The food is so amazing and it's served quick and hot. My only complaint is the front line staff. They're rude. They have no phone etiquette when it comes to taking an order, they never say thank you.. one time I heard a girl cussing and talking rudely about a customer who really only asked the status of his to-go order. That's not the first time I've noticed these servers doing that. They don't even have the decency to wait until they're not in front of other clients. Those girls act like they're better than everyone and it ruins the atmosphere. read more

This place is amazing. It may or may not be the best Chinese you will ever have, but it is certainly as good as it gets in Albany, GA. The food has been consistently great and my last visit is no different. They started us off with some pickled vegetables that were slightly sweet and very delicious. The light and fluffy chips they serve go well with the sweet sauce (it looks like duck sauce) that they leave on the table. My wife ordered the garlic chicken with an extra wonton soup. It was all very good. The garlic chicken had very strong flavors and everything came together in buttery goodness. I had the sesame seed chicken and shrimp fried rice (a 'Guang Zho' special) with an egg roll and wonton soup. The egg rolls here are absolutely amazing. Always piping hot and you can request duck sauce and pepper oil to go with it. I always do and get a bit extra pepper oil. I added the pepper oil to my dish to make it a bit more spicy and it was all very good, but it was honestly too much food for one sitting. I took at least half of it home and had some delicious leftovers. The wonton soup was very good and very brothy. I took some of the little fluffy chips and tossed them in to give it a little crunch with the soup. Random notes: Their health score was a 92. The waitress was not that great this time around. Some other tables were checked on about 3 times for every single time she checked on her tables. However, it was overall a good experience. read more

Wow, wow, WOW! Our first visit, noticed that the parking lot is always busy, bodes well for a restaurant. Checking the Yelp scores and saw it had a great rating! Checked the posted photos of the online menu and it had our favorites on it. Arrived at 6:15, seated immediately. Waitress took our drink orders and we checked out the menu. We saw the pick Two special and we both decided on that, we didn't want the soup, got two appetizers. Pot stickers were delicious, light, crunchy, mild crab flavor. Fried Pot stickers, delicious filling, a different type of fried ( probably deep fried) but delicious. Husband had Pork Fried Rice w General Tso's Chicken.... just excellent, hot, spicy. I had Chicken Fried rice and Sesame Chicken, again, repeating myself EXCELLENT! Th amount of food was over the top, our bill e two drinks was $38!!!!! This place is pretty daggum amazeballs. The service was outstanding. I can't recall the last time I had a friendlier, happier waitress. I threw them a curveball when I was seated and showed them my Yelp checkin offer for a free app. My server had never processed one, but she happily checked out what was what, and I enjoyed my free wings. They rock, and are plentiful, btw. Food: get the special. For real. 8.99 and trust me, I was skeptical when a buncha skinny folks were all "zomg so much foods mah gawd it's nuff for two grown men blah blah easily pleased #notfat.". I am fat. Best Chinese in Albany! Food is always hot and fresh. I know a lot of people like to just do takeout these days with their favorite Chinese, but dining in is where it's really at with this restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is served fast and always hot, so you know it was cooked fresh. The Tai Chien Spicy Chicken is also one of our favorite dishes here. It has a nice kick of heat paired with freshly cooked vegetables, and served with probably the best egg drop soup I've had...ever! Also when dining in they serve sweet pickled veggies with crispy wontons to eat while you wait for your meal to cook. I know Albany is not noted for its widespread appreciation of ethnic cuisines, but Guang Zhou is definitely underrated in the YELP rankings. I have eaten at the finest Chinese restaurants in New York, Boston, Washington D.C. San Francisco and LA and Guang Zhou could give any of them some good competition. Their House Lo Mein, Moo Shu (any kind) and General Tso's are outstanding. The service is exceptionally fast and nearly always attentive. It is very busy from noon to 1:00 p.m. weekdays and weekends. wowzers!! if you like chinese food and a lot of it then you gotta visit - this place has awesome food and service and if by chance something is wrong just mention it to the hostess and they'll take care of it what to order: the special is more than enough for 2 people and the house fried rice is spectacular (i prefer to pair it with general tsao chicken) - not to mention the moo shoo is out of this world (any variety is great) if you like moo goo gai pan that is fabulous as well - i've had pretty close to everything on the menu and have never been disappointed dine in or take-out either way is fantastic read more

Very unassuming little place that looks like a cheap fast food restaurant but worth it. We came in over the holiday weekend and the place looked closed, but we were glad we tried it out anyway because the food was damn good. I'm use to expecting the Americanized Chinese food that's soggy and bland and just a quick dinner item but not this place. I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant. This place fails on many levels. The Mongolian beef was nothing but burned fat. The fried rice was far from what one could call fried rice. The sauces were bland. We also ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan. Breaded chicken? I have never seen Moo Goo Gai Pan with breaded chicken. Weak sauce. Had to ask for yellow Chinese mustard, and the duck sauce came in a squeeze bottle that was empty. The inside of the restaurant fails to meet the expectations formed by the outside. The wait staff was far from professional. I eat at both Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants on a regular basis and eat traditional as well as what this place would be termed as being "fast food" and I can tell you that from my experience over the years this place is at the bottom of the pile. on a 0 to 10 rating? This place is pretty good. The only thing is the menu was pretty much the same as Hong Kong Cafe. Food tastes about the same. Service is about the same. Portions are about the same, maybe slightly larger. I guess the only real difference is that its in a smaller place and the food may come out about a minute or so faster sometimes. The atmosphere isn't much to look at. Seems more like a fast food joint than a Chinese restaurant. I'd say its above average - pretty good for the money. read more
