failed. read more

I waited for sometime & still no chips. Then had to proceed asking our server for some chips to go with the queso because it was never received. Our server looked puzzled at first, but brung a basket of chips eventually. My friend had ordered some loaded nachos & they looked okay, but seemed to be premade & not fresh. Then, as it's time to finally cash out he charged the queso on my friends tab & overcharged me for the wrong ticket. We were wondering what was taking so long with the checkout process & it's because the orders were mixed up somehow. So, he comes back to the table apologizing for the mishap, & saying that a refund should be issued to me soon. So, I had gotten charged for 2 separate orders smh. On top of all that... one of my friends had a bug crawling on her leg as we were dining in as well.
