Worst experience! My Audi S5 was backed into by a large…read moretruck, had front end damage and was not drivable. I had it towed to The Ultimate Paint Shop as I was told that is where the Audi Exchange in Highland Park sends vehicles for body work. The truck that hit me had State Farm and they agreed to cover the damage. After about 8 weeks and $16,000 they told me to come pick up my vehicle. I had someone drop me off and went in to get it. It looked really nice on the outside and had a full detail. Problem started when I got in and started to drive off. The car was pulling to the left...hard. So I brought it back and asked them to come for a test ride with me. They did and agreed with me that something was not right. I asked if anyone had taken the car for a test ride before releasing it to me in this unsafe condition. I got no answer. So now I had to take an Uber home as my ride had left and no one was willing to drive me. Problems continue; Apparently my car that was hit in the front end had additional damage that was not discovered as part of the initial inspection, the supplemental inspection and insuring repairs including adjusting or making sure the sensors were all working correctly. No one had noticed that the control rod or alignment was off. Not sure how anyone in this business would not notice that. I noticed it right away within a minute of driving it and I have no car experience at all. So now 2 more weeks later State farm is not going to cover this claim as it seems no one had talked to them about it and they thought I had taken the car home and brought it back days later. When I spoke with the adjuster at The Ultimate Shop she told me that there was nothing they could do. State Farm had now denied this part of the claim and they would not call them. They told me that they had sent over all the pictures and estimates and after that they wash their hands is it. Told me that I NEEDED to calm State Farm to get this resolved. So I asked the owner of The Ultimate Paint Shop to call me to discuss this. She called me back several days later and told me the same thing. Another week goes by and I have called State Farm many times I get the claims person who tells me they are not going to cover and I need to return my rental. At the next day. A few days later I call again and eventually get a manager on the phone who tells me that they will cover it but that they don't have any pictures and no estimate for repairs. She tells me she will call The Ultimate Paint Shop to get that information. Another week goes by and State farm gets the estimate that I sent them but still no pictures from The Ultimate Paint Shop. They are asking me why I drove the car home if it had front end alignment issues. I tell them I did not. They say they will have to investigate more. I eventually call my own insurance company who agreed to cover this damage that The Ultimate Paint Shop had failed to repair as part of the damage and they will just fight State Farm over it. So in conclusion The Ultimate Paint Shop told me that they had screwed up and delivered a car to me that was not road worthy but was not willing to do anything about it. After all they already had their $16,000.00 check
