Based on the aesthetic of the store I had expected to enter the store being greeted with the fragrant aroma of tea leaves, but there was no smell at all. We got the Pu Erh Milk Tea and the Oolong Milk Tea with 50% sweetness. The Oolong had some fragrant aroma, but lacked the depth and flavor. This newly Taiwanese boba shop was opened back in February 2026. It was super packed when I arrived on the weekend. Instead of ordering via kiosk, I ordered my drinks via the counter. I personally did not enjoy this place as much as I thought I would. I ordered online and the drinks were ready when I got there. There was no line Sunday afternoon so I guess the hype has died down. I got the 33 king's oolong fresh milk tea at 50% sweet and my husband got the honey oolong tea. The 33 king oolong tea was ok, was a bit milky and the tea taste was faint. I would've liked a more stronger tea taste. At 50% sweet the drink was really sweet so I wouldn't go much higher. My husband's honey oolong tea had a fixed sweetness and I thought this one was better. I could taste the tea more. For being in such a competitive area, I don't think Guiji outdoes the competition. Apple Hongxuan Black Tea ($6.99)-- LOVED the apple, hated the black tea. It's my second time trying and I remember that I didn't like the black tea so thought maybe I could swap out... but no. Gave it another chance and it's still not my type. It just tastes so fermented? Like the tea just has this aftertaste that I really don't enjoy. It just sucks that I can't swap out the tea for any other tea. The apple smells really nice and tastes like "real apple" as opposed to apple juice. Their explanation was because the AI robots just mixes the drink. I'm assuming it scans the label order? So you can customize ice level and sweetness but that's it. I'm used to other places having more flexibility with their fruit tea options (eg. Green or black) or having multiple options of a similar menu item... but not here. I've seen this place all over IG, so I decided to stop by on the way to Costco. The interior is very clean and spacious-lots of places to sit and spread out. The menu was kind of intimidating, to be honest, with the different teas and fermentation levels, so I settled on an orange green tea with boba. Overall, it was fine; the boba seemed perfectly cooked as it was nice and chewy. Got a chance to try Guiji off hours after lunch on a weekday. No line, walk up to order. I think there was one other person behind me and another person picking up their order. More people started coming in after I got my drink and left, so who knows how hype and fisted it is truly. I got their 33 Kings Oolong Milk tea at half sweetness, less ice and it was just alright. It's not a bad tea, but it doesn't have the same punch of flavor from the other franchises that have popped up recently (Molly Tea, Chahalo, etc.). Tea flavor was super super subtle and even at 50% sweet, it tasted a lot like sweet milk to me. It's not as bad as I make it sounds since there's a slight floral taste at the very least. Probably did a big oopsie ordering this or at the settings I did. Should have went with my gut and got the apple tea since that was calling out to me but I pivoted last second. One of the better tea places that's opened recently! This is located next to 99 Ranch in the newly remodeled Tawa Gateway plaza. There's currently plenty of parking but I can see it being hard to find parking in the future when more stores open up. You order your drinks at the kiosk and then wait for your number to be called. My friend and I came around 2ish on a Sunday and there was no wait to order. Drinks took about 10 min to come out. What we ordered: Peach oolong: I got this 0% sugar and honestly it was perfect. You could taste the tea flavor and the little peach bits sweetened the tea just right. Definitely very refreshing. Wintermelon oolong: got this 25% sugar for my husband and he enjoyed it. It was also really good but a tad bit sweet for me since Wintermelon in general is already sweetened. Grapefruit green tea: my friend ordered this at 50% sugar. I tried a sip and it was tasty! Definitely a bit tart from the grapefruit bits but also very refreshing. Overall, I would definitely come back to try more of their teas. I visited Guiji after a friend recommended it super modern spot and very busy when we went. They were also running a fun little promo where you pick an egg with your order, and inside is a prize. We ended up getting one with a free drink on the spot, which was such a nice surprise. I also appreciated that they got that free drink out to us pretty quickly we didn't have to wait long at all. We originally ordered two large orange green teas with aloe one at 80% sweetness with 30% ice, and another at 100% sweetness with 50% ice. With the free drink, we got another orange green tea with aloe at 80% sweetness and no ice. One thing I really appreciate about this place is that they seal their cups, so you know you're getting a full drink not something filled below the line. Our 626 area bike group was making a stop here, I heard of its opening but haven't been by yet, till today. It was mildly busy, but very busy when all 12 of us showed up at once. Not sure how this spot is going to stay a float with another well known boba shop 300 feet away in the same plaza and another opening soon 400 feet away.. The target audience may be very niche and those who love oolong as it seems. Their menu is very limited. They use paper cups so its not a see-through cup and their cups have a nice minimalistic design which I liked. The grapefruit green tea was like I heard, very fresh with lots of the grapefruit pulp in it. It tasted fresh with the aromatic green tea. It's not a fruit tea I have tasted at other places since it really does taste freshly made. I enjoyed the tea overall. Would recommend trying it at least once! Guiji definitely won out on my SGV tour of new drink spots. I came back the next day too. I got the winter melon fresh milk and it was GREAT. I loved it. I did less sweet and less ice and it was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I will keep coming back. There is some seating inside. More and more Asian boba shops open up shop in the US, and Guiji is no different. This time, it's a popular Taiwan chain, so when I went to LA for a biz trip, I had to try it. Prices are on the steeper side for presumably high quality milk tea, and my 3 milk tea order came out to be $23. I ordered the popular 33 Kings Oolong Milk Tea, and it's pretty much a basic oolong tea, but I guess some claim it's more "enhanced"? Their shop runs on the sweeter side, so I was surprised when I found my 50% sugar drink to be perfect for me, when usually I am a 70-80% sugar drinker. Definitely get the 50% sugar option MAX, anything more IMO and it's too sweet. The boba pearls are a little small, but I feel like every boba shop from Taiwan has a little smaller boba. They were bouncy, chewy, and had flavor, but the pearls were a little too small for the straw. I would get stuffed with boba pearls during the first half of the drink, with only the milk tea itself during the latter half. Make sure to portion out your boba pearls to get the full enjoyability. The inside is very modern and the cups look very minimalistic and upscale. However, I found this place to be very, very similar in taste to TP Tea, and probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference aside from the boba pearls. Solid milk tea spot, but this shop demands a premium from your wallet. With the plethora of boba shops serving similar drinks with similar menus, it's getting harder to differentiate which ones come out on top! read more

It recently opened, and today it was especially busy because a group of kids came in for a field trip. The drink she recommended was honestly really good. A modern Taiwanese style milk tea addition to the SGV area! It's on the busiest boba street where there's something on every block. Guiji is located inside the 99 ranch plaza that also has plenty of parking. I really love the 33 kings oolong milk tea - it's fragrant tea flavored without it being too overpowering. Also really enjoyed the apple fruit tea! Tastes just like the apple juices in Asia with a nice tea after taste. It's also a nice space to hangout so will definitely be visiting again! read more

I'm a creature of habit and I visit Guiji only for their grapefruit green tea with aloe vera. It's so good and refreshing! Out of all the boba spots I've tried, it's definitely my favorite grapefruit green tea drink. Something to note- The drink itself is on the sweet side so you can definitely enjoy it at 30% sweetness. I always place my order online and they seem to prepare their orders fairly quickly.
