I'm giving them 5 start based on their coffee. I got the Seasalt Cream OG and 2 toasted brown sugar Boba milks. The coffee was amazing. My husband makes me a coffee from a phin everyday day for work and this is exactly what it taste like except the cream which elevated the coffee even more. We came back from Vietnam and the coffee in America has been subpar. This has been the only place that I would come back to consistently. Only for their coffee. My children like the Toastes Brown Sugar Boba and finished it quicker than most other places. There is a touch screen to order. Came Back for Our Usual... Left With Feelings About Parking & Sugar Levels Hubby and I decided to circle back to one of our top 3 favorite boba spots (not that our list is super long lol), because after a delicious hot pot dinner we were seriously craving their Coco Mango. First things first... the parking here still deserves its own Yelp review. Whoever designed that parking situation... respectfully... why Parking still sucks, but we powered through. That said, it was actually really nice seeing this place busy and packed last night -- probably around 15-20 people inside. I was weirdly happy about it because I'd be genuinely sad if this place ever closed. Always good seeing people supporting a spot you love. We ordered our usual Coco Mango, and since I was feeling adventurous, I also tried the Dragon Fruit Aiyu. And not gonna lie... the Dragon Fruit Aiyu was delicious. Super refreshing, the dragon fruit tasted fresh, and the jelly inside was such a nice touch. Definitely a solid 8.5/10 for me. My drink was $6.95 and honestly worth trying if you want something fruity and lighter. Now for the Coco Mango... This drink usually never misses. The sweet coconut with that tart mango blend is usually chef's kiss every single time. We've probably been here close to 10 times, which is why I immediately noticed it tasted a little different last night. I ordered mine with the extra lychee popping boba (+$1), so total was $7.95, and I'd rate it around a 6.8/10 this visit. My husband always tells me to stop doing 70% sugar because "either commit or don't" and honestly... he might've been right this time. But even aside from that, both the coconut topping and mango felt less sweet than usual and just didn't have that bold flavor we normally love. Maybe it was because they were extra busy and moving fast -- totally understandable -- but it was the first time it felt a little less magical than usual. Still... one off night absolutely won't stop us from coming back because when that Coco Mango hits, it hits. PARKING: It's a big lot, just be careful going in and out. The intersection is bonkers. SEATING: Lots of seating inside for people who want to chat or just to wait around for the drinks. The ambiance was very chill. SERVICE: It was self service so there was no cashier interaction. I did have questions concerning the drinks but all the boba-ristas were busy making drinks. Heard great things about The Tea so finally gave them a shot! They have a large menu, the inside has a few table seating in the front and some 2-seaters on the edges. We ordered a couple items from their signature menu, the matcha yuzu and the Oreo milk. We realized after ordering that the Oreo milk had no tea in it, there's one that is called Oreo milk tea so something to be aware of. Matcha was hand whisked but not super strong. The boba is definitely honey soaked, which means that I can lower the sugar amount in my tea and the drink will still be sweet enough. When the boba isn't sweet, it really ruins the experience of having boba with your drink. I haven't had a bad experience with my drinks so far, but $7.20 is a bit high, so I can't come that often. Hubby ordered us drinks on the kiosk- No 18 Golden Mellow Milk Tea with oat milk 75% sweet with less ice and boba for me and the Toasted Thai Tea with crystal boba for himself. The tea is usually my go to spot but something unacceptable happened in my last visit. We ordered an avocado smoothie and popcorn milk tea. The popcorn milk tea was fine but the avocado smoothie had chunks of hard plastic in it. My girlfriend watched one of the workers take out a large chunk of plastic from her drink. Nice, clean and decent in size, but the smell when we walked in was not pleasing to our olfactory senses. It smelled of some rancid grass or the smell you get of the hay mixed with animals at the stables. Aside from the smell, the drinks were pretty solid and definitely not too sweet. The Uji matcha is what initially drew me in as that is where some great matcha comes from. The drink was a bit gritty and definitely not sweet, as I ordered it with 30% sweetness (but it did taste to be unsweetened instead of 30%). The others said they liked and enjoyed their drinks. First time trying out The Tea. Very nice place and it's very cozy. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee, milk tea and tea type drinks. Very warm and welcoming vibe inside The Tea. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by three sweet young ladies at the counter. All three provided excellent customer service. Yaqi the cashier informed us of their coffee and drink menus. She told us which drinks were better served cold and which ones were better served hot. Connie our barista brought us our drinks. We ordered the Creme Brûlée OG Iced and Sesame Cream OG Iced. Both coffee have Vietnamese coffee as their base. Loved our both our coffee drinks. Creme Brûlée OG Iced was perfect. Not too sweet and the Creme Brûlée compliments the espresso well. Same goes for the Sesame Cream OG Iced. The espresso blends well with the sesame cream taste. However, maybe lessen the thickness of the sesame cream for a smoother taste. Looking for a new milk tea experience, I decided to go to The Tea. The shop is located in a shopping plaza, and has a few seats. Ordering is straightforward, and I decided to get the Toasted Brulee Milk Tea. It didn't take long to get the drink, which is a positive. However, the drink itself was not what I expected at all. The brulee was very foamy, making it unpleasant to enjoy. The brulee and milk tea base also did not mix well, and worst of all, the drink has a bitter aftertaste. The boba pearls had no taste, and tasted stale too. With the prices charged here, I am very disappointed. With a good amount of options in this part of MP, I would have to say I don't think I will be coming to The Tea again anytime soon. read more
