BUT, it's always a joy to shop small and shop local and get that whole local-neighborhood-feels fix. Crockett Street Bottle Shop offers just that. There's not a huge assortment of goods here, but they have your basics covered and you're not going to leave here with anything of poor quality. You'll spend a few extra bucks on the essentials; Maker's Mark, Fireball, Deep Eddy Vodka. The little wine cellar is really pretty and cozy, but don't come looking for bottles under $10 -- you're looking at $15 and up. And it's for the best, of course! I found some really lovely and not-so-common bottles of cab that I can't wait to buy more of. Nice sized walk-in cooler/beer cave/whatever you want to call it that has a pretty stellar variety for such a tiny store. The staff is great. Two Saturday ago, I asked if they could order me a box of H. Upmann Añejo magnums. Much to my surprise, they ordered two boxes, and I quickly purchased one of them. They have won me over as a customer. The staff is very friendly, and I could tell they were genuinely happy to make me an extremely satisfied customer.
