A nice and small family style Mexican restaurant in a small town, very warm ambiance. The food is delicious and good portions. Very authentic Mexican food right here in small town PNW! This is the best Mexican food I've had since moving from the Southwest to the PNW and I am so excited to have found it within 25 minutes from home. If you live closer than me then you won the delicious and authentic food lottery and you get an extra dose of good in your life! The chips and salsa were perfection. Fresh made tortillas for my fajita meal. Enchilada sauce that tastes homemade. (nailed the flavor). Beans and rice done well. Environment is worn but clean and bright. Everybody in the hospitality team there was friendly and attentive. Everything at this little Mexican restaurant is wonderful. Their food is absolutely delicious, their prices are great, and the service is friendly. I really miss them being in Salem, but it's absolutely worth the drive. Their margaritas are fantastic and they have the best cheese enchiladas. Their salsa is perfect. Beautifully decorated and a peaceful ambience. Quite often they have a billboard that gives a blessing or encouragement. Nice family fun restaurant with fantastic food. You will not leave hungry. Jefferson is lucky to have this restaurant in the community. I've lived here over a year now and just stopped in for the first time a month ago. Now again a month later. Food is great. Recently went for lunch with my momma and my husband. Jefferson doesn't have a lot to offer for eating out so we try to consider that. This was unfortunate for us this time when we received our food. It was caked with cheese and the flavor of the enchiladas was bland and the refried beans were extra spicy and super salty which is not usual. For all three of us. I ordered a combo with the taco. Now mind you this is a Mexican restaurant and after looking later online at the menu the combo doesn't state hard or soft taco. BUT when I received my food I had a hard taco! A hard supermarket Winco taco shell from a Mexican restaurant that makes their own home made corn tortillas and includes them in other taco dishes like the Taco Al Pastor. I definitely do not care for hard tacos so when the waiter came back I asked if I had miss read the combo. He said the menu states 'hard' tacos. No the menu doesn't say hard. Then he paused and said I had to tell my server if I wanted hard or soft. Really? Well sir, we have decided regardless of the circumstances in Jefferson we will kindly pass by and not be returning. I can go to Winco and buy hard taco shells for cheaper with out the lies or the offended behavior. Also, after the previous visit and review nothing has been done to clean up the very unsanitary chairs or trim the plentiful amounts of stuffing hanging from the chair bottoms. Additionally, when coming in the door we noticed the floors really need attention as the edges and around the cashiers station appears to have had a spill or flooding of some sort leaving it very unsightly. Not to mention our table was sticky. Pretty much a bummer over all. Still their issues they can recover from if they cared to. Otherwise I feel folks may just be continuing to be patrons due to the lack of restaurants. Don't forget Grub Hub does deliver to Jefferson folks! read more

The food was fantastic. The rice, beans and guacamole had great flavor. The tamale was good as well as the chicken enchiladas. And the chicken chimichanga was so good and it was quite a good portion. I will definitely be coming back to try some other items on their menu. read more

Sophia provided catering for 24 people the Saturday before the 4th of July. The chicken fajitas were hot and delicious. Everyone loved the food. It was plentiful and very well packaged and didn't leak in my car. It was reasonably priced and plentiful and Sophia had some cute tin containers that gave a nice presentation. The restaurant has a lot of pride in what they do and it shows. They take payment after you have eaten the food and not when you pick it up or have it dropped off. Not gonna lie, when I heard they were coming back to the tiny town of Jefferson, I was ecstatic. I decided to go on an evening I was craving great Mexican food and they did not disappoint. I ordered Camarones a la Diabla, two orders and within 20 mins or so my to go order was ready complete with chips and salsa to go as well. I ate it all, which is funny because normally I never finish the beans but this time I did. I was very happy with the time it took to get my order, the service I received, and the meal overall. I came here on Cinco de Mayo with 2 friends, during an off hour (3 PM) so it wasn't super busy. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce and it was pretty tasty, the sauce is on the sweeter side though so if you're not a fan of sweet stuff in your entree, I would recommend something else. My friends got the carnitas and carne asada, both looked delicious and were large portions. The service was friendly and quick. Overall, this is a no frills Mexican restaurant (pretty good for the small town of Jefferson, OR) that's worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

Worst food I've ever had. I was super hungry when I went there and even my hunger couldn't help me stomach this garbage that they were calling "comida". Beans were worse than expired canned beans. Rice was worse than microwaved rice. Chicken boiled and flavorless. Sauce ruined everything. Stale chips. No beans with chips. Bad salsa.
