And, dare I say, better version. Except for their avgolemeno soup. Such a weak travesty. Please fix this. It's just a watery mess. However, everything else is delicious. I ordered the Greek Chicken with their lemon-butter rice. They debone the chicken and serve atop a mountain of their rice. If also had their potatoes (which are good) but the rice is magical. The first time we went, they had a serve yourself soda fountain and they since got rid of it and sell soda in bottles and cans. They do still have a self-serve water station. Once you order, staff will bring to your table, so please tip when you order or leave on the table as they do come by and clear your table as well. It is first come first served and you grab your own tables. I've been there on weekends and weeknights and they get pretty packed. The food is flavorful and quite tasty. The portions are huge so you're definitely going to bring something home. Nostimo is now in our rotation of places to go in a pinch and they do have an outdoor seating area, too.

I normally get a Gyro but tonight, 12/30, I asked the counter dude how was the Italian Beef and he said it was one of his 3 favorites. Now being an employee he's not going to say it made himself sick and chucked for days but let me tell you...HE WAS SPOT ON RECOMMENDING THE ITALIAN BEEF! Soooooo Tender and Tasty! I will definitely try his other faves next time thru! Maybe someday I will go back to the gyro but not in the short term. The gyro's are great this gives me other options now! read more

Had an amazing experience at Gyro Grill! I ordered the beef kefta plate and everything about it was on point. The meat arrived piping hot and perfectly cooked. It came with rice, the smoothest hummus I've ever had, and a light, refreshing salad of finely diced lettuce, cucumber, and tomato. We were about to leave and the kind owner suggested the kanafa and I'm so glad we stayed for that because it was incredible. Definitely better than Antipeli's (Albany Park) and perhaps a little bigger than Al Bawadi's. FYI, kanafa is made of shredded phyllo dough, cheese, pistachios, and honey - it's the ultimate Palestinian dessert and it's a must try. The owner mentioned having this as a kid, sandwiched in pita bread for convenience, so we did just that and believe it or not - it makes a great sweet, sandwich!! We'll be back Grill House!!
