Taken 10am departure day. Imagine in at 10pm

Just read Sandra is no longer there, now the cranky old dude in the golf cart should retire and I might go back. If the bathrooms are clean. I'm in my 70's, a quiet camper and they were the rudest mean spirited ppl I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

It's my first time staying here and I was surprised to see they have 2.5 stars on yelp so i asked the crew and they said the management has changed. They don't have electricity hookup yet and you are not allowed fire wood so that is the only 2 things you should plan ahead. The walk to the lake is 5-10 min from the rv parking. it is a beautiful place and the team was amazing and so nice at the store/main office. We had an amazing experience staying here and I would 100% come again to this RV park!

We have been camping at Pine Cliff RV Park for most of the past 55 years... actually almost every year since 1967. The campsites/RV-spaces are OUTSTANDING! Where else can you find RV spaces literally cut out of a beautifully mature and dense pine forest providing full hook-ups (water, sewer & electric) as well as a safe campfire ring (old washer tub) at every RV space. Using washer tubs is genius... the holes in the tub allows the heat of the campfire to radiate to everyone around the ring while keeping the actual flames safely contained inside the tub. When you visit be sure to bring graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey bars so that you can make s'mores with your neighbors, new friends or old friends reconnecting again as you sit around the campfire. This has been our favorite get away place for our family for a couple of generations. For health and age problems we can no longer spend time at our favorite summertime destination. So for those of you who are reading this, we wish you many years of good times around your campfire at Pine Cliff. Bob & Penny Dinsmore Ventura, CA

Ask the Community - Pine Cliff RV Resort & General

Does anyone or can anyone please post a picture of the layout so that we know what camp numbers they are? We have read that it is difficult to make a reservation and I'm sure knowing the spot would help

There is a map with the camp site numbers on the official web site. It's very easy to book a spot. Just plug in the dates and it shows the ones available. You can then click on the spot and reserve it.

First time experience coming up to June Lake for the weekend and it was such a lovely getaway…read more Shoutout to my friend for taking me and showing me around. I know for a lot of people this is a nostalgic place that they grew up coming to as kids and have kept the tradition alive coming every year and so on. June lake is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking during the winter when there is snow. My friend has come here all year round and definitely agreed coming in the winter is like a wonderland. It was well worth the 5 hour drive to see snow and be in a cold and beautiful environment. While I'm sure it's lovely in the spring and summer, I'm looking for something I don't have close to home (which would be snow) so I'd definitely consider coming back again in those winter months. June lake is such a sleepy and quiet little area, it's very relaxing and calm. I felt safe being there and navigating the downtown. It's super small as far as the downtown goes, only a handful of restaurants and motels. Great for a solo traveler or someone wanting to wander around by foot. The lakes and mountains surrounding this town are picturesque and stunning. Having been to mammoth and now June lake id say if you want something more relaxing and small town vibes I'd prefer June lake over mammoth. It's got less action but if you are looking to just get away, snowboard/ski, and recharge - this is the perfect vacation destination to check out.

We asked another nice man if we could park somewhere else and walk to the lake and he said yes. We parked about half mile away and walked to the lake. When we got down there we found plenty of open parking spots. Nobody monitors how many come in and how many come out so how do they know if there is no parking. We didn't mind the walk but what was disappointing is the gate lady did not even suggest that. She just said its full and that we could not come in. She even tried to compair June lake to tahoe and say it fills up and gets busy quick. LOL sorry to tell you lady but tahoe could drop one tear and over fill june lake and tahoe don't tell people beach is full come back. That just doesn't happen at tahoe.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend at site #10…read more The site has a fire pit, picnic table, and bear box. The sites all seemed to be on the smaller, cramped side and a bit dusty, but overall clean. Deer liked hanging around the campsites as did the wasps. The single occupancy flush toilets were clean and in good condition despite a busy weekend. They had a cleaning chart on the door so people came in frequently to clean it. Good campground near Gull Lake and June Lake if you don't mind a smaller site!

The good: nice big tables, good fire ring, easy access to water and clean restrooms. Area is pretty, and it's close to the lake. The host is very friendly and informative, and sells fire wood. The bear boxes are big and work well. Sites have pull through parking, so it's very easy to park. Most of the sites have decent shade in the daytime. Short walk to gull lake. The bad: sites are not private at all. Sitting in my site, I can see directly into no fewer than 9 other sites. It's also right off the June Lake Loop, which means cars are very audible at all hours. I was also awakened this morning by a helicopter flying very low at 7 am. It has continued running laps all day. The host informed me that they're replacing power poles with more sturdy ones. This is a good thing, but not for campers in 2020! Be warned. Overall, with the exception of the helicopters, this campground is fine. I'm giving it 4 stars because I really can't hold the helicopter noise against the campground.

It's hard to miss in the Eastern Sierra when it comes to camping, especially north of Lake Crowley…read more The June Loop has several places to camp, hike, or just relax, all with beautiful views, trees, and access to some legendary trout waters. Gull is one of the smaller lakes in the area, with plenty of fishing opportunities like her larger cousins June, Crowley, and Convict, to name a few of the hundreds. Camping is first-come, first served... and despite the signs telling you to "wait for the host," I suggest going and knocking on their camper door so someone doesn't steal it out from under you. Some of the lake is circled by cattail reeds, so shire access is perhaps more limited at times. However, Gill doesn't feature the summer annoyances of waterskiing and weekend jet-boaters like larger June does. Winter freeze hits this area hard, and the trout season ends at the latest in November up here. April is still mighty cold when it reopens... but plenty of great opportunities up here Spring through Fall.
