Our campsite was clean and pretty level, we stayed at 052. Camp host made her rounds to tell everyone about the rules and bears, and to give out parking passes. She was very nice! We would definitely stay here again. Bathrooms were very very smelly... maybe the worst camping bathrooms I've experienced ha but everything else was perfect and I can't wait to be back!

The spot was a walk up camp ground but the parking was essentially right at our campground which was nice. The campgrounds are close together but not super close. A large portion of the campgrounds were rented to trailers many of whom appeared to be there for a dirt biking event but they were all very nice and where not too loud. The sites get very dusty so I'd definitely recommend having baby wipes as there is no showers on site and the creek although beautiful is very very cold snow melt that even washing your feet in will make them numb.(I still got in but it was cold!) it's close to the sherwin lake/valentine lake trailhead which was what we came for and the hike seriously outdid itself I was not expecting such beauty along the way 10/10 would hike to lake valentine again especially on a hotter day as it was not very hot while we were there. Also the camp host was very very nice the only thing I'd say would say that could make the campgrounds a perfect 5 stars would be some sort of on site shower even if it was by payment because just being at camp it gets quite dusty other then that it was a great experience

Lots of space in the woods to set up camp with plenty of shade. Easy to park a trailer. Close to water, trash and bathrooms. Beautiful walks to the other lakes and waterfall. Close to bike paths. Although the campground was close to roads, didn't hear a lot of traffic noise. Heavy bear activity. Our host LaDonna was very sweet and friendly, and kept bathrooms very clean. No cell service.

However, even if we go home empty handed, The scenery is worth the drive and cost of a fishing license. Today, arrived later mid afternoon, and of course it's a windy day! This campground also has a few First-Come-First-Serve sits available but usually gone by Friday night or super early Saturday morning. Overall great CG, the resort next door has showers and laundry if needed for a fee. Token for showers are purchased at the General Store.

Had our supplies shipped here beforehand. It was nice to be able to pick up some hot food and have our own campground with a bench to re-organize our stuff on. Also was nice to have a place to wash up. They even had an area where you could plug in and recharge your battery pack. Unfortunately, there was nothing for me to eat at the grill since all of their vegetarian items were out. But we did get some french fries which hit the spot. We were there on a Wednesday and most of the supplies in their store were also out. Overall, it was a nice addition to our trip and we were happy to have stopped there.

My first time in Yosemite, that I can remember anyway, we decided to just wing it and hope to get a…read morespot at one of the campgrounds that offers 'first come first serve' option. We arrived in late June...and had a hunch that somewhere along the less busy 120 which heads up north of the Yosemite Valley would be the most likely spot for an open campsite. Up up up we went, winding our way along Tioga Road past stunning glacier carved scenery. Both Tamarack and White wolf had "full" signs, but finally after a 55ish mile drive we arrived at Tuolumne Meadows 9000ish feet up. The campground itself is just east of the Tuolumne meadows store, gas station and visitor center and on the Southernish slopes of the meadows themselves. We got there at 7:30am and there was already a line forming for the open campsites. (The office is open 8-5) In line I learned that The Pacific Crest Trail passes right through here, and June is generally when all the hikers make it to Yosemite after starting out in Mexico in April. Everyone hanging around the site were definitely of the younger and more rugged variety. Also I became aware that June is mosquito season. We got campsite G14...and let me tell you, I absolutely loved it. It is a bit of a walk to the restroom, but whatever you're camping. The point is this site is very very secluded. You can hardly see or hear your neighbors, there is ample space in between. I mean of course your campsite might be the first a bear would visit, but that's why each site has its own bear locker for all your food and toiletries to hide. I recommend bringing an umbrella to provide shade for your locker, because it can literally turn into an oven. I have to say, in retrospect I'm really glad we stayed in Tuolumne meadows, because it was far less touristy then the Yosemite Valley. Yes in June it is infested with mosquitoes, but I'd rather deal with them then loud obnoxious tourists traffic. The nearby Tuolumne meadows store and grill sell everything you might have forgotten and the prices are generally reasonable too. You can walk right down to the meadows from the campground, or head out on any of the wonderful hiking trails that start right there in the meadows. I really recommend Tuolumne if you're looking for a cooler (temperature wise) less touristy place to stay in Yosemite. Just keep in mind the Yosemite Valley is quite a driving trek. After my whole trip finished, I would have to recommend Yosemite in Early Spring or Late Fall, never in summer. Tuomlumne is only open in Summer generally, so definitely call ahead to make sure where ever you are going in the park is open, no matter what time of year it is.

We planned a 5-day weekend trip in Yosemite /Eastern Sierras and decided to stay here with a large…read moregroup. Some experienced campers, some new but we all enjoyed our stay. Campgrounds are very well maintained, the bathrooms are clean (no soap though when we were there), potable water spigots all arounds, and campsites have plenty of space. Car ports were a bit tight (he had 2 per parking space) but we managed. Hosts drive around all day and make sure things are going smoothly, some people may like that, others might find it a little annoying. Place is walking distance from a Starbucks and a short drive to the 2 main breweries but oddly does feels secluded enough. Enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Aspen trees for miles…read more I always make a point to stop here just to witness the Aspens changing color, a breathtaking transformation that typically peaks in late October. It's absolutely worth the short detour. Located approximately 20 mins from Yosemite's entrance at Tioga Pass. These golden groves are located just before the entrance to the campground. While I'm not much of a camper myself, I did stroll through the site to get a feel for it just incase I ever change and become a camper. It's serene, quiet, and beautifully nestled alongside Lee Vining Creek. The area is shaded by trees and offers amenities like restrooms and picnic tables. If camping is your thing, I recommend checking out their website for more details. Even if you're not into camping, catching the Aspens in their autumn glory should be on your list if you're in the area between late October and early November.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon without a reservation, and began to mildly panic one we learned most of the sites had already been taken. Luckily we came across some super friendly Aspen Campground regulars, who invited us to share their double site which just happened to be situated in a prime spot right next to the beautifully bustling river - SCORE! The Big draw to Aspen is hands down the fishing. It just so happened that right before we arrived the local hatchery dropped a load of fresh trouts, ready to be hooked! This was my first time fishing, and I was able to catch (and Cook) my very first fish! If you like to fish and you like to camp, going to Aspen is a no brainer. The trees are also large and plentiful, so if you come, don't forget to pack your hammock!

The campground is clean and close to town for anything you may need but still feels like your in the wilderness. We had wildlife sightings and the camp host Jan, her housband and of course Milo are the sweetest most accommodating host we have ever experienced. We definitely have made new friends with these fantastic camp hosts. Our family always looks forward to this yearly trip from San Diego and are alway hoping that Jan and her family are going to be there to welcome us and our kids to another great year of vacationing. This campground is just a short distance to any local lakes you may be wanting to fish or swim in. I highly recommend this park to you and your family. See you next year Jan!

Jan and Mike are the best camp host, and Milo is the best dog greeter. The location is really convenient because you're pretty much in the middle of town, so a lot of places are within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.
