They were rolling out a brand new computer system that day, so ordering took longer than expected and the staff seemed a bit lost with it. We didn't mind waiting -- new systems take time to learn. When the food came out, my friend's pasta had mushrooms while mine didn't. After trying his, mine tasted completely bland. I grew up eating very very simple foods, so for ME to notice the lack in flavor/salt means something. Other than that, im sure you're already expecting it based on the location, but parking is horrendous. We probably spent 20 minutes looking for parking, so be aware of that during the weekend or be prepared to do a lot of walking. Total: ~$40 Tip: Parking can be difficult, consider takeout. This place is a combination of piping hot, filling, tasty pasta in gigantic portions. This isn't the place to neatly pile a tiny fork turned spiral of pasta on your plate and call it art. No, this is a no fuss, no frills restaurant that serves affordable, tasty, cooked to order, plates filled with pasta. The pros: delicious, affordable, very laid back vibe, generous portions (you will be stuffed if you eat a whole plate/bowl of pasta. Stuffed!!!). They are also accommodating as I asked for the chicken pesto pasta made with fettuccine to be swapped out for penne pasta and extra pesto sauce (hence tons of sauce on my plate and the pesto was so intense and not skimpy like lots of other restaurants anytime pesto sauce is used -- that includes sandwich shops, also.) and they happily obliged, no problem. The food came out piping hot and stayed hot for quite a while. They give you a slice of garlic bread with a real, caramelized bulb of garlic. I had to ask for my friend's garlic cause I like it just that much. Their side salad is also huge and is best to maybe split it with a dining partner because it is big enough to feed at least 2 people. If you ate the whole small side salad, you'd have very little room for pasta. Just saying. The cons: they don't offer glasses of water. Nope. If you are thirsty or want something to drink with your food, you need to look in the beverage case and buy what you want to drink. I find that a tad bit uncool/sus, but they are very generous otherwise. So, I will just buy a drink next time. Lol. They are not skimpy on the protein in the pasta, so I can't complain. You will bus your own table at this place. You will be eating in a room filled with other people eating and talking loudly. If you are neurodivergent and maybe loud sounds or noises or talking bothers you, bring your earphones and try to listen to a podcast or music while you eat. The sound of others can be distracting at times as it can get very loud in the small-ish restaurant. So, this place is perfect for students, runners needing to carbo load (is that still a thing?), people on a budget, or anyone that just loves homestyle Italian food. No, you aren't going to find Iberic pork here or fancy plates of Osso Bucco or fresh shaved parmesan slowly sliced over your plate. Nope. But you will find delicious, hot, filling, huge plates of pasta with bold comforting flavors, cooks that have a way with working their magic over the stove where you see flames leaping up from time to time as they cook, and a chaotic looking but super organized kitchen crew. Oh, and the cashier, main guy, he is going to put a fork in your plate for you. I know, that sounds trippy. But like I said, this place is very in your face, it is all about good food and good quantities of it, at an affordable price.
