I want to start off by saying that the man in this truck has got to be one of the nicest humans in the whole world! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and so nice!! He even gave us a sample baklava (and it was the best baklava I've had in a hot minute!) To be honest, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this spot because not only are the prices so good for the amount of food and lower compared to other places, the food also tastes AMAZING. I mean, the chicken gyro was flavorful, saucy, and loaded with the right amount of toppings. The chicken itself was tender and juicy and I did not have ANY bad bites. Did I mention that the pita is also scrumptious?? It's soft and acts as a perfect vessel for the meat. I came here with my friend and we split 3 chicken gyros between the both of us. I think that was a perfect amount of food but one gyro is definitely filling on its own as well! Anyways, I would totally recommend checking this place out. This was my first time at Gyro Corner, and I have to say, it exceeded all expectations! The owner was incredibly professional, super nice, and so personable that it felt like we had known each other for years. The customer service alone made the experience memorable. The price was amazing, especially for the amount of food we received. We mentioned that we've tried other food trucks in the area and named a few, but Gyro Corner stood out in every way. The quality of the food was outstanding--everything was so fresh. You can tell the veggies are cut fresh daily, and the ingredients are top-notch. It's clear that care and quality go into every dish. I've tried a lot of gyro food trucks, but this one is probably the best I've ever had. If I had to pick between all of them, Gyro Corner would be my choice, hands down. The lighting in my photo doesn't do this food justice, but this place was good... like.. GOOD good. The man who helped us was polite, welcoming, and got our food out in under ten minutes. The combo platter was $15 and let's just say they are not rationing not one bit! It was filling and I barely put a dent in it.. this is coming from someone that can eat too! What a hidden gem! This guy deserves an award. The bowls were sooooooo good. I got the steak and we also got the chicken. The steak was ok, a bit salty. But the chicken was phenomenal! On top of that, the guy in charge was so friendly and truly cares about his customers. Pro tip: call ahead to order so you don't have to wait. To the guy who helped me out today: You were right, I did enjoy your food! Took my coworker out for lunch we decided on Gyro Corner as it's always a good meal. I ordered the chicken platter and it was great! Very flavorful, fresh, and filling. I usually get at least 2 meals out of it. Nice salad component, rice, chicken, pita, and fries. There is a sour cream base suace and another flavored sauce drizzled on top. On our way home and we seen this gyro truck parked on florin so we pulled over to give it a try! Pretty solid food truck if you ask me! The Gyros are bomb! The cook was really nice and gave us some fries that were soooooo good! They didnt make it home! my pic doesnt do the gyro justice, chunks of yummy meat and the sauce is to die for! The food was okay, nothing spectacular. The combo plate had lamb and chicken. The rice was flavorless, and a little on the hard side. The chicken was okay, I wasn't impressed with the flavor. The lamb gyro was better than the chicken. I also got the salad with chicken and the fries with chicken. Personally wasn't feeling the chicken and wish I got a different meat bc it just made all the plates not great bc of it. The sauce didn't really add any extra flavor either. They were out of the steak which I wanted to try. The lady in the truck was kind of rude which also didn't help. I asked her a question and she responded with a little snappy attitude. Personally I'm not really interested in customer service especially from a food truck, I more so care about how the food taste, but the food wasn't amazing and the ladies attitude didn't really help so I definitely wouldn't come back to try it again. read more

I have passed this truck multiple time. I would never think to stop at a truck parked in the corner of a major street and a gas station. I only eat from trucks when there is nothing else to eat, say at an event, fair, or festival. I saw my wife and daughter bringing home Greek food all the time. I never ate it, not because I didn't want it, because they did not want to share it. The smell was amazing. Then one day my daughter said we found what you're looking for. Really? I was on the hunt for Sacramento's Best French fries for a project at work. I went to meet with the owner and saw exactly how he made them. I did not want any because I had just eaten. I could not resist once I got home. I seriously could not stop eating them. They had spices, sauces, vegetables, protein, and of course the best crinkle type French fries with the perfect amount of seasonings and crunch. I can see how they have been awarded Sacramento's Best Fries in 2024. I now will stop by or order them anytime I am in the mood, not simply just at events. read more

I pass by this food truck all the time and decided to stop by and give them a try. I ordered a lamb gyro with fries. The gyro was huge and loaded with meat. It also had lettuce, red onion, pepperoncinis,cucumber, and a tzatziki sauce that tasted great. The gyro bread was soft but not soggy. Year after year the quality and service declined, and eventually I stopped going. I rarely order delivery, but wings sounded good and Fire Wings is the closest to me, so I gave it another shot for old times sake. I have dined in at the midtown location before and it's fine, fast casual and usually busy late night. Today, I ordered the 10 wing combo with plain fries. Hot take, but I've never liked their seasoned fries. They always feel overcooked and oily to me. I got mango habanero and lemon pepper, added five extra fire wings, and an extra ranch. The total would've been $38, but I had a $10 off coupon, so it came out to $28 before tip. Still expensive, but that's delivery pricing these days, not really the restaurant's fault. What is their fault is the size of these wings. Look at the photos, they were like toothpicks. I used to love Fire Wings because they served good quality wings with a lot meat on them. These had to have had less than an ounce of meat each. And it wasn't just a few of them, like 80% of the order was undersized. I honestly feel like they might have set aside a bunch of small wings for delivery orders, because the last time I dined in they were not this ridiculously small. The fries were whatever, basically standard frozen fries. I do remember that they used to give a ton of seasoned fries back in the day, but it looks like they also skimp on fries as well these days. The ranch was just okay, nothing special. The mango habanero was solid, one of my favorite wing flavors. Lemon pepper was just okay. And the fire flavor, which is supposed to be spicier than regular buffalo, tasted exactly like regular buffalo. This will be the last time I give Fire Wings my business. I have to accept they just aren't what they used to be. At this point I'd honestly take Wingstop over them for bigger wings and better sides. It's a shame, because the one thing Fire Wings always had going for them was their range of flavors.

I got the mild because at hot chicken places mild is more like an actual hot anywhere else, but it was exactly what I was craving- very good crunch, moist, and spicy. The tenders themselves were just as good, and the house sauce was super good as well, went perfectly with the spicy chicken- it was less mayoey than roosters, but not in a bad way, it may have been thicker too. Lastly the fries, they had an amazing crunch, definitely some of the best fries in the Sac area, super super crispy and seasoned super well to go with the sauce. Definitely give this place a shot if you're craving fried chicken, or even just some good fries. We will be back at some point, probably for another Sac concert.

The loaded toys and the fried zucchini were my fave with the sliders being a close second. This is a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. I stuck with a vodka soda and my friend sipped on a custom drink. Not sure what it was called, but it was red and my friend really enjoyed it. Not only were we lucky to experience the gay men's choir incredible singing talent, but they also did a full on dance routine to an *NSYNC song. Truly a masterful performance! We were looking for a spot still open at 10pm on a Thursday that had food and drinks and that wasn't a chain. Bear Dive was the perfect choice! It ended up being karaoke night and we had drinks, food and amazing entertainment! WOW some of the people there were INCREDIBLE singers- and dancers! We got a little NSYNC, Bye Bye Bye and it truly wowed us! I asked the bartender to make me their favorite cocktail, I don't know what it was but it had tequila and was delicious! We also had the Bacon Cheddar Tots ($10), Sliders ($14), and Fried Zucchini ($9). Everything was well seasoned, flavorful, and cooked well. The perfect food pairings with late night bites. Even though the crowd seemed to be a lot of regulars, we felt welcomed in and really enjoyed ourselves. We found metered street parking easily and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Using the yelp app. Due to glitching with the internet service one order was duplicate 7 more times in error and the order went through. Online with Grubhub they left me on hold for 45 minutes and once I reached this location, after I also sent an email, I was told to call another location that was closed. I held one line and called Grubhub from my husband's phone. We are now 30 minutes from the original order being placed and they say it's in process and can't be stopped. Two hours later a delivery person showed up with all this food. We try to declined the order and the driver, nice guy, tells us to call again to get it addressed. All this food going to go to waste.
