The wait for 7 tacos on Taco Tuesday was about 40 minutes. There were only 2 people ahead of me, and I believe 3-4 parties after me in the time I was there. I'm not sure if they worked in reverse or what but everybody after me got their food before I did and I got my food before the 2 people ahead of me. The food itself was ok but the tortillas were really hard. They were also smaller than regular street tacos. 2 stars for the $1 Tuesday special and the nice girl who took my order but I think they need to do something about the kitchen to keep up with their orders because 40 minutes is a bit excessive. read more

Incredible food. Loud restaurant. Pretty good service. I wanted to wait until I've eaten here a few times to write this, but I've tried about 3/4 of their menu and have yet to have anything bad. Some days the birria is like 7 some days it's a 10. But that's just birria. Some days it just settles better. Every taco is a solid choice. The sauce from the tacos dorados is so so so on point. My only complaint is that it's loud af in there lol. Regardless if the place is packed or tour the only one in there. But that's it. Get it to go or sit outside. Or heck, ask them to turn it down. First time here with hubs for lunch. Nobody greeted us and the majority of tables were high ones with too tall chairs. There were 2 tables at regular height but both were not cleared from previous dinners. After standing by one for several minutes, my husband finally cleared it himself. The restaurant is also very noisy!!! Afterrl ordering at the counter it took over 44 minutes to receive our food. I ordered menudo with no hominy and while there was plenty of tripe, the broth was absolutely flavorless. Hubs ordered the chile relleno plate which was very mediocre. We ordered both corn and flour tortillas which we agreed were excellent. The poor customer service, the noise and the lackluster food will make sure we'll never patronize this restaurant again! read more

We tried this place for the first time this past Tuesday for taco Tuesday. The people were very friendly. I ordered a taco de adobada and a taco de carne asada with guacamole And a taco de papa . Adobada street tacos are my favorite. Unfortunately the adobada taco was just ok. It lack flavor and I dislike my adobada meat finely chopped. But the micheladas were on point! This place had great tacos. Was recommended to us and we were very happy since we live right down the street. We ordered adobada, pollo, and asada tacos and they were all very tender and flavorful. Their home made tortillas were very authentic and taste amazing. The service was very limited since this is an establishment where you order your food at the register. We ordered plain quesabirrias for kids and a total of 5 tacos for the adults. To put it nicely the family was so upset to wait so long that I am sure they are going to roast me later. When paying I inquired as to if this is the normal wait times. I guess two people called out and when they do this happens. I suggest cutting your losses because the food was great but this experience will be hard for me to convince the family to come back. I saw others wrote reviews on the same issue, please fix that hate to see a bad reputation to a great place. Suggestion: If you are behind let the customers know about the wait time at the register. This will make a big difference in angry reviews. Ensure chips are served immediately. I had to ask for some to hold us over at the 25 mins mark. I've been here almost a dozen times, and my go-to items are the potato taco, beef mulita and carne en su jugo. I've had the torta and I wasn't a fan- the tomato sauce made the bread very mushy and it wasn't easy to eat. The taco comes in the same tomato sauce, which is a perfect accompaniment for the mulita- I like to dip the mulita in it and the portions together make for a filling meal. Both are a bit bland but they serve a few salsas that make up for that. I'm not sure how authentic the carne en su jugo is with the bacon, but the beef is always tender and lean and I just love bacon. The dish comes with a bunch of hand-made tortillas and I get two meals out of it! I've watched the prices increase quite regularly in a mere few months. While it's expected given the current events of the world, it seems a tad high for what is essentially Mexican comfort food. Overall, I would definitely return and I hope this restaurant gains traction. It's hardly ever busy here. I've seen so many businesses fail that I often wonder if the building itself is cursed. I haven't posted a review in years (seriously, check!) but I had to polish the old typewriter to give a good review to this restaurant! So, ok, not a full five but a very strong and solid 4*! Truthfully would have given it a 4.5 but I digress. Why not the full five? Though the food is good the prices are a bit high. The flavors are rich and filling, not saturated with spices but just the right amount. The quesobirria are a bit dry and could use a bit of the consomé, adding a bit would help a lot. Drinking fountain could add to the choices and perhaps a bit more choices in terms of salsas could help! Overall, I do like this place a lot, textures of the tacos and tortas are right and I would certainly come back again, I have been there a few times now! read more
