well cooked carnitas on a thin tortilla i've never had before, tasty
    Jay P.

My kid had to use the bathroom and there were signs all over that said "bathrooms for customers only". In hindsight we probably could have just ran in and used it but we were guilt-tripped into buying something. Normally we would steer clear of anywhere that had a sign that said "bakery, pizza, mexican" but the tacos we ordered were very good. We got 1 asada and 1 carnitas tacos and this would be my go-to taqueria if it was local, in certain locations in the bay area this would be a top stop for mexican food. Quality of the meat was good, wondering if the close proximity to so many ranches and farms have anything to do with it. The tortillas here are very thin, they reminded me of the wrapping you get with peking roast duck. I liked this a lot, wasn't as filling and the meat, onions, and cilantro have a sharper taste when not diluted by too much carbs. Inside is set up like a food court, there is gallery and shops upstairs and down, the pizza/mexican is directly in front of the door and the bakery is on the left. We didn't get to try anything but the tacos but did note the bakery is open at 6 am.

Top: Chips & Guacamole Bottom: Enchiladas Suizas (pollo)
    Jillian P.

They may look like a hole-in-the-wall (because they kind of are) but the food is delicious and exactly the comfort food I was craving. Ordered their enchiladas suizas with chicken and a side of chips and guacamole. Great flavors and super mild spice. Their side of refried beans was perhaps my favorite part of the meal. Loved using the chips to eat my main course; especially with those beans. The only reason they aren't getting a solid 5 stars is because of the stingy guacamole portion. It was literally a slice of avocado sitting in the small side container, and disappeared with the first chip... Will definitely return to try their carnitas (and order an extra serving of those refried beans).

The cheese is legit, but the sauce was bland and the crust texture was crunchy like Papa Murphy's. Definitely not the best pizza ever.

There were a lot of seating options inside and out. The service was great. As a small family owned restaurant the owners were very kind and so polite. They really took care of us. My girlfriend had two tacos de asada and I ordered a burrito de asada. My girlfriend gave her taco a solid 3.75 out of 5. The meat was juicy and tender. I give the burrito a solid 8.25. It was a great size and the rice had a rich tomato flavor to them. Plus the asada was juicy, but tender as well. Every bite was good. Overall it was a great spot. I would not mind coming back again.

The burritos were barely wrapped and fell apart immediately. The pastor had so many chunks of cartilage and just fat in it, and there wasn't much flavor. Beyond all of that, the prices just felt SO high. I walked out paying over $80 for my family of four (and our youngest ordered a burrito with just beans and rice, nobody got any beverages). I don't think there was any malicious intent whatsoever, but I felt genuinely ripped off after eating here. I really don't like to leave bad reviews, but I couldn't in good conscience let anyone go through what we just did. We had a great day of activities on the coast, and this meal just hung a dark cloud over all of it. I wish everyone who was working there the best, they were kind and attentive...I just feel awful now though and can't leave it unsaid.

El Milagro is not *cheap*, but it's very approachable with food that blows not only every other Mexican spot out of the water, but a lot of the fancier spots on and around the plaza as well, tbh. In fact, it was so good, my husband and I went twice in the span of one week, bringing family in town with us the second time. From the delicious chips and salsa, to the guacamole (served with a different chip that really deserves its own review)...the really great, fresh margaritas...and OMG the flautas plate. I tried not to order it twice in a row but couldn't help myself. That said, the tacos my son ordered - a mixture of chicken, carnitas and steak - looked insane and he verified that assessment with an empty plate at the end of the meal. Rave reviews of the e ceviche, fajitas and bowl were also shared. The portions were sizable but not silly and the service was friendly and authentic in the sense that they seem really happy and proud of their restaurant. 5/5 times 10!

When I went in to order, the place was empty, except for the man who walked in ahead of me to pick up his food. It was clean and nicely decorated. It took a couple minutes for the cashier/server to come out of the back to care of him and then me. I ordered a carnitas super burrito and my cousin had the two enchiladas with rice and beans special. The food was very good. There was something a little bit off about the chips. They were crunchy, but didn't taste really fresh. The red and green salsas served with the chips were okay, the green was definitely more flavorful than the red. I asked if they had a hot (spicy) salsa, and I was told they don't. In any case, there are not a lot of Mexican restaurants or taquerias in Lake County, so it's very likely that we'll be back. As I said, the food was very good.
