Gucci's reputation precedes itself with renowned fashion designs, leather goods, jewelry, shoes and more. Grab the look book and browse at your leisure to get a complete feel of the current season's collection. You'll also have the opportunity to make an informed decision about what pieces you'd consider buying whether they are already available in store, or must be ordered from an off-island location. Sales pop up every now and then. I came across a magnificent swimsuit in Details Magazine and was pleasantly surprised to find it at half the price and still in stock. Take as much time as you need to try on sunglasses and shoes before making a choice on what you'll be adding to your wardrobe. Best of all, you can rest assured Gucci will help you find what you're looking for. They even honored store credit from 1986, which a certain loved one who will remain unnamed passed on to me. I would definitely have to agree with other yelpers about the relaxed vibe here. I never feel intimidated and have never been snobbed by any employee. I am not one to get all dressed up. 80% of the time, I'm wearing an anime tank and denims. Ive come with my kids in tow and without. No matter how I come, I always feel welcomed. Even if I'm browsing or purchasing, it's all the same amazing service. The store is pretty organized and easy to navigate. Front would be women's bags & SLGs, toward the back would be belts & ready to wear, and toward the side door are the shoes & men's SLGs. I am definitely not in the market for purchasing designer clothing so I really can't speak to their clothing line. I have started a collection of handbags, wallets and a belt. Hopefully soon I'd love to own a pair of Gucci shoes, I just can't decide which! I appreciate the fact that most of the items are readily available to try on. Over the past few years Gucci has been really hitting it with their new designs. The Marmont is a major fave. I'm also a big fan of the modern "vintage" look coming back. Came straight to the Gucci store. Upon walking towards the entrance, the store associate stated that they are closed. (Checks phone literally 7:01pm) I went there for a specific item. I'm like okay totally understand. About 1-2 minutes later I'm standing around trying to find something to eat. I see the same store associate unlock the door and let not one but two people in. I was really upset. I'm under the impression I was turned away on how I look. I had fresh out the shower hair with jogger pants and a sweater on. I understand about closing time. But just due to the fact I saw two people allowed in after I was rejected entrance. I'm not having that. I went here with my girl friend since she has never been to a luxury store before. She and I wanted to look at bags and accessories. The employees here are so kind and helpful. There were 3 people helping us during this shopping trip. One wonderful lady guided us towards all the different kind of belts. Two sincere gentleman helped us with trying on and delivering us with our requested sizes. By the time I wanted to go to checkout, the man who was helping me was so efficient and prompt. Mayu is such an amazing sales associate who helped me with the denim Gucci jacket I was interested in from the cruise collection. The other sales associates told us they were willing to ship it over, but we would have to pay first. I wanted to try it on before we made any big purchase like that since it would be a hassle to return it if it didn't fit. Mayu was able to find the size I needed from the Waikiki store and brought it over for me to try on. The smallest size arrived and we were notified promptly. She tried to say she was closed but shortly after she let other people come in. I wouldn't do business with this store because the lady there has poor judgement! First off, let's talk about that man standing at the door. Is it me or has any other local residences noticed that the employee only opens the door for tourists? (I've been here more than 5 times and have encountered different staff at the front door.) Each time I walk up to the door, the man looks at me and turns away. Opening my own door wouldn't be such a big deal to me IF the same treatment was extended to the tourists. Sadly, the doormen hold the doors open for whom they assume are tourists. Once inside, I've always had to flag down a sales associate -- on busy days and on slow days. Again, there was preferential treatment was given to the tourists. A sales associate had walked around me to get to a couple who were tourists. This sales associate did not acknowledge me before or after greeting the tourists. As disheartening as this is, I have a few loved ones who still love Gucci's products and that is the ONLY reason why I continue to shop at this store -- despite the preferential treatment towards tourists during ALL my visits to this store. read more

We decided to check out the mall on a whim because my husband decided I needed a purse lol. We decided on Gucci. Walked up to the door (they had a little table with a bottle of sanitizer on it) and a gentleman came out to greet us. He asked if we had an appointment and we didn't since it was a spur of the moment kind of thing. He said that was fine and explained that customers were able to make appointments as well. He explained the guidelines when in the store which was very simple: you're assigned to a salesperson and you must all stay together, maintain a 6ft distance from other groups, wear your face mask at all times. They also have sanitizer throw out the store. Celia was our salesperson, she lead us to the women's handbags. She was very knowledgeable of product and also informed us what was top sellers. I chose my handbag and matching wallet then it was my husbands turns. Celia showed us to the men's area. While he browsed, my daughter asked me if there were kids things in there. (She is 8 so she had no idea this was a luxury brand store). Celia heard her and apologized to my daughter saying the Waikiki store had children's items. My husband made his choices and we were asked to have a seat while Celia prepared everything. After about 7 minutes or so she came out with our items for us to inspect and to give us our total. After taking our payment she returned with everything to package in front of us. Everything we purchased were placed in their dust bags and then into a lovely box and then bagged. Up until this point I was extremely satisfied with Celia's customer service, but then she did something very thoughtful that we didn't expect at all. After giving us our bags she said that she felt bad that they didn't have anything for kids so she gave my daughter a box of Gucci chocolates in which she put in a bag so my daughter could carry it herself. My daughter was so happy because 1)she now felt part of the transaction and 2)she loves chocolate! So 5 stars for Celia and the Gucci store at Ala Moana!! read more

Loved this location! We had a wonderful associate, Seiya, he was very knowledgeable and super friendly! We had similar hobbies, like going to Disney lol, he sold us two pairs of shoes from the Disney Gucci collection and he told us a little about his personal interests and made sure we were comfortable throughout the whole experience, forgot we were there to buy shoes! I've been in love with a particular bag from Gucci for quite some time and finally made it into the store to purchase it. Being that I haven't made a purchase with Gucci in over 10 years, I was pretty excited to get something. I was immediately greeted by the door man then followed by greetings from other associates. I ended up buying the purse and a wallet and waited while She wrapped it up. She came out and she gave me the items I purchased and asked if she can look in my Gucci bag I had walked in the store with, I opened it and asked her if she thought I was stealing anything, she just smiled and said wow very nice inside trying to avoid my question. Somebody needs to fire their head designer and quick. They have a new tattoo line of hand bags that look like a 2nd grader drew the designs. Gucci also has a new line of studded bags, it looks like Herpes. I nicknamed the line, Her-pez cause it sounds french like Hermes. If you ever wanted a Gucci bag, wait till after Christmas, the whole store will be on sale, clearance in fact, you couldn't pay me to wear some cheap crap like this. And the boots that were on sale 2 years ago, are still on sale. I have these white gold diamond dog tags from Gucci that I got years ago and the clasp broke, I still have the receipt, paid over 3 grand for them. I haven't shopped at Gucci for several years ever since they had changed their design. I then moved onto Chanel and Louis Vuitton, but decided to come back for a nice cross body bag that they had at the perfect size! My husband decided to purchase this bag for me for my Mother's Day gift. As we walked up to the door, like all the other high end stores, we had it opened for us. For the record, I wore distressed jeans, shoes and a tank top. My husband who is a true local boy will always wear his quicksilver shirt, pants and slippers. When I saw the bag I had been eyeing out online a sales associate, Derrick, came up to us and told me I was free to try it on and showed me where the mirror was. He didn't follow or hound us like we were thieves like I have experienced at some stores on the mainland. He even told me he could take out the tissue paper so I could see inside. I didn't want to be a bother and told him we could keep it in. We double checked the price and to my surprise it was about $275 cheaper in store than online. Told Derrick I wanted to purchase it and he was extremely surprised at how fast I made a decision! I can only imagine how long people take to decide to buy a bag. It's difficult for me to admit I even stopped in this store, since I don't generally endorse these name brand places. However, that being said, my tai tai (look it up in a Chinese dictionary) needed a new wallet. I looked in several places, and they were either too bulky, too trendy, or the designs were just plain bizarre. I finally ended up in here, and the proud hunter and gatherer that I am, I finally captured the perfect animal. It had a couple places for oversize bills (perfect for the non-American ones when we can afford to travel outside the country), a few cards, and a nice little place for coins, and it was slim and elegant, too! It was a bit spendy, as the name of the store suggests, but to be able to find something that pleases my woman , it is worth it! I totally agree with Love S. regarding the "tattoo" line of handbags...ticky-tacky! It made me want to yell "Arrggh!" like a pirate. I didn't see anyone admiring them, either. Hmm...maybe they'll eventually end up at the Aloha Stadium swap meet? The woman helping me was very friendly. I always used to think they only paid attention to Japanese tourists, but apparently I was wrong. I'm sure I won't patronize this place frequently, since my wife is not into the whole "Let me show off my name brand baubles" type of scene, and I do not earn six figures (though my work is certainly deserving of such!) but it's nice to know one can enjoy a sense of accomplishment while spending the equivalent of a night out at a very fancy restaurant. read more

A few friends and I went to this particular location looking to make a purchase. We all had a long day, fresh out the shower, dressing comfortably. Closing time for the mall was at 8 and we got to the Gucci store closes at 7. As soon as we arrived to the door, the manager looked at us and said that they were closed and not letting anyone in. So we proceeded to walk around deciding on where we should go for dinner instead. As we were walking we seen the manager open the door and let not one, but several people into the store. I genuinely feel that she looked at us and judged us based solely on how we were dressed. They need to seriously reassess who they allow to manage their stores. Personally, I'm a Burberry fan myself. However, my lovely other half is a diehard, loyal Gucci follower and that's fine. My personal experience with Gucci and the staff specifically at the Ala Moana front (I've been to others around the world, all with exceptional service as well) have been great. Any time we make it to Ala Moana, we always visit Gucci to see what they have. To note, I've entered the store in many attires - from extremely tourist-y/dressed down, to dolled up on a hot date. My style of clothing has never affected the attention we received and have always been helped with a smile. Being used to Japanese-style service, I'm used to their somewhat individually-assigned service, meaning when someone helps you, they tend to stay with you until you leave. While some may be annoyed by this style, fear not. While the staff will help you, they understand when you want to be left alone to browse. For the most part. Their designs are quite nice and I still cannot get past the beautiful piece of art that is their trunk (located between the shoes/travel/men's section). Products are subjective as far as taste goes, but as far as service? Way above places like Chanel, Hermes, and LV. I must admit, even better than Burberry. My experience shopping at Gucci was nothing less than pleasant. I was lucky to find the store nearly empty, so I felt as though I had the store all to myself & the service was exceptional. I was blown away by the service that I received. I told Kumiko what kinds of bags I liked and she was very helpful. She let me try on the different bags I were looking at & never once made me feel pressured into buying anything I didn't want to. What can I say...sales tax here is cheap! Service here is good too. Kaleo helped me and he was super friendly. This is my first purchase of a major name brand bag. I'm not one who sports those old lady LV bags, or Prada, or Chanel purses, etc...but I've always took liking to Gucci, mainly because their designs are more subtle and less gaudy. Plus I don't like flashing the brand name of my items to everyone, so Gucci works for me. Anyway, I received really great service from Kaleo. He shared his story of his recent visit to Orange County, where I live, and we hit it off. I went to this store twice, the first time just to look and try a bag that I wanted on. Kevin, one of the sales associates helped me. He was patient while showing me bags and didn't try to pressure me to buy anything. When I went back the second time Kevin greeted me right when he saw me and even remembered my name. I purchased the bag I wanted and actually got a size bigger than what I was originally looking at. Gucci has been killing it with their new collections & designs! This review isn't about the company or the store, but for a specific salesperson.... HER NAME IS MAYU, and she is the ONLY reason why I keep coming back really. I understand sales and retail life. I've been on that other end few years ago. Some people will cherry pick their customers... but not Mayu! I've been going to Mayu for about a year, and I won't be going to anyone else EVER. I usually come in to browse, but most of the time the salesperson would not even say hello and acknowledge me... so I end up leaving because I'm annoyed no one even asks if I need any help. Then one day, God blessed me with Mayu! She saw me looking at a bag, and asked me if I needed help. FYI, two other agents seen me come in and didn't bother to talk to me. She is so patient, honest, friendly, sweet, & personable. I was looking to buy a bag for my bday present, and I couldn't decide between the two. She didn't pressure me, but handed me a card and said to come back when I was ready. I ended up coming back couple weeks later to buy the bag, and since then... always kept in touch with her whenever I was interested in something from the site/store. My mom & bff also go to her because I introduced them. And they both told me the same thing - "She's so genuinely caring, and is the nicest person."
