Another great coffee find in Alhambra....definitely this place is legit too bad I don't come to this area too often but I remembered I came out here so i went again the next time I was in the area.... Clean and relaxing atmosphere....knowledgeable and friendly staff....but most importantly great coffee! I always tend to go to a pour over drip black only if available at a place it gives me an idea of the quality of the beans they have and how well they make the pour over. Definitely will come back again....

Was in the area with some friends and we stumbled across Three Fields Coffee! The space is modern and spacious, with small tables as well as communal tables and even some board games on the shelf along the wall! Definitely a great space for hanging out and/or getting some work done. The staff members were friendly and welcoming as well. I got an iced matcha latte lightly sweetened with agave which was quite good but the matcha flavor could have been a bit stronger. The prices for the matcha are a bit steep though - $8.5 for a matcha latte, and $10 for the strawberry matcha latte or the matcha latte with a matcha cream top. If you bring your own mug they'll give you a small discount on your drink too! Parking: there's a nearby free parking structure, or street parking

There's so many new coffee shops in Alhambra now and I want to try them all whenever I'm back in town. I finally was able to give Three Fields Coffee a try. It's a little shop that was packed with people, so it seems like a popular study and hangout spot. They have a good menu of specialty drinks to try and I decided to order the Orange Vanilla Espresso Tonic. I like a good espresso tonic and this definitely hit the spot. The drink was refreshing and I enjoyed the orange juice and vanilla flavor. The Strawberry Espresso Tonic also sounds good, so I'll have to give that a try next time!

I really wanted to love this place after seeing so many good reviews, but the matcha latte with sesame cream didn't quite live up to my expectations. The matcha itself was pretty weak and a bit flat, missing that rich, earthy depth you'd hope for, so overall it just fell a little meh. The sesame cream added a nice richness, but didn't bring much of that distinct nutty sesame flavor and mostly just tasted creamy. That said, the space is beautiful. It's clean and minimalist with lots of natural wood, high ceilings, and an open, airy layout. There's plenty of seating, making it a great spot to work, study, or just hang out. I'd still be open to coming back and giving it another try, maybe the double matcha will hit better next time.

I came on a Saturday afternoon and was able to find a seat easily. The ambiance of this place is quite nice. They have free WiFi and the seats are comfortable. There is a WiFi limit of 3 hours and they will kick you off afterwards :( I ordered the strawberry matcha. At a steep price of $10, I had high hopes but was really disappointed. The cream top was lacking sweetness and the strawberry flavor. The matcha was not bold and was overpowered by the milk :/ I'm just glad they don't charge for milk alternatives. Considering the mid overpriced drink and limit on the wifi, I probably wouldn't come back :/

There's parking in the free city lot behind the coffee shop - if you drive south on Garfield Ave you'll see signs directing you to the parking lot. My friend and I arrived around 2:30 PM on a Thursday to cafe and were thankfully able to find a table. The large communal table also appeared to be pretty empty. I really enjoyed the ambiance here - the music choices provided solid ambient noise without being overly distracting as we worked. The cashier was friendly and was kind to share recommendations on drinks. There is free WiFi for guests (no password needed) and there are 2 restrooms for guests. You can order non-dairy milk options at no additional cost, however I do feel like the base prices are higher than some other coffee shops. My matcha black sesame (kuragoma) latte was $7.50. Unfortunately, I would not recommend ordering the matcha black sesame latte. The drink comes sweetened, however, the first sip was quite bitter, grassy, and watered down. I decided to mix everything together, and while the nuttiness of the black sesame started to shine through, I still found myself disappointed with the taste. The black sesame paste also had a somewhat gritty texture, which was a bit off-putting. Overall, I would return to cafe, but I'd likely steer away from the matcha and opt for a regular iced latte or something.

When I first went here, they were out of matcha. I wanted to choose something that only Three Fields offered. I ended up deciding on the Black Sesame latte. After grabbing my drink, I noticed that they do not put lids on top of the drink which was a first for me. However, they do have lids and other condiments near the counter. They also have free guest WiFi and plenty of seats available. The black sesame latte at first glance is a grayish type of drink with some sesame seeds sprinkled on top. After taking a sip, I could taste the sesame in the drink. The sesame was a good balance in the drink and wasn't too overwhelming. The flavors meshed really well together. I plan on coming here again and trying another drink.

I was super excited to try this place because I've been seeing all the good reviews but I left super disappointed. I ordered the strawberry matcha with oatmilk, don't be fooled it looks so gorgeous but unfortunately it was super watery I couldn't really taste the matcha. It was pretty pricey too my total came out to $10 and honestly it just wasn't worth it.

Stopped by here in between my interviews and I made a great choice. This coffee shop is very spacious and cozy walking in, the barista is friendly and patient enough to give me time to order. It was a warm winter day, I needed something to refresh and clear mind, so I decided to go with the espresso tonic with orange juice. The best choice made of the day, it was so fresh and brain-awaking. The coffee was made elegantly and freshly. Here is perfect for study, computer work and friends hangout (maybe keep the noise down).

Double Matcha here was solid, but I feel like the sweetener flavor overpowers the matcha flavor a bit. I also wish it were creamier. Still above decent nonetheless and I liked how I wasn't charged extra for oat milk. There's lots of outlets and wifi, but there's a 3 hour limit to the wifi. Not sure if this place would be suitable for a long stay if you want to work/study here. Barista was friendly to me and there's free parking in the back or in the nearby structure. Overall, good experience here and a solid option if you're looking for a cafe/matcha in the area

I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and agave (no charge for milk + sweetener!). Matchaful's Hikari is one of my favorites, so the matcha here was very yummy for me! It was smooth and not too sweet. The agave gives the drink a mellow sweetness compared to adding honey. I took a sip of the strawberry lemonade and it was pretty tart/sour. I'd add a bit more sweetness to the drink!

I came in on a weekday morning. It wasn't that busy. Some tables filled with people working on laptops or playing games but wasn't busy when I went in. The service was decent and the staff were friendly. Ordered a matcha latte with almond milk and a pistachio croissant. If you like a sweet pastry, then the pistachio croissant isn't a bad choice. They cut it up and filled with a bit of a cream inside. The matcha latte here is probably the clumpiest and grittiest I've ever had. I unfortunately didn't watch how they made it but every sip was very gritty. I unfortunately had left already by the time I tried it. Might come back to try a coffee but I wouldn't order a matcha here.

The coffee was well-made - it wasn't burnt, overly bitter, or sour, so the extraction seemed solid. However, the flavor felt flat and watered down. It lacked the aroma, body, and rich roasted notes that make a cup memorable. Nothing really stood out, leaving it tasting more diluted than satisfying. Also, I don't think the barista could froth the coffee well. Instead of a nice velvety, dense froth, the froth was a bubbly foam (see photo). Food - 3/5. I visited around 9 a.m., but the pastry selection was surprisingly limited (see photo). The pastries also didn't taste particularly fresh; they had more of the texture and flavor you'd expect from pastries sitting out later in the day rather than freshly baked items you'd hope to find early in the morning. The café has a modern, hip vibe and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's spacious, with plenty of seating, making it a pleasant place to spend some time. Overall, Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab is a fine neighborhood café if you're looking for a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a coffee. Unfortunately, neither the coffee nor the food left much of an impression. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing really stood out either. While the ambiance is probably its strongest point, the coffee is just average.
