I was really happy to come here and finally try the restaurant out especially when I've gone to so many of the neighboring restaurants. The service was friendly, but I was left a little disappointed by my plate. Not to say it wasn't okay, but it left me wanting more, as if something was missing or something. I normally hate giving 1 star reviews but honestly, this place deserves it. It began with our party trying to find a place to eat after an event last Saturday. All the places in downtown doral were packed as you can imagine on a Saturday early afternoon, since every restaurant was full and we were pressed for another event we decided to pick the only place that was completely empty. (Should've been a big red flag) so we ended up going here. Party of 9 ppl, we come in and of course we're seated right away because we were the only ones there. The waiter comes and offers drinks, we order, ect so far so good. The. We start ordering, we ordered basic appetizers: charcuterie board and some cheese sticks. The order comes and we have one cheese stick order missing and the charcuterie board comes with the OLDEST meats and cheese in existence! The prosciutto was as stiff as a bark! You could snap it in half! And it was burnt from being i exposed in the cold. Pretty sure they got it from a brontosaurus. We sent it back and 5 min later a lady comes saying they got fresh one cut. We denied due to the fact that you knew you had fresh but still you decided to give us old meat and be slick. No thanks! Then the order(facepalm). I order the goat cheese omelet. The egg was over cooked, tasteless and they had placed a huge goon of goat cheese enough to overpower the entire dish. Felt like I was just eating goat cheese straight out. Then some of the party ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The salmon wasn't smoked and it was packed fully cooked! The English muffins were burnt! Another person ordered the short rib, it was so tasteless! It just tasted like eggs. Also, the service was Terrible We even bother with dessert. I decided to try to this place when I was sitting in the insufferable traffic of doral and I was glad I did. The restaurant is contemporary and inviting. I did Happy hour here and it was good. I sat at the bar and the chairs were super comfy. The ambience was nice. They played house music in the background at an agreeable volume that doesn't interrupt your conversation. They have food and drinks specials from 4-8pm (Monday-saturdays.) I had a couple of cosmos and they were Delish. Bartenders were fast and hospitable. They were also knowledgeable on their menu. I had a bruschetta with prosciutto and it was yummy. While I didn't get to have dinner here, I did look over their menu and saw that they are an Italian restaurant with a lot of variety. I plan to come back for dinner and more happy hours. There is street parking and additional parking in the garage in the back. read more

I do not believe i will go to this restaurant again. When we went it was empty in the middle of the weekend, that should have been a sign for us. Although the server was nice it took forever, the plates of food are so tiny and the food was tepid, not hot at all. Someone ordered the ravioli and what they were served was ridiculous, about 5 small pieces. High end restaurants tend to not be as generous in their servings but this was ludicrous. Checking out a new Italian restaurant in town! I really liked the modern ambiance at this place. It didn't seem too busy on a midweekday night, so there were plenty of indoor/outdoor/bar seats around dinner time. The menu's not extensive, but it covered a decent range of appetizers, pastas/entrees, and pizzas. I went with a friend and we ordered a Pate de Foie Gras to start. It came with bread and marmalade, so there was a nice mix of sweet and salty flavors once everything was combined. We also ordered the Arrocito Del Mar, which was very similar to a paella. It had a mix of seafood, including shrimp, octopus, calamari, mussels, and clams in the rice -- and the rice was reasonably moist, but not overly so. This entree was pretty flavorful. Lastly, we tried the Pizza Margherita, standard pie with tomato sauce and mozzarella. It was all right. Maybe slightly oilier/saltier than I would've personally liked, but still decent. Oh, and it's a thin crust, if it matters to know. There were several other pizzas with more toppings to choose from. This review is based on a Friday Happy Hour! I went with my friends for happy hour and this place had a whole page filled with cocktails, wines, and beers that you can get half off the price. Food is not in the happy hour. We decided to sit down on the bar, the chairs were comfortable. The inside decoration was beautiful, they have a seating area also outside which with this weather nowadays is just wonderful. I went to Gustos because two weeks ago I passed by and it looks so beautiful that I decided to try it. I had a caipirinha and my friends had mojitos. The best we have had. We all loved our drinks, plus the bartender was just sensational, very welcoming Helpful and made our drinks just perfect. The first time we came to this restaurant, i thought everything was delicious which is why we decided to come with our daughters. Not sure what changed but it wasn't as good. My daughter and I ordered Pappaedelle allá Bolognese and I swear to you it tasted like chef boyardee. It was nasty. We didn't send it back but it was like eating spaghetti out of can. Then my husband got the Ravolis which had no flavor what so. ever. Our other daughter got Pasta Cabonara and it was pure oil. The appetizer was the only thing that was good. We dined at Gusto Ristobar for Miami Spice and it was very disappointing. I chose this restaurant because I thought the menu looked great and was sad that I was mistaken. The 3 of us ordered from Miami Spice. Appetizers were ok. The Arancini was good but was Luke warm. It was almost as if they were frozen and not warmed/fried for enough time. We did enjoy the Burrata with the guava balsamic reduction. We ordered a different entree from the Miami spice. Menu. My boyfriends had the Lamb Chops and they were great, cooked well and good flavor. My Sea Bass was ok, the salad was overwhelmed with capers and was too bitter for my taste. The most disappointing part was my mother in laws risotto. Risotto is suppose to be al dente, but the rice in this dish was not cooked. It was inedible and very disappointing. I mentioned it to the waiter and they offered to give us a complimentary espresso. Kind, but not what should have been offered. Dessert was also disappointing. The Tiramisu was probably the worst I've ever had. It was plated on a bowl and was mostly the mascarpone filling that tiramisu typically consists of. The coffee and lady fingers were completely missing from this dish. It's a good looking place and service was good. Unfortunately this restaurant was not worth the $210 we spent on 3 people, even with Miami Spice. read more

I visited Gusto at the Doral location on September 19,2020. This was my second time coming to this restaurant. The Customer experience Was very disappointing. We were left there as if we had no waiter. I had to waive down other people in order to get my order for entree in. The last order I made was for dessert and coffee and the check. That never came. The waiters and waitresses stood there looking and pointing at our table as they talked, not sure about what. Still, no one came. I had to waive down one of the girls to cancel my dessert and coffee order and just bring me the check. I was there last Friday and the bartender, Juan really took care of me. I travel for a living and my favorite cocktail is a Zacapa Old Fashioned, I ordered one and honestly it was the best in the area. If I could ask (improve) for two things they would be: 1. Really good ice (big clear ice cubes) and 2. Sugar cubes instead of regular granulated sugar. A good bar starts with a good mixologist and Juan is definitely one.
