Read a review on the Italian beef sandwich because that was what I was craving, and it didn't disappoint. The flavor of the meat and peppers and the soft roll were amazing. On vacation and have only had this type of sandwich a couple of times, but I would highly recommend theirs. If this is your craving definitely give them a try. First off the taste is not bad. However, take a look at the photos. This was supposed to be their big or giant GYRO. Is that what this looks like? I really don't think this has much meat in it whatsoever. I've never seen chopped lettuce in a gyro either but I can handle that. I unfortunately knew there was going to be an issue when the lamb on the spit had to be heated up as I stood there waiting since It wasn't already heated and turning. The seemed to have all three spits turned off and it was only 1:30. Cannot understand the lack of veg at all - that's the cheap stuff people Honestly this was a sad experience. I have to add that I ate about 1/2 of this gyro, not for lack of being hungry but mildly warm lamb turns cold quickly and without more veg this turned dry quick. They tzatziki sauce was off putting as well. Was this a bad day here for them or a regular occurrence of low quality, poor timing on shutting down cooking elements, not enough business to keep the basics on? The most average gyro and fries I've ever tasted. Never seen tzatzik globbed on there like it was. Nice guys though.

Food is ok; not anything to write home about. My rice was warmed up in a microwave because it came out nuclear hot, plus I heard the beeping of the control panel and the clunk of the door. Gyro meat came off of the spindle which is bought, and not layered in house. With that, you're losing some of the flavor of it. If you want an equal flavor gyro, head to Festival and get some gyro slices and warm up a pita. Easy lunch to fill the gut. read more

absolutely terrible food and service. Everything was gross and when I asked for my money back, because I couldn't even eat the crap, they threw a fit. The tzatziki sauce is gross. The pita bread wasn't even grilled the euro meat burners weren't even on as they cut the meat and steamed it in the steamer. Over priced microwaved food at best. this was the worst gyro sandwich I've ever had and almost the worst customer service experience. A rock solid no muss, no fuss, no pretense feed trough that knows how to pack in a full meal for a bargain. Ordered the Traditional Gyro meal here and received more meat than I could comfortably consume (but did), probably a good 2 1/2 cups of white rice, tomato slices, olives, sliced onions and the Tzatzik sauce + two slabs of pita to wrap your own. That's a *lot* of food. Served in a styrofoam container, plastic fork. No charge for house water. All that for $7.25. That's a good deal for that price and it was a meal that could easily be split between two adults. And here's the kicker, the absolute proof this is a desirable lunch spot: the local police eat here. This is the best Gyro meat that I've had in a long time, maybe ever. My son is super picky with his food and he even enjoyed it. This is a bit of a drive for me, but it is so good I won't waste my time with any other Gyro restaurant that is closer. I also tried the Baklava and it was very good. Super solid gyros to be found here. I love that they offer a small gyro as that's perfect for me. My husband and I came here on a weekday for lunch and we were literally the only people here (how could that be?!). The guy behind the counter was a jack of all trades - took the order, made the food, served it to us. Give that man a raise! The gyros were fresh, superbly seasoned meat, just the right amount of veggies and the tzaziki sauce was delicious. We shared an order of fries and...question: why do Greek restaurants have the best fries ever? It's a phenomenon that I have yet to answer but I do reap the benefits, for sure. These fries were fresh, crispy on the outside, soft and potatoe-y on the inside. Perfection is the first word that comes to mind. The place is clean and has tables and booths. The fountain soda machine was closed (go away, Covid!) but they had 20 oz sodas in a cooler in lieu of iced drinks. It's a hard thing to find a decent gyro place but this one is a winner. EVERYTHING is fantastic here. My family has tried most of the menu and everything has been really good. Our go-to is the Italian Beef though. For those of you who are familiar with Portillo's, this is the closest I've ever found outside of Chicagoland. In the greater Green Bay area, this is literally hands down the best Italian Beef around and it isn't close. I've tried Beef's at over 15 other places in the area and NONE can hold a candle to Gryo Kabobs. Other favorites: the Chili is nice and meaty, Greek Fries are real good, Chili Cheese Fries are great when we want to feel like pigs and you simply can't go wrong with the Gyros. To top it all off, the guys that work there are always nice and friendly! Go get yourself and Italian Beef! It is sloppy and DELICIOUS!! read more

Ok, so this place looks like an old Subway, which is totally because it's in an old Subway, but don't let that turn you off: if you're looking for cheap food that comes in enormous portions and tastes pretty fine, this is the place. The gyro meat is well-seasoned and amazingly enough, the chicken ("healthy gyro") version is almost as delicious as the high octane stuff, and I have yet to be able to finish the small-size gyro. Considering the "regular" gyro costs $6 and easily contains 3/4 lbs of meat (maybe even a full pound), it's certainly a hearty and inexpensive meal, and I think most people would be very satisfied with the small size. The falafel appetizer is extremely tasty, probably the best falafel I've had in the Midwest (which isn't saying a lot but still) and another huge portion. The baklava isn't anything to write home about, sadly, but it's still an enormous wedge for $1.50 and seriously, how can you even be thinking about dessert after eating a gyro bigger than your head? Good stuff, probably extremely popular with the after-bar crowd (I know that he stays open past bar time on the weekends) and very cheap eats. Check them out! read more

I love this place. The gyros are awesome. I usually stick it the small gyro and it is huge! It also come with a very reasonable price tag. The veggies are good (no brown lettuce or soggy tomatoes) I ordered the regular size when we stopped in after bar close (they are open till 3 am on the weekend), and could only eat about half. The greek fries are also great. They top hot fries malt vinegar, salt, pepper, and feta cheese. Yum. Last time I was there I ran into friends just finishing their meal. They suggested the Cinnamon pita. It was also very good. My boyfriend ate most of it while I worked on the greek fries. :) Great place for a quick cheap (big) bite! read more

Came here twice while was in the town ( in less than 24 hours) Would give them 10 stars if I could, 4 thumbs up :D The portions sizes are very generous. Well looking at Wendy's review it appears my suspicion that this place used to be a Subway are confirmed. I gave this 4 stars due to the fact that for a lunch spot in Green Bay, this place is one of the better ones. I got the gyro salad with a side of pita bread and it was great. It came with a dill-vinaigrette dressing, meat, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Everything was fresh and the portion was HUGE. My friend got the house special gyro which was a massive amount of meat. We also got the vegetarian appetizer which had falafel, dolmades (the stuffed grape leaves), feta cheese, and olives. Falafel was so-so, probably wouldn't get it again but it was a nice little appetizer. For the both of us plus the app it was $20 and it was more food then we could ever eat. Service was great, everything was clean, plus they accept American Express, which for a business traveler like me is a plus. read more

I hate to admit to late night eating, but following a very stressful day at work (2nd shift) I swung by Gyro Kabobs. I'll be honest, I'm not such a big gyro fan, but after reading yelp, I wanted to try the Greek fries. I ordered a chicken gyro and Greek fries. Service was quick, and friendly. The food was very good. Tasted homemade, light and yummy. The four stars has nothing to do with the food or business, just the fact that I would only eat here occasionally. btw, I ordered the small chicken gyro, which is more than enough for one person. I had a small chicken gyro. It was very delicious and the portion was solid for a "small." I recommend getting it with feta cheese, the feta here was really really good and fresh. My only gripe was the prices. They must have raised them based on other reviewers saying how cheap it was. My small chicken gyro and a small fountain diet coke cost 10.50. I would give five stars for the food, but the service is unbelievably poor every time. I have been here four times, but the people behind the counter are super rude. No matter how polite and pleasant I try to be, it turns out the same. Don't even think about using a coupon or a gift certificate if you're not ready to hear grunts, groans, and negative comments. My advice to the owner would be to never have coupons, gift certificates, etc. if you are going to have a fit every time someone tries to use them. He won't let you use a gift certificate on the monthly special without changing it back to full price. I'm starting to wonder if the food is worth the hassle if my food is always going to come with a side of attitude. read more
