Gubler Dental has questionable billing practices and lack of transparency! I had a concerning experience with this dental office's billing practices. Here are the key issues: Excessive pricing and poor documentation: They quoted $1,500 for a procedure I later had done elsewhere for $105. Surprise fee increases: When I declined their expensive treatment and asked to pay only for the brief consultation (approximately 2 minutes), the staff member immediately increased my bill from the quoted $150 to $186 - a $36 jump on the spot. Inappropriate "emergency" charges: They added an emergency fee despite this being a routine Monday appointment I scheduled the previous Friday. I specifically told them over the phone that there was no rush. This was clearly not an emergency situation. Unprofessional atmosphere: The billing discussion felt more like high-pressure sales tactics than healthcare. The lack of transparency and sudden fee changes created an uncomfortable situation. I eventually paid for that consultancy visit to avoid further confrontation, but what good is a consultancy when it is quoted 10x what you'd actually be charged elsewhere for a job done more thoroughly? How are we meant to be able to trust our health providers when their quotes are so unrealistic? I should have asked for an accurate written estimates before getting into this office, even though there is no guarantee they do not change the quot on the spot. Their receipt that they gave me was also questionable, it was simply stating the amount paid with no itemized breakdown and vague format that woulod make no sense, and no supporting documentation or medical codes. I'd recommend seeking dental care elsewhere if you value transparent pricing and ethical billing practices. read more

Let me preface this by saying that the only reason this is getting two stars rather than one is because Dr.Gubler himself was extremely pleasant, he isn't the problem I have with this place. On my first visit here, I got X-rays and an exam done showing that I had no cavities, but I was due for a cleaning. Since it was my first time at the dentist in quite some time (which is embarrassing but the dentist anxiety is real) they recommended me for a deep cleaning, which would cost about $800. You read that correctly. Any and everyone I mentioned this to thought I was insane, but their hygienist Erin insisted this was what was needed and a fair price, so I believed her. I was able to pay for one side at a time, but it still set me back. Fast forward about two months post deep cleaning, I go in for a regular cleaning. And what do they tell me? I have a severe cavity that needs to be filled immediately or it's going to need a crown. When I asked how this wasn't caught during my exam, X-ray, or the deep cleaning, the response was "well using a waterpik and brushing took away the plaque surrounding it so we weren't able to initially see it". So they had me spend $800 on a deep cleaning, but somehow missed a cavity this severe? I just don't see how that's possible. Circling back to the hygienist Erin: questionably the most impersonal, coldest person I've ever dealt with. Real great for that dentist anxiety I mentioned earlier. She did my deep cleaning both times, and both times I couldn't wait to get out of there. I literally had metal being shoved into my gums and it was more pleasant than her bedside manner. I ended up not being able to go for my follow up to get the cavity filled due to being sick, and I didn't even bother to reschedule. I'll find a new dentist. read more

Update....here we are 9 months later with dozens and dozens of phone calls to Gubler Dental, we had no other choice than to FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE NEVADA STATE DENTAL BOARD. In early January, I started calling again on a daily basis and finally got Lauren the assistant manager to talk to me because Adriana (manager) blew us off the entire time, that's even AFTER we spoke directly to Dr.Gubler himself in October who said he would "take care of this". Even our insurance company got involved with calling and later told us that Adriana is very rude and difficult to deal with on the phone (Jan. 2024). Needless to say, they FINALLY corrected the billing so the other dentist who actually performed the root canal can bill our insurance for the job he did 9 months ago. I can't begin to describe how awful Gubler Dental is and I don't know how they stay in business with people like Adriana running things and treating people the way she does and repeatedly stating that "she doesn't make mistakes". We will never recommend this place to our worst enemy, nor will we ever return. read more

This is by far the best dental practice I have ever been to!!! The main reason is because of the hygienist Rachelle. Her customer service is out of this world! I normally would do anything in my power to avoid the dentist but because of her I have never felt more comfortable to get my teeth cleaned. Rachelle has literally given me the best cleaning I have ever had from any dentists' office. Both Rachelle and Dr. Gubler genuinely care about you and your dental needs. The technical skills and abilities Dr. Gubler has are amazing. I also love how they not only take care of their patients but also help in giving back and taking care of the world Even though they are located over 30 miles (one way) from my house, I continue to return because of the amazing customer service and excellent quality of cleaning and dental work. I felt as if I was being pressured to buy a service that I didn't need during every visit. During one visit, I was forced to watch a video on invisiline. Please excuse my spelling. On another visit, the dental hygienist pushed a water pic. On another visit, the owner/dentist tried to talk me into letting him pull my wisdom teeth. When I refused to let him pull my wisdom teeth, he told me that I have two cavities and strongly suggested to let him pull my teeth. I'm in my forties and have never experienced sales pitches during dental visits at other offices. Needless to say, I no longer go to this office and do not plan to return. Recently my boyfriend had dental work done where he needed an anesthesiologist. The dentist was Dr. Sean Gubler he did an outstanding job was extremely thorough and professional. I was told I needed an extensive expensive cleaning over multiples sessions. I just wanted my bi yearly teeth cleaning. Was told I couldn't just proceed with what I wanted for my dental needs. I picked Gubler Dental because it was close to our house and at first I didn't have any issues, but recently I've had a few problems so I've decided to find another dentist. One issue was they did some work on my wife and she was in quite a bit of pain for several days and it turns out she needed a different procedure than what was originally done. The billing also got messed up and took quite a while to resolve. Another issue was I went in for my cleaning and at the end of the cleaning the hygienist let me know that the dentist was actually out of the office and she would have him call me to follow-up about her recommendations. Guess what? No call. Finally, when I made the decision to switch to another dentist I called to find out if I could get my x-rays from my previous cleaning. They told me I could stop by and I asked when they closed and was told 5pm. I showed up just after 4:30pm and the doors were locked. Luckily someone was walking past so they opened the door and got me what I needed. read more

I recently switched to this dental office after being disappointed time after time after time with my past office. Gubler Dental was recommended by one of my best friends, so I took the plunge. So far, I have been twice for cleanings. Rachelle is awesome and knows exactly what she is doing. She is also knowledgeable and friendly! I was in there my first time almost an hour as she did a very thorough job and took the time to explain things to me. My prior hygienist barely spoke to me. The first time I was examined by Dr. Chad Gubler. He was friendly, told me about his background, and that he was in this office with his brother, and two of his other brothers were in another office. Lots of dentists in one family! He asked if I had any questions, and really listened to me. He didn't try to push sell anything on me, and suggested I get my wisdom teeth out. The second time I went in, I took my son and saw Dr. Sean Gubler. I had to switch due to the days that I am available. He had worked with children in the past, so this was a nice fit. He sat and spoke with my son and didn't address me to answer for my son. I liked that, as I am not sure what goes on in my son's mouth. He was very friendly and professional. The staff is nice, the location is convenient, except that you have to park at the rear of the building and take a really slow elevator up, but that's not Gubler Dental's fault. Sean Gubler handled my dental care all in one visit. After many years of neglect, and some other underlying health issues, I opted for oral sedation and had one tooth extracted and 10 cavities filed...after never having a cavity in my life before. I found this dentist efficient, professional, with a willingness to answer my questions. They do tend to handle scheduling of the hygienists very tightly...which can mean the need for more visits. I would recommend them to anyone needing dental care, just make sure they are a provider on your dental insurance from the start of any treatment. read more

I recently went to another dentist after problems with the staff. They charged me full price and then billed the insurance. When they got paid by the insurance, it took forever to get my money back. They wanted to put it on my account as a "credit". Ten or twenty dollars is ok for a credit...not $900. I've received implants and crowns and my new dentist couldn't believe how unprofessional the work was. Everything in my mouth Is failing or there is decay under the crowns because they weren't cemented properly. He doesn't think he can save anything and I'm looking at dentures or full mouth inplants. I have very bad teeth due to health reasons and this place took advantage of that. This dentist put in expensive dental work just to get paid...not looking at a treatment plan for the future. Dr. Chad Gubler has been my dentist for over 15 years. He is excellent! He makes sure that everything is perfect. I have never had a pain or discomfort due to any procedure he has done. I did the invisalign with Dr. Gubler. The treatment and service that I received was just excellent. I had a difficult case that required a great deal of service. I would not in good conscience recommend this office to anyone . The staff is indeed very friendly, but I have a problem with always being pushed to buy something or have more services done. "take out all your silver fillings, and replace with better ones, buy our WaterPik, buy this Electric toothbrush, we need to break your cleanings up into 2-3 appointments, you need to come back every 3 months, etc. I have huge anxiety when I go to the dentist, and all this just made it worse. There's also no cell service in the office. When I asked about it, they replied "it's the building". The hygienist was very good, but when I asked that they get the cleaning done in one visit, the Dentist came in and said he understood my anxiety issues, but since I was choosing not to have the other work done, would I like to hear about future pain that I would be having.
