Woohoo! As good as it gets! Jeff and his team did a fantastic comprehensive body restoration and repaint on our 1967 Camaro RS/SS convertible. They stripped the car down to bare metal, replaced and fitted damaged body panels and applied a first class paint finish that is really eye-popping. They went above and beyond by also repainting the trunk and engine compartment and a number of other small details that really make the car stand out. Our car was in need of fixing, and we brought it here based im the good reviews and prices. While the prices were good, I was very disappointed in the customer service. When I arrived to drop the car off, there was no staff up front to help me. I waited 15 minutes before someone came from the back to assist. She was friendly, so I let the incident slide. I was never told how long it would take to get the car back. I called to inquire, to which I was told that they "did not know" when I could get the car back. It was all very frustrating. I just called again as I was told the car was finished, and I did not get an answer. I had two other people in my family call before we received an answer telling us that they could not help us get the car back before the holiday weekend began. That means four more days without my car. The price of rentals is annoying at this point. I don't know if I am more annoyed at the time this is all taking or the lack of any empathy or help in their end to make this work. A little compromise goes a long way, but they wouldn't help. I don't recommend anyone else to this company after having experienced this. Id rather pay a little more for someone to help me as best they can. read more

Words of advice, take your car to a place that's affiliated with your insurance. The insurance will ensure that you get your car back in a working condition. My mistake was taking to this shop; which is not affiliated with my Geico. The net result is that it cost me $950 for Lexus to mechanically fix the car I got back from this shop. Apparently, it is NOT reasonable to expect your car back in the same working mechanical condition as when you given it to Sudden Impact. . My car had no check engine light (CEL). Sudden Impacts was doing only body repairs. The shop kept the car for about two weeks, and moved the car around the shop multiple times. At no time I was told that there is any problem with the engine. . On the day of the pickup, the battery warning light was on when I first started the car. THE EXCUSE given was the low battery. I was sent on my way with the advice to just drive for 30 minutes and the warning should go away. . THE BLAMING: I returned to the shop 2-minutes after I left the parking lot when other CELs started to pop up. The headlights were not working properly. Jeff blamed everything on the 3yr old battery and shove me on my way again. The burden was on me to troubleshoot the problem with a new battery. . THE BLAMING AGAIN: More things started to fail and more CELs appeared as the car is driven more. Auto-door-locking, heated seats, etc. stopped working. Jeff claimed over the phone that except for the battery warning due to my "expired" battery, the car had no problem when he gave it back. Which is a different story from my dashcam, which showed that a couple of hours the delivery, the shop was trying to address a host of CELs on the dashboard. The shop simply cleared the CELs from the car ECU right before giving the car back to me. Everyone knows that clearing the CELs doesn't fix the actual problem. . It's a good thing that I had the car repaired with Lexus; it would have left me stranded if driven long enough. By simply observing the classic symptoms, the Lexus technician theorized that it can be the alternator. With a simple volt meter and less than 30-secs, he showed me why the battery is still good. Within another 60-seconds, he confirmed his theory and showed me how he knows the alternator is dead. His theory was that the old alternator was pushed over the edge from a battery that was critically drained from the two weeks in the body shop and the multiple starts/stops without keeping the car running to charge the battery up. . The DODGING: When confronted with this info, Jeff stuck to his original story and insisted that it's the "expired" battery and the car was fine when he gave it back to me. He declared that he got nothing to do with the dead alternator; it must be because the car is old and it just happens to die by coincidence. Geico couldn't help because the shop is not affiliated with Geico, and the mechanical damage was not part of the body repair, so it's between me and the shop. . The net is that you can't count on this shop. $950 is not a huge amount of money for me. But there are just so many disappointments from how the shop handled the situation. (1) the shop sent me back on the road knowing fully well that the car was damaged. (2) blaming without evidence; it could have taken Jeff 30-seconds to confirm if it's a bad battery, instead he blamed the 1st thing he can (the battery) to shove me out the door again (3) the deceit of insisting my car was fine except the dashcam showed otherwise (4) not experienced enough to recognize classic symptoms of a dead alternator and sent me on the road with a high probability of being stranded (5) did not care enough for the customer's car or was not experienced enough to trickle charge the battery when they have a car for a week or more. That'd avoid damaging cars with potentially weaker alternators like mine. . A business' true character is exposed under duress conditions. Ask yourself then if you ever want a business like this to have your back when a problem arises. read more

I came to Sudden Impact Collision Center based on good reviews after a horrible car accident where I was rear ended at the stop which cause a chain reaction so both the front and the back of my car had bad damage. Everyone seemed nice and professional, promised that the car will look great after the repairs are done. After we picked up the car it looked good but after driving it home we noticed that the front bumper is crooked and had popped out on the both sides. We brought the car back to Sudden Impact Collision and they said they will take care of the problem, what they actually did is just pushed the bumper back in place and send us on our way. The problem started then, and they weren't nice anymore because they have already collected their check of $11k. We went back to them the second time, same thing happened, they told me to leave the car there and they will correct the problem. Well, when I came to pick up the car it looked fine but after driving the car home the bumper had moved again and was crooked. We went back again upset because we figured out that they are not fixing the problem but just popping the bumper back in place. We were taking our car there total of 4 times, on the third return for the SAME problem Ken got very mean and loud and he said "what do you expect, this is Toyota not a Mercedes Benz "!!! I was shocked, so if you work with Toyota then it's ok to do such a bad repair????Why didn't you say that because I have a Toyota you will do a crappy job fixing it when I brought my car to your shop for repair??? At that point we no longer wanted to deal with Ken and asked for the owner. The owner told us that we need to leave our car with them AGAIN for the 4th time because they need to order new clamps to hold the bumper. They couldn't have done it the first time we returned? They waisted tons of my time and continue Lie to me that they fixed the problem. Till this day my bumper is crooked and I have to pop it back in place ALL THE TIME!!!! Highly recommend this place. I had bumper and front grill damage and they were able to not only fix it but you can't even tell there was any damage in the first place. I took two cars to Sudden Impact for body work. Ken was extremely friendly, courteous and explained everything to me so that I could make an informed decision. On top of that, prices were very fair and reasonable. The work the crew did was fantastic and was completed on time! To make life easier, Sudden Impact has an account with a rental car company around the corner. A nice mid-size rental car was only about $20 or $21 per day. If I need to have any work again on my cars, I would definitely go back to Sudden Impact. read more

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. My teenager fought with a trailer hitch, and lost. The front bumper was pulled off of our 2003 Honda minivan. We were given a thorough estimate and were told that, while some extra items might be needed for repair, they would keep it as cost effective as possible and would consult us before any additional work would be completed. The 17 year old, who was paying for the repair, was very grateful for that. They did an amazing job looking for the most reasonably priced parts. When it was discovered that, along with a cracked wiper fluid reservoir, that some of the connecting wires had pulled loose causing the fluid not to discharge, they spent extra time poking and prodding to make sure that the wipers and fluid (front and back) were working. In the end, even with the extra time and effort, the final price was $10 over the estimate. Even though I hope that I don't need to use them any time soon, I will only go back to this shop if body work is needed. read more
