If you are looking for good fast casual Greek food, Gyromania is the place to go! They have a large menu with appetizers, platters, pita wraps and even burgers. Can't forget the kiddos as they also have a kid's menu with more than just chicken tenders and a burger (though also on the menu). We went with the gyro platter that comes with the shawarma, salad, choice of fries or rice and a drink. In addition, we also ordered the chicken pita. Both items were delicious, packed with flavor. There were a few crunchy pieces of the shawarma that were tasty. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the portion sizes are generous. The dining area is clean, the wait for your food isn't too, too long, but I'm sure there is a wait when they are super busy just like anywhere else. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Great fast food option with Mediterranean touch. You pay for your order at the counter and they will bring you the food. Aglomeno soup (not pictured in review, because I enjoyed it do much I forgot to snap a pic) and Greek salad. I wanted something light, but didn't realize the salad would be more than expected. I got pretty full, so I was glad I didn't get any appetizers with these :) My last visit, I started with their frappe. I opted for the chunky lentil soup along with their falafel appetizer, and still ordered the salad, but just remembered it was more than plenty. :) This place might be fast food style, but the food options satisfy your belly! So happy we ran into this location. To start off the owner Mike is such a friendly and welcoming man. Gets to know the customers that are new or aren't usuals and turns them into usuals. The menu has many options from pitas to gyros to salads. I went with the chicken pita and it was a very good portion and extremely delicious. The location is a casual spot which sells beer and wine. Amazing new local Mediterranean restaurant. Great find. This place has a large menu with several different options. Perhaps the best Gyro I have eaten in many years. The gyro meat is shaved fresh off the rotisserie. Natalia, who took our order, was pleasant and had great knowledge of the menu and offerings. David, the owner, made sure we were completely satisfied and he went out his way to give us over the top service. The restaurant is an "order at the counter, and have a seat" experience. I've never eaten a gyro before that didn't contain sliced gyro meat. Instead it had huge chunks of meat. Good flavor but very different, my beef souvlaki pita was quite good. The fries and spanakopita fritters were awful as the grease they were fried in was well past its toss out date. As for the baklava, if you blindfolded me and had me taste the baklava and one of my shoes, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. Not too thrilled with my first experience at Gyromania Grill. I have ordered from this place and each time they are very unorganized, which is unfortunate because their gyros are pretty good. I think management could step up since I once called and waited for my order to be prepared for over an hour and ended up getting a refund. The second time their phone was not working and also took a while to recieve a horribly built gyro. After I fixed it, it was good but too much hassle for a gyro. read more

It was 1:30 PM on a weekday when I just finished getting blood work done. I was starving because I had to fast for the blood work appointment. I was really debating between a Vietnamese Banh Mi or something else. Then I realized Gyromania just opened and damn a gyro sounded tasty. Haven't had one in forever. I was also in the area so I opted for Gyromania! Gyromania Grill is located in Monterra Commons Plaza at the corner of Sterling and University area. You can find Gyromania next to Cali Coffee and Playa Bowls. They are also opening Svaada London Curry House located right next door. When you walk in, the place is more spacious than I anticipated. I was expecting a smaller space with a couple of tables and a counter to order your food. This is not the case. There is plenty of seating and a huge area to order your food and watch them make your food. All I wanted was a simple gyro pita today. The pricing is very reasonable at $8.75. The gentleman helping me was very welcoming and friendly. Found out later his name was David and he's the owner. Love seeing owners putting in the work to help their business succeed. All staff here was very nice. My gyro was perfection! When they called my order, I thought I might need extra tzatziki sauce so I asked for a side and David said no problem. Turned out I didn't need the extra sauce. My gyro had an abundance of meat, veggies and tzatziki sauce. The pita was hot and nicely toasted. I really enjoyed my gyro. I want another one! Lol. Grabbed a quick dinner here last night and heard good reviews of the place. This is a hybrid fast food/ sit down type place. It was clean and open. The staff were very friendly, inviting and answered all questions about the menu. I went with the lamb souvlaki with a side salad and peas, yes peas. You don't usually see them at these types of restaurants as a side item. The meal also came with tzatziki and pita bread. The food was very good. My lamb was cooked to a prefect medium and the peas were tasty. What I liked was that the owner/manager told me that the peas were at the end of the batch and that if I didn't like them let him know and he would replace them for something else. Stopped at Gyromania while running errands for an upcoming trip. It's not always easy to find quick vegetarian options, but the thought of falafel had us excited. The place looks brand new and is super clean inside, including the kitchen area. We walked in right at noon and had the whole spot to ourselves. I ordered the falafel platter with Greek potatoes (so darn good) and upgraded to the village salad, surprise - upcharge, which I don't mind, but a heads-up before paying would've been nice. The plate also came with Tzatziki sauce and pita bread. I loved EVERY SINGLE BITE! The portions are huge and the taste is wonderful, which leads me to my next point. For the plate and a bottle of water, I paid $23.05. I have a golden rule for dinning: If the food is good and the portions make sense, Inhave no problem paying the price -- and Gyromania is well worth it. My hubby loves gyros so we headed over to this place on a Friday afternoon, not busy at all. The place is nice & clean, good vibe so far. They take your order like fast food place. I started with the hummus & pita & also ordered the chicken skewers with lemon potatoes & string beans. My hubby ordered 2 gyro s one a platter with fries. His gyros were up quickly & mine took several minutes to prepare. only one person cooking & doing takeouts. He did a good job considering! The hummus was ok, I mean Im use to the xtra olive oil etc, the skewers were so tender but a bit xtra pepper, still yummy with the lemon potatoes really good & a big portion. I got a doggie bag, the string beans were in some sort of sauce with onions should have asked how they were prepared. By the time I got my meal my hubby had swallowed the 2 gyros, which he apparently liked very much. All in all if you're in the mood for a gyro this will fill that craving. Stopped in to pick up some food to go at around 12:30 midweek and there were a couple of people waiting for their food. I decided on the gyro platter and chose the Greek sales and lemon potatoes as my sides. I decided to take my order to go. The give you a very generous portion of food, actually enough for two meals for me. The food was really good, the dressing that they served with the salad was delicious and I was so glad that it came on the side. I usually love lemon potatoes but found that these didn't really have a distinctive lemon flavor, what really came through was the taste of oregano and other seasonings. They weren't bad, just not what used to. I also didn't get the warm and welcoming feeling that others mentioned they got, who knows..maybe it was a bad day for the two guys that were working. The food was very reasonably priced especially for the amount of food you're given. I'd probably go back if I'm near there because there are a few other things on menu that I'd like to try. This place is relatively new and centrally located. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of tables for dine-in, although I got takeout which was super quick. What a nice surprise!! We stopped in to have dinner. It was so clean. The food was delicious and very reasonable. I ordered the lamb skewers and hubs had the chicken. It came with Greek salad and potato's. David sent out two skewers before our meal. I had ordered the lamb med rare and the skewers he sent out were medium and he didn't want to waste them so we snacked on them until the others came out. (He caught it before it even came out). This place just opened and I am so glad that it did. We have been waiting for a restaurant like this to open in our area. The prices are decent and the food was excellent. In fact, we ate there two nights in a row. I ordered the gyro platter on the first night and the chicken platter on the second night. The platters come with two sides and pita bread. I chose the fries and the greek salad on both nights. The chicken was really good and I would definitely order it again. The gyro was decent, too. They give you a lot of food and even the sides are great in portion size. They have a kids menu which is nice as well. They implemented a rewards program; however, on the first night, the woman did not mention it. On the second night, the employee informed me about it. But the salad was amazing. For a side salad it was really a full salad. It was a mix of the Greek salad and the village salad. Great blend. And the feta is fresh and plentiful. The lemon potatoes were good. We ordered the gyro platters with salad and lemon potatoes as sides. The quantity of food was tremendous. We both brought some home. And one of my favorite things is they have soda water on the dispenser as well as flat water. However, the people that work there are super nice and I would say the food is good but not great. It was missing something. I just couldn't put my finger on it. I'm going to give it another try. They need to provide more sauces for the sandwiches and a better dressing. Well, the salad had no dressing I had to ask for olive oil. My go to Greek place is off of Pines Blvd., Mezes Greek.
