The gyro station is a good restaurant with amazing service (such a nice staff) and and great prices. The baklava here is AMAZING!! The bottom layers are completely soaked in honey--they're so sweet and nutty. The lamb and beef gyro had pretty tender meat and was overall a pretty good gyro but not amazing. It was a little weird to me that there was a pickle in it, and there was a ton of shredded lettuce that made it a little hard to eat. There was a really good amount of yummy tzaziki sauce, though, which certainly made it taste more authentic, whereas things like the pickle and the flavor of the grilled onions (or cooking them at all) was really surprising to me and I don't think really worked with the style of the gyro. read more

Was craving a gyro during my lunch break and found this little fast casual spot in Kent Station. Ordered the lamb/beef gyro wrap, the worker grilled up my meal while I sat patiently. To add combo Greek fries and a soda was only $4, I didn't end up getting them though. Gyro came out quickly, pita was warm and veggies were cool. It was perfect amount of food for my lunch, honestly a little too filling actually. The menu says pickles which really confused the heck outta me, but I didn't see any on the wrap. We stopped in to grab take-out during the covid recovery. The staff was friendly and the interior of the location looked well cleaned and maintained. We ordered a gyro plate and a gyro wrap. The order was prepared quickly. Their Gyro meat is well cooked and deliciously seasoned. Their rice is amazing and very fragrant! The rest of the ingredients were fresh and tasty too. Decent place for some Mediterranean food. The workers here are nice but the preparation can be a little slow at times. I think that the gyro and falafel here are pretty standard. The salad on the side is fresh and tasty. Rice is also pretty good and flavorful. In a small sauce container they also provided a tahini of some sort. Not a big deal, they happily gave me a new one and apologized. The floor was dirty and there were some small flies around my table which bothered me a bit. I see them make the food as orders come in but I'm not sure why the meat in the wrap wasn't that hot. The gyro fries has the right about of sauce and feta(?) cheese but I'd have loved it if it was a bit more crispy. What used to be Gyro Stop has now changed to Gyro Station. With new ownership taking over just five months ago, this new business is miles ahead of the previous. Their menu is more simple, fresh, and delicious. One of the owners is named Ala. He's from Palestine and is a wonderful cook with an equally as welcoming demeanor. I recommend the lamb and beef. I ordered through Uber Eats at 2pm on a Friday. I ordered their Gyro plate bundle which was supposed to serve 2 people. I also ordered a slice of Baclava. So the Gyro plate bundle came with a soda and fries. The description of the Gyro Plate (not the bundle which had no description) was supposed to be served with Pita bread. So since it feeds two people and I had to select a can of soda I expected two cans of soda, and pita bread. I ended up getting one can of soda and no pita bread. The amount of salad I got with the bundle was clearly only enough for one person but the lamb and rice was enough for two. Horrifyingly the baclava was soggy not flaky and crispy. Overall the salad, lamb, and rice were very good, my single soda for two people was hot since they put it next to the food, I didn't get the pita bread I'm pretty sure I was supposed too, and the baclava was warm but soggy. Just a good solid restaurant that serves well made proportions of Mediterranean food. Simple yet delicious and add a affordable price! Are usually go here once a week to get my Mediterranean fix. The typical entrées I get are the Gyro wrap sandwiches, which are super filling for that satisfied full taste. Not that Mediterranean food is heavy in the stomach but heavenly in the heart. The other entrée is the "Plate" dishes served with your choice of meats or veggie. I find that Mediterranean food in general is nice and light (again satisfying w/o feeling stuffed!) and the plate dishes do that (dipping the pita bread in the hummus dip is a nice change of pace from American type food!) And the two side dishes I generally get are the falafel's and the Greek fries. The falafel's come with hummus dip but I usually ask for Tzatziki dip as well (no charge!)
