However, after completing the transaction, I received only $0.10 off. I showed the clerk the app's display, and we both took screenshots. The clerk said she would report the issue to her team leader and recommended I do the same. When I contacted the corporation, they explained that a system glitch caused the app to display the $1 discount in error. To address this, they offered compensation of $0.15 off. I explained that if the app displayed the amount, whether in error or not, it should be honored. According to their policy, they never made an award for that amount, and do not have to honor the price. I feel devalued as a customer and taken advantage of. They did offer to increase the award amount to $0.25, but still very dismissive of my concern. Given that we are in a crisis with the price of gas, the dismissive attitude was unappreciated.

So I went back to the cashier where I paid and told the manager (I think) that I was not able to press anything then the machine said "thanks for shopping with us!" But I didn't get any gas in at all. Then he said he would put in $5 for the different number section. So I went to put gas in but why did I get $5 when I paid for $10? After I went to get the car wash, I went back in again because maybe there was some misunderstanding. I told him maybe he misunderstood me and I misunderstood him since I'm hard of hearing. And he yelled at me saying that I owed him $5. I don't understand why I owed him $5 when I paid $10 and only got $5 worth of gas! I'm not happy with this especially with him yelling at me in front of other customers behind me. Very rude and I won't be coming back again.

But the owner is rarely in the store. They do everything possible not to issue the refund. If you are an out of towner you are out of luck. I called many times, and made several trips to get the refund. Sometimes they hang up and sometimes they don't pick the telephone at all if they know you calling about a refund. After about ten calls and four trips, they gave me partial refund. Very unethical business.
