Came in from an appointment that was scheduled by phone and mentioned 39.95 oil change and tire rotation special when appointment was scheduled. Arrived at appointment and higher price was shown on invoice. I was told discount would be applied at checkout. After car was finished higher price was still on invoice. I let them know and better price was put on invoice. Before paying the invoice I noticed there was no mention of a tire rotation. I asked about this and was told the tire rotation was done and this is how it shows on invoice with the discount I had. I went to my car to drive away and noticed that a known defect on one of my rims was in the exact same spot it has been since last rotation and knew the rotation had not been done. I questioned this with the service rep and it was found out my rotation was never done. They are currently now doing the rotation that was never done. read more

This is our go to dealership. Whenever we need anything done it's usually a quick and easy process. The past two days I've been there to get several cars serviced and the Friday I went the young man who helped me was very sweet. This Saturday was a different story. A young blonde woman was the one taking the keys and getting information. She saw me pull up and made eye contact with me. She went inside and was nowhere to be found. I stood there for a while until a mechanic stopped what he was doing to go hunt someone down to help me. After a couple of minutes he came back with the same blonde girl who ignored me originally. She had a bad attitude and did not want to help me. She left a bad taste in my mouth but other than that I've been happy with the services here. read more

I took my truck in for not running figuring the dealership can button it up properly. I was told it was the high pressure fuel pump and gave the green light. It still didn't run, so I was told it was my fuel injectors so I gave the green light. It still didn't, so then I was told my catalytic converters and y pipe were clogged. I gave the green light, it ran. I paid n 2700$ and some change and drove it away. One week later my truck has a dead cylinder and blew oil everywhere from an oil cooler line that rubbed on the harmonic balancer, come to find out they did know about the first time it was there. I dropped it off the 15th for the second time when I was told about the lifter on cylnder 4. My consultant Mike told me he would call the following day letting me know what the damage would be. One and a half week later I had to call to get an update only to find out no one has even looked at my vehicle, stating THIS technician is the only one he TRUSTS to work on it. So gunn chevrolet has had my truck the better part of 2 months now with absolutely nothing done. I no longer trust dealerships service. And the customer service has been less than exceptional as well with no updates throughout the week and a half. Mind you I did purchase this truck brand new from gunn chevrolet in November of 2014 as well. read more

Bought certified used. Took in to have a few things fixed like gash in the sidewall of my tire. Got it back a week later and nothing was fixed. Then took it back and tell me some of this would be out of my pocket after being told they would make it right. What is the point of a warranty at this place. We bought a used truck last week at Gunn Chevrolet after doing an internet search. The truck was a 2016 with 7000 miles. We were given the Carfax and saw it had had two owners which was worrisome. We asked for the Autocheck. The sales manager told us they did not have it. (Lie #1.) He then said they could get it but not print a copy. (Lie #2) Amazingly when we said we would not buy without it they were able to get a copy and print it! We took the truck to our mechanic who told us the right side of the truck had been repainted. We took it back. There was a 48 hour guarantee. They told my husband they could not refund to our credit card for the money we had charged (lie #4) Which they eventually did. The salesperson was knowledgeable and polite. The sales manager out right lied, more than once. AVOID. There are plenty of good dealerships in the area. read more

I brought my Chevrolet Silverado in on Friday afternoon on my way out of town. I had made an appointment for my regular dealership but when I arrived they told me that it would be a 2 hour wait just to get my truck in. I didn't have time for that. I stopped into Gunn with no appointment and explained what I needed. They had me in and out within an hour. The people were very friendly. The dealership itself is also very nice with lots of refreshments and snack options, while you wait. I will make the drive to Selma from now on to get my truck serviced. read more

This was a visit back to the Service Lane for an issue that I had just brought the vehicle in for. I must say that after establishing the valid issue that my vehicle wasn't repaired, I was treated fairly. I was put in a loaner vehicle and there was minimal inconvenience to me. The service lane person I dealt with (Chris) was very nice and for the most part, kept me informed. The repair took a little longer than expected, but when I received my vehicle back, the problem (oil leak) was repaired to my standard. I submitted a negative review of Gunn Chevrolet from that previous experience and received a call back regarding my experience from the Director of Service. Gunn Chevrolet only gets three stars from this customer. And only because the salesman was fantastic. We went in to look at cars and no one came out to help us, even after coming back a second time to see if they would come out. Now I get annoyed by being overbothered by salespeople as much as the next person but to not even be offered help once is very annoying. So after caving and walking all the way up to the building the new guy (new salesman) came to answer our questions about a new vehicle. We got there at 6pm ALREADY financed through another company and were STILL WAITING for the manager to give us an offer at 9 when we gave up for the night and left. So after another two hours two days later, they finally came through but I have NEVER had to wait more than three total hours to buy a car, it was ridiculous. The salesman was superb though, even being new he knew his stuff and got the best deal he could so he earned the three stars all alone! UPDATE: I am changing my rating to a 5 star. After realizing that we had had such difficulties on the wait time, Gunn went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I would definitely recommend them in the future to anyone who wants to receive not only the best customer service from their salesmen up front, but when something doesn't go as desired they do everything that they can to fix it. Scheduled an appointment for 8am. Dropped off my truck at 7:50am to a service guy who was not my assigned service guy (Benjamin Guffey) because he was unavailable. I told them I had an oil leak identified and should be covered under extended warranty; also provided necessary paperwork for extended warranty. Was told I should hear something by 11am, but after calling at 1pm, my service guy Benjamin Guffey was unavailable again because he was out to lunch. Mr Guffey called me back at 1:28 to apologize that his lunch hour had changed to a sooner time. Then proceeded to tell me that the oil leak was because I needed new valve cover gaskets and would be $400 (not a bad price but still high). Also new in cabin air filter and engine air filters.. After he asked if I was good with price and if they should proceed. I reminded about extended warranty! I reminded that they made a copy of documents and then he surprisingly seen such document and said he would call me back. I recieced a call back at 3:36pm stating that warranty would cover said repairs but since it took so long to locate parts (head gaskets which were available at Advance Auto for $21.99 in stock) I would not get my truck back until next day. Would not recommend Gunn Chevrolet Service and since this is not how the place really makes money, really would think twice about purchasing here as they cannot follow-up. read more

Unbelievable customer service! My family and I were sideswiped by an 18-wheeler on the interstate around Temple. The accident knocked off our side mirror. We were on our way to San Antonio at the beginning of our Spring Break trip. I called Gunn's Service Department and was told that they had the mirror and to pull up in the Express Lane. Two men were waiting for us, got the mirror replaced and we were on our way in less than 45 minutes! Couldn't ask for better service!
