    Grilled Chicken Sandwich

This is truly a nerd bar and I am so here for it! The service was fantastic and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We sat at the bar and the overall vibe was very relaxed and welcoming. I see why this is a neighborhood favorite. We split the grilled chicken sandwich and they cut it for us which was very nice. Highly recommend!

Shoutout to my bestie Marc for taking us here! Dropped by last night after work for some food, drinks, and overall good company. Lots of street parking! Walked in and to our table all the way in the back that our friends had already reserved. It wasn't too busy when we got there around 6 but it surely picked up quick and soon it was a full house. The decor is super cute!! Got that video game theme vibe all around and they also have an outdoor patio that can be reserved for larger parties and events! You order everything up at the bar and they will bring it to your table. I went for the smash burger and their house chips, fantastic combo. The chips are AMAZING. Super crispy, perfectly salted, and could eat it all night. The burger was perfectly cooked but definitely heavy! I was halfway and had to give the rest to my friend lol. The drinks are great, not too strong and fun with the video game theme! I wasn't in the mood to drink so I got the Heart Container mocktail which was perfect! Love anything with coconut cream. I also tried a bit of the Pumpkaboo cocktail and for someone who doesn't like bourbon, this was fantastic. Perfect fall cocktail and will definitely be getting it again next time. Staff are very friendly, shoutout to Mia for taking care of us! We played DnD: Dungeon Mayhem and it is our new fav lol. The garlic fries, sweet potato tots, and house chips were definitely my faves. Great spot overall with plenty of seating, tons of games to choose from, and lots of TV's that stream a variety of Twitch streamers (can even request). Looking forward to coming back more often! Guild Hall is a great nerd spot in Burbank. Great drinks, great beer selection and great food. Walls have classic video game art out back in the covered outdoor seating area. Bar service is always fast and attentive. Food service can be a little on the slow side. Street parking across the street. Use the crosswalk to get over and don't attempt Frogger as it's a busy street.

For gamers, board game aficionados, and casual guests alike, Guildhall is as much of a great gastropub as it is a very welcoming space for those who like a bit of geekiness with their nights out. As someone who loves video games, it was awesome to see streamers being broadcast on the gastropub's televisions and images of Smash Bros. characters adorn the outside patio area. As a "Legend of Zelda" fan, I geeked out at a replica Master Sword being hung by one of the larger TVs and I definitely treated myself to a "Heart Container" mocktail which was a pleasant, sweet blend of coconut cream, lemon, and pineapple juice. Other than having a great selection of board games, Guildhall provides enough table space to play those games as well as other forms of games. I love how inviting Guildhall was in the sense that it's built to encourage people to sit down, stay, and have some fun with friends. It also helps the food here is pretty good as well as I thought the sweet potato tater tots were some of the best I've ever had...and the garlic fries were pretty darn good as well! Overall, it's really nice to be at a place where a big, diverse crowd of people are coming to have wholesome fun with their friends. Seldom have I gone to any drinking or eating establishment and felt so many positive vibes. Consider me a customer for life!

I don't normally write my reviews until after I've left, but today I'm writing as I eat and drink. GuildHall, OMG!? I found this place on Yelp because I needed a place to come hang out before my flight out of Burbank. I'm going to cut to the chase, The service is Impeccable!! Now on to the only thing that really matters... Their Crunchy Chicken Strip served with Buffalo sauce and their own homemade Ranch dressing.... my eyes rolled back, seriously, they did. WOW!! If you don't come here, you're pretty much telling yourself that you don't deserve Great cocktails and Crunchy Chicken Strips!! I've never had a better strip..... NEVER!! Great job guys!! I told the bartender I was still contemplating ordering another round of Strips and he went back into the kitchen and grabbed me a fresh out of the frier, chicken strip, just to entice me. I don't foresee a future where I don't come back over and over again. Collin & Max THANK YOU!! I'LL BE BACK!

Pretty cool premise having a full bar/ food menu while having a space to play a variety of different board games that aren't just monopoly. I got the Chareau-Dinger's Cat cocktail which was very fresh and delicious as well as a side of fries and their brussel sprouts. Everything tastes great especially the sprouts. The inside is on the smaller side so if it's winter being outside can get a little chilly if you don't get next to a space heater. Only thing keeping this from a full 5 stars would be how small the cocktails are for the price point, not really a fan of that. (note: the picture I posted is not the full drink as I'd already had a couple sips before taking it)

From the moment I entered Guild Hall, I was blown away by the hospitality of the staff and vibrant atmosphere. I was impressed by the full bar and themed monthly specials. As for the food, the smash burger was a win paired with their mixed green side salad with citronette. Tater tots and garlic fries were good sizes to share with the table. The menu is inclusive of vegetarian and vegan options. I had a great time playing Labyrinth with my friends and I can see many more fun game nights at Guild Hall. For parking, we found residential street parking without any trouble which is always a plus.

What a cool vibe! We enjoyed the walls of games and big space. People everywhere were playing lots of different games and enjoying food and drinks. It's a counter order and deliver to the table situation, so little interaction with the staff, but everyone was friendly. I liked the food, smash burger and veggie platter.

    Ask the Community - GuildHall

    Do they take reservations?

They do not. It's first come, first served, and once the tables are full, they don't have more available.

Do you allow underage people if they are accompanied by somebody 21+?

Unfortunately the Burbank location is strictly 21+ however the Whittier location is all ages.

Would you guys host a Dungeons and Dragons game? I'm a dungeon master in the SFV and would love to run a game in an actual bar.

Absolutely! We don't organize any events however if you want to bring your group and play at the bar that is more than welcome.

How do people get a table here? Every time i come its packed and no available seats and theres no host or hostess to talk to so I wait around for a bit and just then leave lol

What time does the kitchen close?

    9:30 Sunday-Thursday and 10:30 Friday & Saturday

Are the posted operating hours up to date?

Yes, the posted hours are up to date. We will do our best to update this page, our website, and google if and when our hours expand.

What time do you open on Saturday?

    5 pm

    Are people under 21 allowed?

Guildhall in Burbank is 21+ all of the time with the rare exception of some special events.

What time should I arrive on a Friday night so I'm able to quickly get a table?

7ish any later and tables are taken or go after 10

What board/card games do they have?

All of them lol no where near as many as GameHaus in Glendale but cards against humanity, clue, life, most of the classics... Big selection that takes up a whole wall to the left of the bar.

Is there a happy hour? If so, what are the times and specials. Thanks!

No Happy Hour, but they have delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices... and don't forget the fun and unique atmosphere available every hour! ?

    (1) Is there a time limit to play games whilst drinking and eating? (2) Is Magic the Gathering TCG available and/or can we bring our own decks?

    1) You can play as long as you like. I think they would prefer if you continue to order drinks or food while you play, especially if they are busy. 2) You can bring your own…

We found this place last minute to watch the final FIFA World Cup game when we were turned around…read morefrom another spot. Thank god we got turned away because this place is a hidden gem. They do have parking behind the building which seems to fill pretty quickly if they're busy, but it's easy to find parking around the neighborhood. I am not usually in the tavern scene so I was surprised that we had to order and pay at the bar, but it wasn't a big issue. My friend and I split the kale caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese. For the table, I ordered the waffle fries after being informed by the kind waitress that that was the better choice over the pretzel (which she also said was amazing). Since the place was filling up for the final, the kitchen was a bit slow, but we barely noticed with how attentive the staff were in getting us drinks and refills. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised with this place and is honestly the reason I'm writing this review. The first things we got were the Beef Tallow Waffle Fries, Caesar Salad, and mac and cheese. Obviously the fries were much better, however the salad was also divine but just swimming in dressing. Back to the fries, we all were mindblown with how tavern fries could be this good and had so many flavors. Even the skinny queens in our group kept snacking on them which tells you how good these were. Mac and cheese came and it was standard and creamy but not necessarily something I'd return for. The surprising thing on top of the fries that majority of us loved was the Vegan Tomato Scampi with shrimp. It was fire and had me questioning if it was even Vegan. Would definitely return here if I find my way back to SoCal from the Bay. Great unassuming place with great food and vibes. Their bathroom as well is super clean and nice! Love this place!

This place came up several times when I researched on great restaurants that have excellent vibes…read moreand great food. Although it didn't really necessarily show up as "the best food in LA area" but all the reviews were so good so I became curious to try. Mainly the reviews also raved about the vibes, services, and live music. Well, they were not wrong! It was fairly easy to make a reservation through Opentable, and I made a reservation for two people for my birthday dinner on Sunday night. I put on the notes that it's my bday so it'll be nice to get a nice table near the stage. I didn't have a high expectation, cos I'd never been to the place and I didn't make a call or anything. But wow, they definitely gave us a great table at the very front! As many reviewers had mentioned, the acoustic of the restaurant is really great. You can barely hear other people's conversations. There's a live jazz band playing, so you can really enjoy that. Although it made it slightly hard to hear what other nearby people say to you either, haha. Our server Dawson was a really great one! Very nice, very informative and just has a great vibe that made you feel comfortable to converse with him. We also asked if he could take a picture of us and he went above and beyond with taking our pictures haha. He took the table lamp as our additional "lighting". Such a great service! Dawson also made a few suggestions on food. We ordered the milk bun (so great!), the tiger prawns tostada (omg, my favorite of the night!), braised lamb pasta, pork belly risotto, and roasted broccolini. Everything was really good and really filled us up! We also got the "smokin old fashioned" and "Wake up and repeat" cocktails. It was plenty of food for us so we asked for a check. Dawson asked if we wanted a dessert but we were already full. He asked if it's ok to give us a lil treat for my bday. It was a really nice dessert :). Oh I forgot to mention that they also put a small bday card on the table for me. The prices of food and drinks are on the higher sides, but I feel like it's worth it due to the live music and the vibe. It easily covers the entertainment part. We definitely will go back and recommend this place for anyone who's looking into a nice date night or to celebrate something special. I was informed that Friday has more of a "party vibe" here, although it's still a jazz performance. Sunday feels more laid back :) Overall I'm really pleased by this place. I used to think that I don't care that much about excellent service as long as the food is great, but I was wrong. The excellent hospitality just made the night even better than expected. Thank you for making my bday dinner memorable.

The usually have a live band after 7pm and the sound in the resturant is amazing. It's like a recording studio. The staff was very friendly! The decor and ambiance was also impressive. Definitely swanky but down to earth vibes. I got the rasberry beret cocktail and it was different but fabulous. Not sure how else to describe it. It was refreshing. We got the tiger prawns and it was presented as a toasta, which had a great flavor and texture. The apple salad was also refreshing and a good portion to share between 2 people. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and my favorite after the tiger prawns was the Dungeness crab pasta. It had uni on top! The uni elevated the dish, and honestly there were a good amount of crab meat in the dish. Overall well balanced and creamy. The 2 of us left full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place for a date night. There's also plenty of street parking when we went but there is also valet for $15.

You'll want to park in the back and enter through the back parking lot. I highly recommend making reservations, especially if you want a booth. The booths were reserved for specific time slots, so we were lucky enough to snag a table. The wonderful hostess welcomed us, guided us through the space, and even sat us at her favorite booth, which may have been her favorite because of the view or the beautiful painting nearby. I absolutely love the aesthetic of this tiki bar. It's dark and moody, with furniture and décor that feel nostalgic. Considering this is the first tiki bar in LA, it definitely looks the part and has a great atmosphere. The only major issue I had was the wait to order another round. There was one line and only one bartender taking orders. Another bartender eventually appeared, but they didn't start taking orders until later. Our first round took almost 10 minutes to order, so seeing four people waiting in line made me realize that getting another drink could easily take 30 minutes. That was definitely the biggest flaw of the experience, but thankfully, the drinks themselves were tasty! I'm hoping the slow service was just because we arrived right when they opened. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the atmosphere, drinks, and unique tiki-bar experience.
