We stopped here after my daughter's graduation. I was very happy with this choice. The language barrier was a minor problem but the servers made it all good and they are so friendly! We ordered a ton of food and drinks. I didn't snap pix of the food but everyone loved their meal. I did order something spicy and the server asked me if I was sure I wanted that. I did and It was definitely spicy! I was sweating but I loved my meal. The restaurant is decorated in beautiful Indian decor and it's beautiful. Great place for a meal. This place has all the dishes you crave for! We kicked off the dinner with some mango lassi, which was thick, creamy, and tasted like aamras. It was full of cardamom and saffron flavor and topped with whipped cream. Chole kulcha & bhatura is a must-try!! The bhatura was not oily, which was surprising, and the kulcha was so soft. The chole gravy was delicious, and the pickle paired really well with the combo. The chaat items weren't great. Dahi bhalla felt dry and didn't absorb the flavors of the chaat. Papadi chaat was oily, which was a turn-off. Malai chaap was great. The soy was tender and had a smoky flavor. The malai gravy was really yummy and paired super well with the chaap. For entrées, we had the Veg Hyderabadi, which was a spinach-based gravy. All the veggies were tender and absorbed the flavors of the spices. Paneer labandar was super yummy. The gravy was flavorful and mildly spicy, and the paneer was tender. Daal makhani was really great--perfectly creamy and spicy with amazing flavor. I was super excited to try the rumali roti, but it was a bit disappointing. It wasn't soft and had a LOT of butter. The garlic naan, however, was super soft and yummy. We ended the dinner with rasmalai, which was super yummy and loaded with dry fruits. Moong daal halwa tasted very comforting on this cold evening. ......A tiny smile goes a long way! This was my third visit to this place, I drive from 35 minutes away to dine here by myself. I love Indian cuisine and culture. I've order the same meal, each time. Butter chicken (mild) and garlic naan. Today, I found a beard hair in my medium butter chicken. Order was wrong even though I requested mild twice. I know it was medium because it made my nose run. I would have happily brought it to the staffs attention, but they are cold, standoffish and downright rude. I figured it wasn't worth the confrontation. I thought the public should hear about my experience. Today was my final visit. I'm sure there are other Indian restaurants in the area who would be more welcoming (smiling) and keep the hair out of the food. Do better read more

This is a great place for quality Indian food. I ordered for delivery so cannot comment on the service or location itself but definitely recommend the food. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken malai tikka, paneer pakoras, gluten free naan, and a mango lassi. The chicken was tender and well flavored. I thought the balance of spice was perfect, not too much but not at all bland. The chicken in the malai tikka had a good char on the edges which really enhanced that tandoori flavor. I was really excited about the gluten free naan as I haven't had naan in many years. It was good, definitely not as soft or stretchy as normal naan but a decent vehicle for soaking up extra sauce. The mango lassi was great and I enjoyed the pakoras as well. The portions are appropriate but not huge. I was worried I had way over ordered but I was able to make two normal sized meals with what I received. Glad Kenosha has this spot and I imagine I'll be ordering again in the future. read more

India Masala House has some of the best Indian (mainly Punjabi) food anywhere! It is always hot and fresh, tasty and delicious; the staff are very friendly and polite, and will answer your questions about many of the dishes and tell how they are prepared. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing; there are very big windows on the side and you can look out at the sky while you are eating. The food is excellent; the spice levels vary across the different dishes so be sure to ask your server. They are happy to heat them up or cool them down for you, and will also bring you little samples before ordering as well. The samosas are almost as good as Mummie's, absolutely bursting with flavour and spice. The Hyderabadi chicken is a treasure. Oh, my god. It's so good. I can't stop eating it. The Chicken Biryani is wonderful, as is the Vegetable Masala. Oh, my goodness! There is also a buffet Tuesdays through Fridays which is terrific; there are lots of dishes and you can try them all. New place in town and has been open for about a month. Heard through a new business owner in town, got which I also did a review of their establishment. It's about time we have a true Indian restaurant in Kenosha. This restaurant is located where Charcoal Grill once was. Place was remodeled, giving it that Indian decor. Upon walking in, you would expect a bigger place, but don't fret, there is a bigger banquet hall next door for larger parties. I was immediately greeted and seated. Not so loud Indian music is playing in the background. There are plenty of booth tables, bar height tables, and a square like bar area with counter height seating. It is a full bar. I myself have never tried to drink any alcoholic beverages whenever I've eaten Indian food. Ruins the taste to me. Honestly, I have to say, I didn't experience any of the negatives that were posted on Yelp. I will talk about one minor issue below, i think is a slight change for the better. However, please give them a chance as I can see they are listening to their customers and making some changes. I know, you're probably saying come on dude, the foooooood! Lol First, they have a large selection of appetizers and meals. My food overall was a 5 out of 5. I had the Chicken Malai Tikka Rolls, which was outstanding, especially with the mint sauce and the cream sauce. I don't understand why my taste buds went crazy when I added the red onion to my fork. Flavor was all over my tongue, and no it wasn't spicy. For my main course, I had the Lamb Saag with medium spice. Medium was just enough heat for me. Good lord, that meat was so tender. It's a delicious dish that comes with rice and I ordered the Garlic Naan. I do believe you will be pleased with the food, but if I say I'll be back, that means the food is pretty decent. The prices are pretty decent to as nothing is over $19.00. For dessert, I had the Tres Leches Cake. Yummy it was. Soft and spongy in the middle and not too sweet. I was surprised when they told me it house made and not store bought. The wait staff was awesome. I can't count the number of times I was checked on. I really appreciated that a lot, because it allowed me time to ask questions. They even explained some of the menu items as well. Couple of things to note. They have a lunch buffet Monday through Thursday from 11 to 3. Menu items expected to change daily. Lastly, they will allow payment of your bill at the table. I asked and they obliged. It might be obvious the staff might be new at this, but to me they are willing and able to make a few changes as needed. I wish India Masala House nothing but success. I'll be back for sure. We go to the India Masala House often and have always enjoyed their lunch buffet. I like their Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Dal's, especially Dal Makhani. We have also tried their dinner menu and enjoyed the various dishes and deserts on their menu. How refreshing to have a meal where the aromatic seasoning brought such amazing fresh taste to our meals. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala which had large chunks of delicious chicken in a fabulous sauce that went together so well with a side of rice that you could scoop it over and enhances your meal. I had the Chicken Momos which was an appetizer dumpling that was just as delicious and of course Naan bread which was fluffy and bubbly and was a bonus to our meal. We decided to wait for the establishment and staff to get settled before fighting the long wait times and lines that are to be expected when a new restaurant opens, and so we tried in November. The place is set up very well with large booths to seat up to 6 and eat comfortably. Everyone greeted us and were very friendly. Once seated, Harry did a wonderful job taking our order for drinks and explaining spice levels, portions, and guiding us through the menu. He took our order and our food came out in minutes. It was delicious, warm, and filling. He picked up on all queues and brought out water, containers, etc as needed without interrupting our conversation. Did I mention we walked in minutes before they closed? We did! And they treated us with the patience and time as they would have if we showed up at 6 pm. We were not rushed and there were no shortcuts. We will be back to try other dishes and spice levels! read more

Food was alright, but the policy is not. We came as a family and most of the food was too spicy for our kids (1 and 3) so they only ate maybe a few bites each (literally 2 cucumbers and a smashed up pieces of chicken). We didn't eat expect everything to be so spicy as there are normally more options. They charge 8.95 per kid and 18.95 per adult. My husband did talk to the lady at the counter and she took off the extra charges but warned us that they always charge for kids. DON'T TAKE KIDS HERE. The food was good but spicier than usual buffets where we're from and no real 'safe' options for pickier eaters. read more

This is hands down, no contest, won by a landslide, can't hold a candle too, 100% the best Indian food I've ever had. If I want Indian food I'm coming here, I don't care how far I have to drive. This is my spot. We had two appetizers the samosas and the fried cauliflower. Two entrees the lamb biryani and I forget what kind of chicken. The most delicious garlic naan, my daughter had American food the chicken tenders and French fries cuz she ain't ready for flavor. Also a dessert. IT WAS ALL ON POINT. Every bite, every drop, every crumb. We can't wait to come back , we already know what we want next time. FOOD: Excellent: aloo samosa, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala. Not great: chana masala, mattar paneer, chicken tikka appetizer (well seasoned chicken sitting on wilted iceberg lettuce); samosa chat (what was that? Looked like "samosa hash"). Mango lassi and Mango milkshakes very small and room temperature. Naans had a "pancake" flavor rather than yeasted breads. No serving spoons in the dishes so we had to use our individual spoons (fine if you like mixing all the flavors on the table.) SERVICE: Slow and inconsistent. Server spilled glass of water on one of our party, barely mopped it up with a few napkins and left a huge puddle under the table (slipping hazard). Had to be asked for more napkins. Brought tiny take out containers for our leftovers. Did not put item prices on our check. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE: Restaurant card machine broke down: they only would take cash or Zelle (which we don't have). Amazingly we came up with the $120 (sorry server, nothing left for your "tip.") AMBIANCE: Tables too high for the bench seating (even our taller people had the table almost to their chins). Other seating were high top chairs, no thanks. Restaurant designers used the sunroom booths for regular diners, apparently saving really nice seating for the unused banquet area hidden behind doors behind the cash register. read more

When we were getting seated, host or owner (I couldn't tell) asked us if it was ok that there was a little rice on the seats and floor before explaining that there was a child in the last party of people. First Indian restaurant where no chutney was served. We ordered apps that took about 30 minutes to get to our table. With the wait times for the servers, we were there for close to 2 hours and there were only 4 of us.
