Stayed here for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend at site #10. The site has a fire pit, picnic table, and bear box. The sites all seemed to be on the smaller, cramped side and a bit dusty, but overall clean. Deer liked hanging around the campsites as did the wasps. The single occupancy flush toilets were clean and in good condition despite a busy weekend. They had a cleaning chart on the door so people came in frequently to clean it. Be warned: if you visit here in 2020, you will hear helicopters all day starting at 7 am. They are installing new power poles and will be all Summer. The good: nice big tables, good fire ring, easy access to water and clean restrooms. Area is pretty, and it's close to the lake. The host is very friendly and informative, and sells fire wood. The bear boxes are big and work well. Sites have pull through parking, so it's very easy to park. Most of the sites have decent shade in the daytime. Short walk to gull lake. The bad: sites are not private at all. Sitting in my site, I can see directly into no fewer than 9 other sites. It's also right off the June Lake Loop, which means cars are very audible at all hours. I was also awakened this morning by a helicopter flying very low at 7 am. It has continued running laps all day. The host informed me that they're replacing power poles with more sturdy ones. This is a good thing, but not for campers in 2020! Be warned. Overall, with the exception of the helicopters, this campground is fine. I'm giving it 4 stars because I really can't hold the helicopter noise against the campground. read more

Nice campground spot! Bathrooms are well kept with flush toilets. I believe they are kept clean by the "Camp Host", ours we're super nice and were even washing down the large trash bins! There are lots of Aspen trees for plenty of shade and tying up a Hammock. The best part is the wind blowing thru the trees! There may be Bears roaming so use the bear boxes provided to keep your food and fragranced items safe which in turn keeps you safe! Apparently some spots may be reserved and some spots are first come first served. We had reservations here and tried to move across the street to Gull Lake campground right on the water but they were all full. It's a short walk to Gull Lake where you can fish, rent boats, get fishing licences, snacks and beer! A little father is June lake and more stores and touristy shops. It's also about 30 min to the Mammoth Lakes area with lots to do there. We'll be back! Very similar to Yosemite, our favorite place! Thinking we're gonna explore here a few more times and it may become our new favorite! Only downside here... no showers. A short drive to Silver Lake Campground and your smelling good again. Or spend a couple hours at the Double Eagle Lodge with a pool and Jacuzzi... We did both! read more

Beautiful campsite. We tent camped at the beginning of June 2019. Sites are pretty average in distance to other campers. The camp host was very nice and accommodating. We stayed in site 16. This site was shaded most of the day. Very clean flush toilets but no showers. There are showers down the road at June lake marina. 2.00 for a couple minutes. This is where we went. A little pricey but well worth the shower. The area received snow well into May so the snow began to melt late in the season. Springs of water began to run through the campsite. 3 sites were closed as well as ours after being there for 4 days. I still recommend this campground. Seemed a little more woodsy compared to surrounding campgrounds. Beautiful surrounding area with all the lakes. read more

Wow. Great campground hosts at this campground. Janet and her husband are absolutely amazing. I've never seen such clean bathrooms nor have I been greeted so quickly and graciously. We were camped next to the campground host and observed them and their treatment of others. No matter the situation, they were always gracious and helpful. We went on the Labor Day weekend without reservation and thank God we got to this campground just in time before everyone else started showing up! Half of this place can be reserved and the other half is first come first serve. There were no fcfs when we arrived but luckily found a reserved spot that was a no show so with Brian's help, the campsite host, we were able to take the spot! We got there at 6am and waited for Brian to show up at 8am ish, made sure that we were quiet and respectful. Everyone started coming by around the same time until about noon. It was a sh*t show with everyone asking if were leaving soon. Quite annoying if you ask me. If you're going to come here, please be respectful and stop asking campers if they're leaving soon. Look for the camp host and DO NOT go knocking on his door in the morning! He starts walking the site around 8am so just be patient! Overall, we love camping here more than Oh ridge because there were lots of shade throughout the day! I feel like it also kind of protected us from all the smoke from the fire! Reversed Creek is a good central location to explore the June Lake Loop and some of the surrounding areas (such as Bodie and Virginia Lakes). This campground is much smaller than many others in the loop so you do not feel crowded. We chose campsite 6 because it was further back from the other sites. There is not much shade during the day time but that was fixed with a canopy! We liked the privacy and the secluded feel. It's against the foliage and aspens at the base of a hill. This particular site can fit (at the most) 2 regular sized tents. Anymore and you might feel cramped. If you are looking for a larger site I would book sites 7 and 16 together. They back up to each other and are partitioned off a bit by trees and have shade. This would be suitable for a large family or group. Overall, Reversed Creek is a great find and I would recommend this location if you decide to visit the area. read more

Clean bathrooms and water faucets close by. Big bear lockers and nice fire rings. Sites were close together. No "tent-only" section. Camp host was very nice. Lots of RVs and had a large group of noisy neighbors drinking and playing music and yelling. Although it did quiet down around 10:30pm it was loud at times and difficult to sleep (even with ear plugs). One night, two different trucks/RVs came in to set up camp around 10:30pm which meant a lot of door slamming. Also ppl locked their cars and made sure by the honking of the horn. we left early because of lack of sleep, after hiking long days in Inyo Nat'l Forest. Tuolumne "tent only" camping and Fallen Leaf Lake much better! (for quiet and campsite size). Beautiful scenery on the June Lake drive loop. read more

We stayed here for two nights in September in Campsite 11. It is a great site at the end, against a small creek! It is a spacious camp site with enough room for three tents. Close to Campsite 10, but if you are getting two sites, these two would be my recommendation! Also close to water spigot. Bathrooms were clean, running water, and flush toilet. Campsite was not that shaded, but it was no problem. Only downside this time of year was the plethora of yellowjackets. Not sure if they are around other times of the year, but they would swarm in hordes every time we cooked. read more

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. We reserved campsite #16 and were very please with the size and shade. The camp host was very welcoming and the campground is close to Gull lake and June lake so it's very convenient. The bathrooms were clean but one of the four was out of service and the bathrooms don't have toilet seat covers. Other than that we loved this campsite and would highly recommend it. As long as people don't mind there not being any showers haha read more

We enjoyed our time at this campground. You definitely feel like your camping in nature yet your so close to the town. Perfect location to camp while visit the June Lake Loop and exploring all its beautiful lakes. Not sure about the bathrooms as we were in our trailer but the campground itself was very pretty with lots of trees. *Beware is going with a motor home or trailer, there's lots of trees you'll have to navigate through. My brother in law cut a hole into the fabric in his brand new 5th wheel trailer with a branch, that was a bummer. read more

Very nice, small campground. Friendly host who offered us the opportunity to change spots if we wanted or transfer across the way to Gull Lake to be on the water. Restrooms were clean, easy access to water, nice fire pits and picnic tables. We will go back next year. read more
