Service was fast and the quality and value is worth it…read more Recently I was driving towards 80 from Sacramento to Oracle. During in the middle of my route, the tire on the back exploded once i ran over something and i was still going 65-70. I am completely fine and I manage to correct it and safely move to the right shoulder with the help of officers. Got the car towed and I chose this one particularly. The prices were good, even when it was busy.

Get ready for a long one…read more Off the bat, Ron seems like a good businessman and generally a nice guy. He quoted me a great price for a level kit, wheels and tires. I was told that my wheels I wanted would be at the shop in 2 weeks (I'm assuming so he could secure a deposit from me, because I later learned that the wheels are on a nationwide back order of 1-2 months). After a lack of communication and poor transparency despite several text messages and phone calls, I ended up waiting about 6 weeks for the wheels. I felt as if I was chasing my own tail. I decided to wait for the wheels, mainly because he was reluctant to give me my deposit back, I figured maybe this is a one off situation, so I showed some grace. That was a mistake. 2 days before my appt, I informed Ron I'd arrive to the shop at 9am sharp, which he agreed and was aware of. Upon my arrival at 9am (opening time for the shop), I waited for over an hour before anyone even asked for my keys. Once the cogs finally started to move, I had asked to see the products before installation, to make sure they were correct. If it wasn't for me double checking, the incorrect kit would've been installed on my truck. When I confronted the employee about the incorrect kit, he responded with "this one is the best anyways". Turns out they opened the wrong box and tried to sell me on it anyways. Now for the wheels. Apparently after 6 weeks of waiting, and confirming with Ron and the KMC sales rep over the phone over a month ago regarding the model/spec of wheel, the "wrong wheels were delivered". So at this point, it's been an hour and a half since I arrived at the shop. My truck hasn't been touched, the wrong level kit was almost going to be installed, and my wheels weren't even present. With my frustration at this point, I asked what Ron could do to make me whole. I was told he could knock off $120 from the price and I would have to wait another order cycle for the wheels, for a grand total of 12-16 weeks from my initial deposit. Lackluster service. On their official website, this business claims that their "customer service is second to none. We are here to ensure that you get quality service from a team that cares!" This could not be further from the truth. I would save your time, money, and sanity and spend a few extra bucks going to a more reputable shop.

I also checked with reddit and many people suggested Vander Hamm instead of hanlee toyota or Aaa, as someone sometimes in the car industry I'm picky about the Quality of work and a professional transaction. I called them from Torrance CA a week ahead & arranged to show up 4/24 and I ended up coming an hour early and they squeezed me in, I dealt with Blane White and he was professional on the phone and in person, the car was dropped off around 9am and finished at 1030am exactly as promised, and they gave it a good once over and quoted me on replacing the Tpms sensors for 110$ each, which is reasonable, as the dealer wanted 250-300 each sensor, so I will definitely consider it. Great place super professional and honest and there's no drama. Highly recommend, and make an appointment as it's a busy place.

Vander Hamm has severely fallen off in their service quality and their honesty is nonexistent these…read moredays. $250 for an inspection I know they did not even perform. Flakes in my engine oil, transmission fluid leak, missing a sway bar, ball joints completely worn, tie rod ends also completely worn...not one of those items mentioned in their inspection report. $100 to install a turn switch indicator...didn't work properly when I received the car back. No comment on it. Did not even attempt to test it before giving it back to me. Gents at the front desk are polite but have no integrity or they simply just don't care. Severely disappointing as this shop used to be the definition of outstanding service. You're better off selling a kidney and going to the dealership, these guys will just cut corners until there's a major repair they can overcharge you for.
