I tend to really enjoy fusion style restaurants, and Saucy Asian is no exception. Located practically right next to the AMC theater, this place is the perfect after-movie meal. The staff was super nice and the food came out pretty quickly. There was also plenty of space to sit, which was very ideal. My boyfriend and I decided to try three things: the kimchi burrito, the ddeokbokki, and the saucy asian bowl. I thought the kimchi burrito was so delicious! I added bulgogi, which was very well seasoned and savory. They definitely mean it when they say "saucy," as they loaded my burrito up with yummy cream and kimchi aioli. I would absolutely get this again. My boyfriend's saucy asian bowl was a much lighter option, but was scrumptious nonetheless. He got the soy chicken, which paired so well with the japchae noodles and the fresh slaw. I was also super pleased with this! Finally, the ddeokbokki was such a yummy side dish. The rice cakes were nice and chewy, and the sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. If you love rice cakes, this is definitely for you. Overall, I loved our meal here! This quick serve Asian bowl restaurant was easy and convenient for a quick lunch while visiting the area. My hotel was across the street and I was able to take my food to go and eat it in my room. There is one digital pad for ordering and the couple ahead me where taking their time so, A staff member took my order at the counter. He was friendly and lightly offended that I didn't want the kimchi that typically comes on the meal. We agreed to put it on the side and I would try it, which I did. I am just not a fan of Kimchi. I didn't realize the bowl has lettuce, Noodles and rice (mainly rice) so the lettuce was a bit of a surprise. So much potential, but I was disappointed somewhat with the amount of food for the price that you are paying. I feel like isn't really up to par. I think if it was less I wouldn't be as disappointed, with that said, the food is delicious but I didn't really like that it had spring greens in it. I think the bowl would've been just fine without it and I didn't really read the entire description just because I've been to so many other places like this and got these types of bowls before. Came here before catching a movie and, after reading so many glowing reviews, I felt like I had stepped into the Twilight Zone because my experience was completely different. I ordered the Island Poke Bowl, which was mostly greens. The salmon and tuna were still slightly cold, giving me the impression that they hadn't been fully thawed. It did not taste particularly fresh. We also tried the Asian Bowl. While it arrived warm, it was another miss. After going most of the day without a proper meal, I was expecting something more satisfying and filling, but both bowls left me hungry. The bright spot was the service. The staff was super friendly! Despite the high reviews pretty disappointed with the experience here. Menu is simple enough to read with variety of things and enough customization (of proteins) so something for everyone. Lots of seating both inside and outside. We got here a bit after 7:30ish and took a few minutes to get our order - which came out all at once and was piping hot. As I was slurping my noodles at around 7:50 they came around and said that they were closing firmly at 8:00pm. So we grabbed our food and went outside but they said we couldn't sit outside either and had to leave the Saucy premises. Luckily the Barnes and Nobles tables were available so I could take the extra 5 minutes to finish my food. Overall the food was okay, I liked the fries; my ramen was overpriced. But not being told as we were ordering that we'd have 12 minutes to eat our food before we are kicked out is inconsiderate. Also we got a bottle of soju but no cups and seemed really put out to have to give us a few paper cups .... do people just drink soju out of the bottle like it's an individual bottle of soda? Haven't had Korean/Mexican fusion in quite a while so I was excited to get a kimchi burrito for dinner! It was super easy to order from the kiosk and customize what you needed. Wish they did have a kids menu of some sort but we were able to order some appetizers for them. The pricing could be a little bit more proportional though - the bowl seemed like way less meat than the burrito. My burrito was delicious though. I loved all the flavors and the salsa and chips that came with it! It could've had a touch less sauce but at least it wasn't dry! Been here twice because my favorite item here is the kimchi burrito! It's so flavorful and delicious. The kimchi flavor with all the burrito characteristics just work so perfectly well together! The people working here is always nice and welcoming. You can order with the worker or on the kiosk. I like that the soda drinks you can fill yourself. Some of their entrees are good for sharing, e.g. wings. They have a variety of spice options, I'm more in the middle of the pack. It's not a new concept but it gets the job done, it'd probably be more considered casual/fast food compared to some of other sitdown restaurants in the complex. You can order on a touchscreen kiosk or at the counter with a human. They also have a variety of soft drinks, Asian soft drinks, beers, sake and soju to choose from. I've ordered from them on DoorDash, I've also dined in. Some of their dishes taste better for dine-in, the fries will eventually get soggy with all the sauce. It's not the best Korean food I've ever had, but it gets the job done when you're hungry and in the area.
