Our meals came, great job with timing the different meals looking great. The medium-rare prime rib was great on top, but the bottom had a 1/8" deep sear that was a surprise. I ordered two gyros, one for me and one for my better half, and nothing else. At $9 each, the price seems a bit high to me, but then again, everything seems expensive to me these days. A quick web-check shows me that nine bucks is about average for the area, and speaking from experience, these Gyros seem above average in quality for the area. My only other (real) complaint? The hours. With labor/wages being what they are these days, I can understand the short hours, but that doesn't mean that I LIKE them. If you want to taste a little bit of culinary heaven, keep your eye on the calendar and the clock. Gyro Hicks is open from 11AM to 1:30PM, and only open on Weds, Thurs, Fri, and Sat. I walked outside the hotel and voila. The guy running the cart is pleasant enough. He made the sandwich quickly. The gyro was fine. The lamb was not really seasoned like gyro meat. But it was tender and tasted good. There's some tomatoes, onions, and a tzatziki like sauce. Not enough of anything but meat. That's why it costs a dollar for extra tomatoes, a dollar for extra onions, and a dollar for extra sauces. I'd recommend extra everything. For a late night drinking area cart, it's good. On that scale, it's a solid 4.
