My wife and I were looking for a traverse. We test drove one at another dealership and loved it. The dealership wouldn't budge on the price though. We contacted Gunn Chevrolet who went out of their way to work with us. Our salesman Jesse brought the car to us since we where unable to get to the dealership. He explained all of the features and answered all our questions. They worked with us on the price and even had a third party company install an auto dimming mirror. This mirror is not a standard option on the car but they did it at no extra cost. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and professional. They never seemed like they were trying to rip us off. I called to make an appointment for an Oil change and rotation, I was told I could just drive into their express line and wait I asked if appointments could not be scheduled as to avoid a lengthy visit. I was told most certainly, so I made an appointment for 10:15. I arrived at 10:05, informed them I had an appointment For 10:15. At 11:30 I walked around to the drop off to visually see if the vehicle was ready or being serviced, much to my surprise it was still in line behind all of the drive ups. An appointment at Gunn Service means nothing, get in line with everybody else who decided to come in at the last minute. I asked the receptionist to speak to a manager, none was available and I was asked for a cell. I drove off with NO service No one has called. I purchased a used 2018 Chevy Silverado. After I took a test drive I informed my sales guy, Alex Gonzalez, that the truck shook like crazy. He said I could always have the service dept. look at it. I loved the truck, it had the right price and all the things. I bought it. I drove it to Dallas the next weekend and took the toll way. I felt like the truck was going to fall apart on me when I got it up to 85mph on the toll way. It shook so bad ! I took it back to Gunn upon my return. I took a service manager on a ride with me. We didn't even make it out of the parking lot and he told me all my tires were bad. They all had knots in them, every tire. None the less, I still wanted to show him how bad it shook. I asked the service manager on the way back. Didn't this truck go through some kind of 52 point inspection prior to being placed on the lot, he said yes of course and anyone with have a sense, would have noticed the tires. But yet, they put that truck up for sale knowing all 4 tires were bad. Yes, they eventually replaced all 4 of my tires, but their first question was: am I still within my warranty dates? What ? You sold me a defective vehicle!!!!!!! But yes, I just bought the damn thing !!! I will never ever buy a damn thing from this dealer again. I have asked multiple times for a manager to call me. I have left messages with Alex, I have sent emails to managers, owners, co-owners, and received nothing in response. NOTHING , and it has been 2 months now !!!! read more

The owner should know what is happening with the service department. We were traveling across the US towing our 5th wheel and noticed our Chevy Silverado was getting a bit hot in New Mexico. We called ahead to Gunn to see if they could help us the next day. They had an 8:15am appointment available! We were relieved! That's the best part of the story. We arrived the next day to be told by Benjamin: "I don't know why they gave you an appointment. I don't have a diesel mechanic." We asked if anyone could just hook up to the diagnostic to see if there was a code or any indication why it was running hot. He said, "my mechanic left with that machine. We don't have one". We asked, doesn't your shop have one? He then went to the foreman in the shop and came back. "I told your symptoms to the foreman. You probably have a blown head gasket. Your truck is too old. You should just buy a new truck". He handed the keys to my husband. Noone even looked at our vehicle, turned it on, or even tried. He basically told us to leave. We are now in Louisiana. It's still driving. Just a bit hot. This was the worst experience we've ever had at a Chevy service. DO NOT take your vehicle here. And be especially beware if you are assigned Benjamin, because according to him, you should trash a perfectly good truck to buy a new one, and by the way, the service department does not own a computer diagnostic machine because the one and only diesel mechanic they had left with it! So, 4 days later, we make it to Fort Wilderness Florida. So much for a blown head gasket and "you should buy a new truck". The 2007 Chevy Silverado turbo diesel with Allison transmission doesn't fail. We just needed a little help. read more

bought a certified chevy from a different dealership & had two free oil changes at any chevrolet dealer so i came to this one to get it done. they sent me four things that needed "immediate attention". two of which were appropriate, but the other two were literally perfectly fine! i denied all services due to never trusting dealerships & their expensive prices so i got a second opinion from a family friend who is the manager at firestone. he checked the alignment & said it was completely fine, made some minor tweaks just for the heck of it since it was there but definitely NOTHING that was needing immediate attention or even something i needed to be worried about for the near future. & the cabin air filter is very simple to change, but i wanted to check it first bc i was almost certain i just had it changed when i bought the car very recently. & of course it was still VERY clean definitely not needing to be changed asap or even within the next couple months. definitely just looking to get some money out of people who are putting their trust in them. very sleazy for a dealership to do. read more

***For Service department only**** I took in my truck for a vibration in the engine. Michael told me they rode the truck for 45 minutes and they didn't notice any vibration. They also didn't know I have a GPS that recorded a ride to the back and a 3 min start. Then they rode it for 30 mins with recordings of a hard brake and fast take offs. Then when I got my truck back someone push there arm really hard into my side rest and ripped the material. I always get a service survey after my service but I never got that call. Took my car in because during the first storm we recently had my car got soaked in the front passenger side. We temporarily fixed it with tape and a towel till I could get in since the soonest availability was 2 weeks. I spent 3 hours here today for them to say it's the drain in my roof and try to charge me almost 500$ when I first got there Cody listened and agreed it was the weather strip and the door not lining up so the mechanic spends 3 hours on my car doing what? The weather strip wasn't fixed. The door still doesn't line up and after I said I wasn't paying that because that's not what's wrong with my car he goes back and looks at it and says "oh yea you're right but you don't have time" I don't have time? This place had my car for 3 hours with me sitting there when I told them the problem and what needed to be fixed. Don't listen to the person who drives the car and had to make shift temporarily fix their own car vs the guy trying to charge almost 500$ just to take apart my car to see if the issue is the drain. Let's not forget the last time we were here my husbands car was in the shop over a month and they still couldn't give us answers. So now I'm having to go back on May 24 for them to lolygag with my car again because they have suspended loaner cars unless they have it for more than 10 days. This place is a joke. I looked through the car manual to make sure it wasnt a nuissance fault and after troubleshooting and checking my oil, it was actually really low. Went to the dealership a few days later and they also found low oil. They then gave me an oil change. I've been researching cars for the past six months. This past month, I've been looking at cars at various Gunn dealerships. I chose Gunn because I take my current car to the Gunn Honda dealership for repairs. They always seemed helpful and ethical. I pre-arranged my financing with my own bank. So all I needed to do was find the right car and a dealership willing to take my money. Easy right? I went into Gunn Chevrolet on August 17th, 2011 to test drive a 2008 Honda Accord. Loved the car, decided to start paper work to purchase it. I was told by Harold and his manager (whose name I can not recall) that I would have to give them my social security number to buy the car because of the Patriot Act. That's right folks, they attempted to pull the Patriot Act car scam on me. (If you are not familiar with this scam, do an internet search on "patriot act car scam" Needless to say, I got up and left. The next morning I called Gunn Honda and Spoke with Scott Brown to find out if "The Patriot Act" scam was a Gunn dealership policy accross the board or just isolated to this particular dealership. He started off the same way Harold and his boss did, "Well, the patriot act requires it..." Once I confronted him that I know it's a scam and that the patriot act DOES NOT require cardealerships to get a persons social security number, he backpeddled and apologized saying, "You're right, we don't need it." We went in last night (11/4/2020) to look at new Chevy trucks. We we greeted by salesman Trent Williams. He was friendly, professional, and helpful. We went over the numbers with him and wanted to proceed with purchasing the truck. We were sent back to meet with one of the Finance people (Kinneth Dudley). The first thing he said to us was "what questions do you have?" We told him that we thigh he was going to give us a breakdown of the numbers and his response was "didn't your salesperson go over that with you?@ we told him that our salesperson has informed us that Finance would go over the exact breakdown of the numbers and he seemed very irritated at that point. Throughout our conversation with him, his answers were very short and he was very condescending. It was around 6pm when we meet with him and perhaps his irritation was because it was almost "quitting time." Because of his attitude, we decided to walk away and not purchase the truck. I don't think I've ever visited a dealership that did everything they could to avoid a sale. I show up to see a used truck and no one comes out. NO ONE. I see salesman zooming by in golf carts and no one comes to assist me. I should have taken that is a hint to get out of there but I called the dealership and asked for a salesman to come out. I take the truck for a test drive and decide that I needed some time to think about it. My salesman Chris tells me to take my time and to use their website to apply for financing. He then gives me his cell phone number and tells me to text him when I apply so that he can get the sale. I applied online later that evening and shot him a text to let him know. He never replied back. And I never heard back from him or anyone else at the dealership. They just left me in the dark! What's funny is that I later receive an automated survey to let them know how they did. I sent in my complaints and I received another automated email saying that they'd follow up. For $40 They always figure out what's wrong with, and give me a complete rundown of what parts need to be replaced. That being said dealerships are always the most expensive places to get work done and Gunn Chevrolet is no exception. So, I always find out what wrong with my vehicle, and shop around for a cheaper price I always find one. However I do feel that Gunn really takes care of my vehicles, I always bring my wife's SUV here for a oil change. The full service oil change runs $39 but there are always $10 coupons on their website. They do a good visual inspection, and let you know if anything is wrong. I give Gunn Cheverolet 3 stars. So I went to their dealership on a Fri afternoon. I got out of my vehicle and started to walk around and look at the SUVs. After about 10-12 minutes a young salesman walks over and asks if I had been helped. I replied no and we proceeded. Again 10-12 mins before anyone said anything to me and I parked in front of the main doors. I talked to the salesman and explained what I needed and what we had to work with. He asked me if I wanted water he must of handed me a water from storage (it was room temp). Anyway we continued and I was comfortable telling him my vehicle needs. We get to the application run my credit he tells me the possibilities and says still waiting for the results. Comes back and says my other finance guy will be here tomorrow (its only about 530p) I will also be here at eight sharp I will get an answer and we will see if u can get vehicle one or number two. Now I dont purchase vehicles that often but when I have in the past, I was never told come back tomorrow. The sales team is always trying to close the deal same day. Ok fine. Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues.....hellooooo I haven't heard a thing. Customer service is shit! I understand u aren't paid a commission (so he tells me) but damn did you not want my business? I bought a truck from the Certified preowned Gunn Chevrolet and I have regretted it ever since. they didnt do any of the point inspections they claimed they had done. battery died within a month, transmission has a weird miss when I'm driving and I think that's the reason someone traded it in and Gunn chevy failed to catch it had they done a proper inspection. driver side door handle doesnt work anymore on the outside. and even the brakes were literally less than half life left. that's dangerous and they dont care. After waiting patiently for 8-9 months to order a new Corvette, Gunn Chevrolet called to inform me they would now accept my order, but the price would be $5,000 OVER sticker price, non-negotiable. Sure, the car market's strange right now and the Corvette is in demand, but really? An extra $5,000 for giving me the privilege of placing an order with Gunn? I spoke with another Corvette owner who recently purchased a C8 from Ancira Chevrolet at sticker price - no premium. Kerbeck and MacMulkin are good options too. What Gunn did was waste my time. I'll get in the back of the line at another dealer and wait a little longer. I've already got 3 Corvettes, and don't really need another, and I'm in no rush, but the C8 is a sharp car. Of course, a Corvette is a discretionary purchase, so if a dealer gets a little greedy or cocky and opportunistically demands an extra $5,000 to ORDER a car (this is not a car in stock on their lot!), they've made it very easy to say 'No thanks!' and I'll take my business elsewhere. This wouldn't be the first new car I'd ever bought, and probably won't be the last in my lifetime, but you can probably guess how many I'll be likely to buy from Gunn after this... Hint: What is an integer less than 1? The car market will eventually return to normal, but customers treated poorly will likely never return. read more

First time using this dealership and I would never go there again. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation using a coupon that was too good to pass up. After the maintenance was completed I noticed a knocking noise coming from my front driver side tire. At first I thought it was a bad axel or cv joint. I never thought what the issue would be was when when I took off the hub cap. The tire was never tighten back on my vehicle. The very disappointing part is maintenance from a dealership should be one of the top quality maintenance services you should be receiving for your vehicle. This wasn't the case today. All I can say is that I'm very fortunate to have a little vehicle maintenance background because this vehicle is my wife's. She was planning to spend the day out with my daughters tomorrow. I'm glad I caught this because I don't know what I would have done if that tire came off while my wife was driving this vehicle. Double check your work everyone and always stay vigilant. To add more to this incident I called the dealership's service department 5 minutes before they closed and no one answered not even a manager. The sales manager I ended speaking to said that they would reach out to the services manager for an emergency call at 7 pm. It's now 8 pm and I have not received a call. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I'm more irritated at the quality of work and services I've received.
