Gyro potato dish! 5
Jacob D.

Best food in Kenosha. Big portions of rice & meat. Super friendly staff will make you feel like a regular. Kebab is great, gyro potato is fantastic, Shawarma, all of it. Never disappointed.

Unknown eggplant dish that I think is fried eggplant.

Great food, quality food, clean casual dining. I enjoyed the baba ganoush topped with Jerusalem salad. I know baba ganoush, and this was yummy baba ganoush. The Jerusalem salad was SO SO fresh! My dining companion had gyro with fries. Ton of fries, ton of meat, fries were delicious! Very, very clean place!!!! Prompt service. I've never seen tzatziki piped like that! It was scrumptious. I would like to try whatever eggplant dish this is next time. I didn't see it on the menu, and didn't have a lot of time in my day to explore (my theory is when in doubt, baba ganoush). But there WILL be a next time.

My husband and I tried this for the first time tonight. I've never been a gyro person but a girl I work with had this one day and it smelled amazing! I am giving this place 4 stars strictly for the gyros! They were huge and delicious and were not expensive. We also got a philly sandwich. The menu said it comes with lettuce, tomato and Mayo. Didn't sound too bad but when we started eating the sandwich the Mayo, lettuce and tomato were all in the bottom of the bun. The hot meat was put on top which made the lettuce and tomato all hot and soggy. My husband also had fries and they were ok but just didn't taste fresh. We would definitely have this place again but probably only sticking with the gyros from here on out.

GYRO GEM We just wanted a gyro sandwich and we found a place near Highway 50 in Kenosha. We walked in and we walked out. The reason why...it didn't feel authentic. I went to the Yelp App and found this restaurant. When we walked in we knew we were at the right place and that we had made a great choice for our food. They have a few tables outside and luckily the weather was nice so we dined outdoors. The best part is that after they took our order they told us they would bring our food to us. This was great because we didn't want to linger inside waiting for our order to come up. The one guy at the front of house was really good. He was running meals to tables and out to cars. He was was definitely working his butt off and going above and beyond. We were so hungry and our eyes were big. We got a couple of gyro sandwiches, onion rings, lentil soup and a chicken shawarma platter. The platter came with hummus, pita bread, salad and yellow rice plus it was topped with a generous amount of seasoned chicken. Everything was so delicious. We even had to take home some leftovers. The pita bread was so good. I talked to the guy behind the counter and he told me they make it fresh daily. Honestly one of the best pita breads I've ever had. The onion rings rocked too. I swear they were homemade but he told me that they were trying a new vendor this week. I told him that they scored and to keep them. He said that many people were complementing them. They fooled me. I really thought they were made in house. The soup was so good. I really need to learn how to make a good Mediterranean lentil soup. This soup kicked some culinary butt. The gyro sandwiches were old school with onion, tomato and sauce. They totally hit the spot. They were why we came here. The hummus was fantastic too. We'd totally come back here. It isn't on a huge main road. Nor is right at the intersection but the locals know it. There was a steady stream of people picking up food. I loved that. It may be hidden but local people know about this gem. It is now on our radar and we can hardly wait to come back.

YUM! I've been there twice, and I tried the gyro and the schawarma. Gyro was better. Huge portions. Cheap!

Absolutely recommended with 5 stars!…read more I heard about this restaurant from TikTok as it is rated the #1 restaurant in Lake County and now I see why! We stopped in for some lunch. We were greeted by owner Marlene who is absolutely wonderful. We placed our order and got some fresh lemon water. I ordered the lunch special Chicken and Gyro plate and he ordered the Lamb Kabob Plate. While we waited for the food we chatted with Marlene and we were given some baklava (love that stuff). My goodness, the aroma coming from my plate was so good. The meats were cooked to perfection and the vegetables were just right. He told Marlene that was not his first choice for food but this meal changed his mind. The pitas and sauces were delicious as well. Presentation is nice and portion sizes are large. I brought some home. I feel so bad because I forgot to tip which is crazy for us. But, this just means we have to return soon and give a large tip. Don't skip trying this place, you won't be disappointed! Closed on Sunday so plan accordingly.

Believe the reviews! LOVED this restaurant. We stopped by…read morefor a late lunch and each of us had a little something different and we enjoyed everything. The owner helped us choose since we had never been there before. She was so friendly and welcoming. I'd go back just to sit and talk to her, felt like family. Started with some Hummus, followed by a Beef & Chicken Shawerma Plate and a Lamb Shawerma Wrap and finished up with some Baklava. Large portions and very reasonably priced.
